I remember this place back from when my parents used to get my birthday cakes here. I recently rediscovered it when I took a class at MDC North. They have a small deli section where you can get Cuban sandwiches, Medianoches and my personal favorite Carb and Cholesterol overdose: Panes con Pasta! Yooo no lie we walked in it was only us and two people and they all was served and it was like 6 people walking behind the counter not even paying attention to us or trying to not even notice us not one of them asked if "Do you need any help?" Or "how can we help you" yet they provided service to other people . All they did was look at us and I think they thought I didn't speak Spanish however I spoke and I stated "Is someone going to assist us?" They all looked bin a shocked stared and we was the only one who were advised to get a number .. still we got a number and we were left behind the people that came in after us that's when I said "Wow racism is really real and it be my own people" Shame!!!! read more

I've always heard this was a great bakery... what a disappointment!!! We ordered 2 trays for our work event, that were sold for 50 persons at $50 each. These were 50 small pieces each. Meaning they expect that each person eats 1 item only!!! What a ripoff!!! Never mind that the trays where so greasy we had to remove the under paper and clean it, so it could look presentable and we had to go out and buy more food last minute. The quality was not the best and value was the worse. We will never order from this place again! read more

The warm stuff will be inside the display/ warmer at a low temperature so add to not overcook everything. One can always ask for their order to be warmed on the microwave. Horrible customer service!! They don't speak English and are rude about it as well. I requested a cup of ice and offered to pay it. They said they didn't have ice but I had just saw them give a cup of ice to a customer in front of me. I don't write bad reviews on places but this I was not going to let pass .Ordered a Ham,Cheese and chorizo sandwich and it seems like they didn't cut their chorizo correctly , unfortunate. Had to throw the whole thing away after I took the first bite of plastic. Service isn't that great either , I guess the lady misunderstood my order after I repeated it several times so I was missing an empanada that I probably paid for , but the receipt don't even show what you order just a total. read more

Nestled in the east Hialeah warehouse district close to miami springs and northwest miami. Place is your usual Cuban bakery that you'll find carrying most of the typical dishes and snacks. Everything was of decent quality(pastelitos of meat and guava) but I feel I must express my disgust at what I personally experienced. Avoid the chicken croquettes if you're looking to live. A blind man with a loss of taste buds could conjure a better tasting one. read more

These people know where its at! I really cant speak for the chicken croquetas, ive never had them but everything is right on with me here. Cafe con leche is always perfect, tostadas are heavenly, ham croquetas rock it. They also have a bunch of pastelitos, my favorite is the guava and cheese and they are always perfect. I live in Miami Springs, a five minute drive from this location and I was shocked to discover just around the corner was what I was told was reportedly the best pastalitos in Miami. Of course once I found this out I had to stop by and try. My first trip was in the afternoon and I went for desserts. Taking home cheesecake, rice pudding and a dulce de leche mini pie. The rice pudding by far blew me away, I haven't found any rice pudding in Miami till this point that made me want more, a hint of cinnamon, sweet cream and perfectly textured rice. The cheesecake was strange, not full of much flavor even though the consistency was right. The dulce de leche pie was good. Three days later I went back for breakfast. Since it was Sat I ordered enough for the weekend. So I got guava cheese, coconut and plain guava pastalitos and they were great on day one, two and three. My biggest disappointment was the ham croquettes, I really do not want to revisit those again ever. What impressed me was they have an extensive catering menu. Also their desserts were a little more than the typical Cuban sugar laden treats. I will definitely be back for my rice pudding and pastalitos. read more

I love going to Vickey Bakery. The croquetas are the best around. All the pastries are amazing and the coffee is well made. I also love the meals they sell. If you grew up during the 70s,80s, 90s and beyond in Miami, you know of the incredible cuban pastry shop know as Vicky, if you did and don't know this place, what rock have you lived under. There is nothing here that's good for you other than bottled water, but everything here taste damn good. My personal favorites and a must try are the guava pastries, ham croquets and of course Cuban bread with butter. While you're there drink either a Colada or Cafe con Leche and remember if you order the cortadito, share it, unless you want to fore go sleeping for the next 3 days ( unless you're immune by birth , like myself being of cuban descent ). I was really excited to have found this bakery in my way to work. The sign outside says the original Vicky Bakery, so I thought for sure it was going to be great. I ordered a dozen of croquetas and tostadas. I got in the car opened the box and everyone grabbed one and almost simultaneously everyone said eew! The croquetas were cold and soggy. I hate complaining and returning things but what was I gonna do with so many?! Went inside, the lady that helped me was very nice and asked if I would like to change for something else. I ordered tequenos and went on my way. When I got to work opened the box, they were also cold and soggy and not entirely cooked! The inside was completely raw.. so disappointed. Don't think I will ever go there again. This is not at all a good representation of the famous Vicky bakery. read more

Love the pastries here but have LOTS of patience in the morning during the week when the owner isn't there! The ladies take forever to help you. Between talking to each other and eating you will be late to work if your on a time frame. Now on the weekends when the owner is there the service is fast & exceptional. The "Special" for 25 people was absolutely disappointing. There was barely any filing in the cangrejitos and the pastelitos de queso. The bocaditos and croqueticas were also terrible. They had no taste. It seems that they used a lot of coloring and breading but no ham. I have been using this bakery for 25 years and will not be coming back. This is the second time I visit this location of Vicky Bakery and is the second time the offer awful customer service. All I wanted was a cuban bread and the server which was socializing with another lady for more than 10 min in a very rude way told me she was busy with a customer. Afterwards nobody acknowledged my presence in there and skipped me over other customers. So yeah I wont spend 1.50 or whatever the price of cuban bread is in this place or any kind of money whatsoever. This rating is in comparison to other Vicky Bakeries. This is by far my favorite Vicky's and I'm not just saying that because I'm partial to it being its the Vicky I went to growing up. This bakery is always fully stocked no matter what time you arrive. I got here near closing time (6 pm) and it was packed with fresh yummy goodies. The pastries and cakes are great. The reason I am giving this Vicky Bakery a poor review was for their service. How is it possible to pre order a cake and have to wait in their line to pick it up? Why did I sent up a pick up time? I proceed to recieve the cake and ask for the plastic knife that usually is given with the cake. The associate tells me it is not included that itll be an additional charge. I bought a package over $100 and can't get a plastic cake knife without additional charge. Keep your cake knife.
