We crossed our fingers that a table might be open on our way back. Still packed. But a lovely local popped out the door and said she was just leaving and we should take her table. (This review isn't about the wonderful people of NZ, but if it was they get 5 stars too.) Once inside we had trouble choosing from the wonderful menu and case. We finally chose the Salmon Smash and Bagel w/ cream cheese. It was all fresh and delicious. The egg on the Smash was poached to perfection. And the serving was more than enough for 2. Bagel was filling with lots of seeds and creamiest cream cheese. To go we got a caramel slice and brownie. I couldn't wait and tried the slice. The best I have ever had. Loved the chocolate shortbread crust. And the caramel layer was gooey yummy ness. The staff are lovely too. So lucky we happened by this way!

There is a gravel parking lot on off Montreal Street, but this means you'll be parked on a one-way street headed south. Hope that's the direction you're headed because during rush hour, turning around isn't easy. There are some benches behind the coffee shop where you can sit and enjoy your breakfast and brew if the weather is nice. It's not covered, so if it's raining, I hope you brought an umbrella.
