We had a delightful dinner at Victor's. I had two amaretto sours which were delicious. Our appetizer was their char & cheese board; I highly recommend the bleu cheese and honeycomb together. For my entree I had the vegetarian orzo but added shrimp. It was divine. The roasted vegetables were so good. My wife had the filet medallions, asparagus, and garlic mashed potatoes. She loved it all. We also split the roasted corn and sweet potato hash as a side and it was also delicious! read more

One of the BEST steaks I've ever had, which I did not expect from this steakhouse in such a small town; a true hidden gem. Ordered the pure angus beef tenderloins with whipped potatoes and asparagus. The steak was cooked perfectly, had an AMAZING dry rub on the outside (my favorite part), and was so tender I could cut it with my butter knife. The wait service and the atmosphere are both delightful. We sat outside on the patio (dog-friendly btw), which is pleasantly cool, with plenty of shade and fans (atleast 10 degrees cooler than it was in the sun, which made it doable to sit outside in the summer). Victor's is truly a treasure--and worth the drive to Florence, SC, if you aren't local. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The menu features a wide variety of appetizers, soups and seasonal offerings. The ginger mule cocktail was delicious. Pitch Perfect - Will Recommend & Return We are from New York City. We called around 7pm on Sunday to request a reservation for 9. They informed us that's when the restaurant closes, but they could accommodate us for an 845 arrival. We made it in time. The hostess is beyond lovely. Proactive and solution oriented, she's an ideal front of house ambassador. Our server was Pierce, and he was exceptional. For context: we are passing through from NYC, and my travel companion and I are inherently critical. Bottom line - While staying at Hotel Florence, we could not have asked for a more intelligent guide than Pierce for our first dinner on premise, a special jewel in the Hilton Tapestry crown. I wish I could tell you how the food was, but I cannot. We arrived on Sunday afternoon a little after 1pm, without a reservation, but was told we could have a table in 15 minutes. That was fine. Even though there were a lot of empty tables, I understand there probably weren't enough servers. There were 3 hostesses. One standing at the hostess stand, and 2 sitting behind her...after 20 minutes I asked how much longer it would be, she verified that it was for 2, the hostess said she made our reservation for 2, when I was clearly with 2 other people waiting and said we had a party of 3., she and was asked if we were okay with a high top table. I said yes, and she led us to a nice high top in the bar area, but didn't give us any menus. A waiter came out to take our drink orders, came back with water and told us we could go to the buffet. At no point did we realized it was buffet only. There is no sign stating so, and if it was a buffet, why did we wait so long? When we could get the servers attention we asked how much was the buffet, and he said it was $24. The restaurant was very comfortable and attractive. The buffet was very simple, elegant and looked delicious. I understand it was Sunday brunch, but we were looking forward to ordering off the menu, which wasn't an option.... we ended up leaving and going to the delicious Mexican restaurant across the street. On our way out, I expressed my disappointment in having to wait to be seated in a fairly empty restaurant for the buffet, she replied politely that they were short servers and the table had to be set...with the 2 other hostesses still sitting behind her this made no sense to me. Hopefully we'll come through Florence again and get to try Victors, and hopefully the service and communication will have improved by then. read more

This was our first time at Victors, but we would definitely return! I had the kabobs and their flavor was incredible and they were cooked just right! My wife had the salmon and was pleased with her choice, as well. The hostess was very pleasant and even stopped to apologize for how noisy the bar area where we were sitting was. They were busy and therefore, our service was a little slow, but caused us no problems. I would definitely recommend eating here! A fantastic place located in the boutique Hotel Florence. We arrived about 9pm and wanted to watch the hockey game. Logan set us up at the bar with some beverages- Cabernet for me and a beer for my husband. A nice selection of both at a reasonable price. They offer a 9oz pour which is appreciated. Started with deviled eggs appetizer- delicious! I got the last serving of duck on the restaurant menu- Logan requested the chef accommodate me bc it was not on bar menu and he graciously agreed!! It was delicious! Crispy, flavorful duck breast with a sauce and beautiful, fresh baby carrots cooked to perfection. My husband had the shrimp and grits which was excellent!! Busy watching the game so forgot photos but I have one to share!! We stayed the night on the property at the Hilton owned Florence Hotel and enjoyed a delicious buffet breakfast with great coffee and lattes. Homemade biscuits and blueberry loaf, fruit, French toast, fresh eggs and perfectly cooked grits. I highly recommend this restaurant!! Friendly and professional service. This was my first visit here and my last. The food here was atrocious. It was unseasoned and overcooked, so much so much of it was charred. The one redeeming quality were the fries, sort of, they were so salty I had to resort to wiping them off. I do NOT recommend this spot if you are looking for a favorable meal, there really wasn't anything to trace about. My party consisted of twelve people and the majority of the orders were different and there wasn't one meal that was satisfactory. Please, save your money and eat elsewhere. I WISH I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS! McDonalds is 1 star and even they haven't made me sick!!! This dinner kept me up power puking all night every hour on the hour from 3:00 AM when I woke up with the sudden need to vomit until 5:30 PM at the end of the day. I called the manager, ERIN, who was extremely snotty and stated THEIR FOOD DOESN'T MAKE ANYONE SICK. Never mind the fact that the server saw that my last lamp chop was completely rare and insisted he take it back. This is coming from a meat lover who always orders med. rare. When I tell you it was rare, think Lamb Tar Tar! I didn't even have to say a word to the server, he noticed it as soon as he arrived at my table and offered to whisk it away. He asked if I would like a refund and I told him no, the rest of the dinner was delicious and I was full at that point. I didn't call for a refund until power puking from 3 AM to 5 PM When I could finally hold the phone without shaking and having to make another run to the bathroom. I spoke with ERIN, the so-called manager at this point because I was frustrated with non-stop throwing up. I kid you not, ERIN called my room back after talking with the arrogant chef, because this is one of the Hilton hotels, and told me that she is extremely annoyed that I would accuse them of making me sick because nobody ever gets sick! Well **** them! I told them they needed the money more than I do and just keep it and I will be sure to let the rest of the world know not to eat their freaking nasty a$$ lamb chop from the chef who can't cook and is obviously ________ with her. Oh yes, I'm pi**sed, and believe me, YOU WOULD BE TOO. PS, there is NO where else to eat if you're at this hotel (Hotel Florence) with no car and don't feel like getting jumped walking down the street! You are STUCK with them. So. My daughter and SIL chose this restaurant and Hotel Florence for their wedding dinner and venue. So for rehearsal dinner the food was quickly picked up after everyone made one trip. Which was disappointing. Food was ok. Maybe a little bland. But overall alright. HOT. Could have had a little better fan situation out there cause we were all drenched in sweat. But ok. Then the wedding dinner. It's was also buffet serve yourself style like the evening before. Did was good. Maybe a little bland. No salt and pepper to be found. Showed up and one wall was nothing but Sheetrock and mud and tape needed to be painted. It was actually painted before the dinner. We were shocked the room didn't smell of paint and stain. But it all looked nice. Would have been nice to have sweet tea out in more than 1 pitcher. No one drinks unsweetened tea the same amount at sweet. Otherwise it all went off without issue. read more

Went here for breakfast/brunch on a Saturday. I loved the exterior, huge patio area, beautiful greenery and vine covered walls. The inside was gorgeous as well and very spacious. Large and spacious booths, a huge piano, lovely open bar. It was beautifully decorated and very clean. It wasn't that busy on a Saturday morning and we were greeted and seated immediately. Me and my sister ordered the shrimp and grits with the chicken salad croissant with fries and fruit to split. They gave us a biscuit basket with the perfect tiny little biscuit with jam and butter. It was perfectly light and airy. The shrimp and grits were outstanding. They were so creamy and came with a delicious cream sauce on top. They needed a little more seasoning, but the shrimp on top added so much flavor. My croissant sandwich was delicious as well. Perfectly creamy and sweet from the raisins. Victory goes to Victors! Such a nice little restaurant in the heart of downtown Florence. We enjoyed a nice meal with my dad for his birthday on New Years Eve. All the other restaurants were booked. Although Victors had no openings, they still worked us in without a wait. We were welcomed with fresh, warm, soft bread while reviewing the menu. Atmosphere was elegant with a piano playing in the background. The waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu, and the food was presented so well. You can tell that care was put into the food. The only drawback I'd say is the high prices for the portion size, but that is a given at a place like this :) read more

We had a group of 7, and we seated under the canopy outside. Nice setting, although we smelled cigarette smoke from a neighboring building. Our server was pleasant, it took about an hour and a half from the time we were seated until food was served, my fish tacos were stone cold and one person totally got a side she did not order and salad drenched in dressing.
