I had seen this new restaurant when driving by a couple weeks ago and finally decided to give it a try. I ordered the Animal farm which includes an egg your way, bacon, and white cheddar. I decided to upgrade the regular biscuit to a jalapeño and cheddar biscuit which was delicious. Instead of waiting in the long line to order, I ordered online and then went to pick up my food. Once I went to pick it up, it was so quick. The location has a decent amount of seating but I think since it's still new it'll be hard to find a spot to sit if you decide to go later in the morning. I did notice they have gluten free biscuits which is a nice touch for those who are GF! Overall, I would definitely try other items on the menu. read more

My family and I ate here today. The food here is delicious but the wait time drops Vicious Biscuit from 5 stars to 4 stars. I had the breakfast plate. The eggs, potatoes and bacon were all very good. The biscuit was great (I had maple bourbon butter with my biscuit). My wife enjoyed her Vicious Benny and we all thought the beignets were delicious! We had the drip coffee and it was much better than average. Now, the downside...wait time is excessive because they only have one register open. I realize that part of this is on purpose (to control the flow of traffic) but standing in line for 20 minutes for breakfast is not ideal. Even with a line out the door, the hostess greeted us warmly, and Mike, the GM, made sure we had menus to browse while waiting. We tried the Fat Boy, Flame Thrower, a side of potatoes, and OJ, and every bite was incredible. I met my friend for brunch at Vicious Biscuit and we were in for a royal treat. We waited outside for a bit because it was so packed inside, and then we are let inside by a staff member to go wait into another line before we arrived at the counter to place our order. All in all, I would say we waited in line for about 30-35 minutes before we arrived at the front counter to place our order. Before we arrived at the front counter, another staff member gave us our table number to reserve a table for us and give to the cashier for our food order. When we placed our food order and went to our table to wait for the food, I would say our food arrived at our table within 20-25 minutes, maybe a little less than that. The ambiance is very nice and definitely a lot of brandage and signage all over the place. There is a beverage station for coffee, tea, and water for refills, and a toppings station dedicated for biscuits if you want to put jam/jelly/butter on your biscuit. The food was incredible and pure heaven! I ordered the shrimp and grits biscuit, an order of sweet puppies which is sweet potato fritters with a custard dipping, and a fresh fruit cup. Everything was very fresh made to order and tasted amazing! The sweet puppies tasted perfect and had a perfect texture to it, and paired perfectly with the custard dipping sauce. The fresh fruit cup was very fresh and had a great mixture of berries. The shrimp and grits biscuit was the highlight of my brunch. It was perfect portion and the shrimp and grits were prepared perfectly with great flavor and comfort. The shrimp was perfect texture and cooked just right. The biscuit was good and very fluffy. It completely the meal very well. I also ordered the cheddar jalapeno biscuit to go, which I have not tried yet, but I'm sure it is fabulous! My friend ordered the beignets and the biscuit and gravy. She loved them very much! I did try one of the beignets and it was heaven in my mouth! The strawberry filling and whipped cream was a perfect combination for the beignet. My friend also ordered the old fashioned egg breakfast which she loved as well. I was extremely impressed with the service at Vicious Biscuit because we were checked on at all times and everyone went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of and had everything we need for our meal. The way the restaurant operates is very organized and precise with the timing on the order and the wait time for the tables. Vicious Biscuit was terrific and loved it very much! I would recommend coming during the week and not on the weekends, because you will be waiting 30-35 minutes in line to place your order. If you haven't tried this newer restaurant in Fishers, you're missing out. It lives up to the hype. The service was fast and efficient...and there were no problems with our order. We sampled several different menu items, all of them good! Right on down to the cheese grits, which actually ARE cheesy. I'm picky about my grits. They have to be thick and flavorful and I wasn't disappointed. The Fat Boy biscuit was at the top of our list, and it's appropriately named. I suppose there are weirdos somewhere that don't care for pimento cheese, but I don't know any of them. Pimento cheese is heavenly taste bud kick that my chicken biscuit needed...and I'm grateful. Wow, what a great brunch find! We visited on a busy Sunday and was shocked to see the line out the door and a 30 minute to the counter. I now understand why this place is called "Vicious Biscuit." My family and I decided to check this place out, excited to try something new. When we walked in, we were greeted by what felt like a two-part line--very much like TSA at an airport. A person I assumed was the manager directed us to the end of a very long line, repeatedly saying, "Trust the process." We grabbed menus and waited in the first of the two lines while looking things over. As we were nearing the end of the first line, my husband suggested we place an online order instead and come back to pick it up when it was ready. We placed the order online (including a tip) and left briefly to run an errand. When we returned, my kids and I found a table while my husband waited near the barstools off to the side, where several other people were also waiting. Time passed, and no one assisted us. It eventually became clear that our food had been sitting there unattended--it all felt very disorganized. When we finally sat down to eat, I pulled our food out of the to-go bag. Shortly after, the manager came over to our table. I expected the usual "How is everything?" or "Can I get you anything?" Instead, he said, "If we were in North Carolina and you were a customer, I would ask you to leave." Shocked, I replied that I could pack up our food and leave. He responded, "Oh no, I just need to inform you of the process," and pointed to a small sign on the table--which did not explain or indicate that we had done anything wrong. The food was mediocre at best, and the service was outright hostile. Between the confusion, the attitude, and the lack of basic customer service, this will absolutely be our first and last visit. If you enjoy being talked down to and treated like an inconvenience, this might be the place for you. read more

I was really excited to try Vicious Biscuit, but unfortunately our experience left a bad first impression. When we arrived, it was extremely busy, and the process is that you wait in line first, place your order, and then get a table once you have your number. Since I'm pregnant and had my toddler with me, I decided it would be easier to sit down first while my husband waited in line and ordered for us. An employee came over and told me I couldn't sit at a table until we had a number. I understand that may be the policy, and I later realized there may have been a sign about it, but I genuinely didn't see it. What made the situation frustrating was that I had noticed the table right next to me had done the exact same thing, the wife had been sitting there waiting while her husband ordered. When I mentioned this, I was told they had a number now, even though she had also been sitting there beforehand without a number for a good while. I was then asked to leave the table and wait at the bar with my toddler until my husband got our number. While I understand rules are rules, the way I was singled out and asked to move, especially while pregnant and managing a toddler, felt unnecessary and honestly pretty embarrassing. Another family nearby with their child witnessed the whole interaction and even commented that they were leaving because of how it was handled. We ended up seeing them at another restaurant we decided to go to, due to this incident. At that point, I told my husband we should just go somewhere else, and we left. I completely respect restaurant policies, but customer service and how those policies are enforced matter just as much. My husband had the Nashville Hot Chicken. It had the perfect amount of spice, not overwhelming at all. The biscuits were fluffy, buttery, perfectly cooked, and simply delicious. One of my favorite touches was the jam bar. With all the different types of butters and jams, it was easy to try different combinations and enhance the flavor of the biscuits. We also shared a round of shrimp and grits at the table and it was amazing. Even though the restaurant has only been open six days, it ran like a well-oiled machine. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure every guest had everything they needed. This place is very popular and can get packed, but you will have no problem finding a place to sit. It is absolutely worth the visit. Hands-down, a five-star recommendation. I tried Vicious before the grand opening and while the biscuits (which are their thing) were pretty solid, everything else was underwhelming. We were welcomed upon entering and staff seemed great. It's a take your order number to your table kind of joint so we didn't have a designated server. It did take quite a long time (almost 30 minutes) for our order to come out but when the food arrived it was hot so at least there's that. Eggs and bacon were okay but the biscuits were really the star. They also have a butter/jam bar with various options. I would definitely give them another try but probably just get a biscuit versus a full brunch. I was hoping this would be better. First, they have no prices on the menu and it's kind of wierd. You step up to the counter to order. If you've been there and know what you want, it's fine, but it's awkward for first timers. My cafe Mochiatto was not good. I couldn't get past the first few sips. I had the vicious biscuit, which was pretty good, chicken was cooked well and flavorful. I would have rather had more gravy and less jalapeños. My beignets were OK. I didn't need the chocolate inside. The strawberries and jam were fine. I liked the butter and jam bar, but there wasn't a saucer or small cups so I had to use a paper coffee cup so everything was mixed. The only concern I have is the wait to order the food. 1 cashier and 2 cash registers- the second has not been used - when I have been there. The line to take an order is long and seems to take too long. Especially for a lunch break. Maybe the other staff can help people decide or suggest menu items. Checked it out on new years day. There was a line but moved decently quick. Customer service was friendly, happy, and not frantic. The biscuits were large and they have a jam bar with different jams and butters. Drip coffee is self serve and basic. The food was good and large portions. We got the chicken plate, shrimp and grits, and huevos ranchers. All were tasty. The only thing I would change next time is to get my biscuit on the side of shrimp and grits. Since I couldn't finish it all I would have taken the the biscuit part home. It was a little messy in there, especially around the coffee area. Drove an hour to try their gluten-free biscuits that we've heard a lot about. Upon arriving, people were lined up out the door which is a good sign. One of the employees kept coming out to welcome people and tell us how long the wait was. The inside is very nicely decorated and welcoming. Once we ordered (about 35 minutes of being in line), they then tell us that they are out of gluten-free biscuits and that it would be an hour wait for those. They should have told us that upon arrival or when they kept coming outside. We decided to order some to-go telling them an hour would be fine. The food was amazing when they brought it out and somehow they did get one GF biscuit for my wife for her meal. After about 45 minutes after we ordered, they brought our to-go biscuits out and walked away. I decided to check them before we left and there were no GF biscuits just the regular ones. I talked to the manager and she said, it would be ANOTHER hour so they just substituted for us so we didn't have to wait. This new spot is a must try! I know we're in Indianapolis, but this place had me feeling like we were in the south with some family cooking. This place is brand new so it's completely spotless, without having an empty feeling to it. The staff is SO friendly and helpful, you can tell they actually like working there. And now .. the food.
