I rang up for some information about booking in my now almost not a kitten to be spayed. Yes, unfortunate I know. This being my first kitten (and definitely not my last) my knowledge on this area was a little vague and I wanted to know more. I have plenty of friends and family who had explained it but I wanted it from the horse's mouth (pun definitely intended!). So! The friendly nurse receptionist listened to my request for more information carefully and gave a very thorough response. She told me everything I needed to know and told me it would be best to bring in the kitten for a check up (free) to see if she was old enough and ready for the operation. I brought Eli along to the surgery and she was very well behaved around the 3 huge dogs who just wanted to play! When were called in to see the vet, she was very friendly, lovely attitude and ever so careful with Eli. She gave her a thorough check and made sure to give me details about the best time to book her in. I booked Eli in for the operation and they gave me a leaflet of information to explain everything that would happen. I left feeling very happy with my experience and confident about the procedure. Eli seemed very happy too :)

Our pet rat had a stroke during the night and it was obvious he was suffering and in need of euthanasia. We tried phoning all of the numbers provided online with no reply so we decided just to drive down to see if we could wait for someone to see us (I would have been happy to wait all day just to get him seen.) My partner and I waited at the seemingly empty reception desk for 10 minutes before my boyfriend discovered that there was actually an elderly man asleep behind the counter. He woke up and came over to us, barely coherent and smelling of stale alcohol and told us we needed to phone. We advised him we had phoned two numbers with no response and were out of credit. I was crying by this point, and i advised him we'd be more than happy to wait as long as we could, he just needs to be seen. He mumbled incoherently again and just shoved a mobile number at us. I would have happily accepted them being too busy to see us today, but the way we were treated was so upsetting. We luckily managed to get some money from a friend to have him seen at a private vet and he is now luckily at peace. I'm just shocked an appalled at the lack of basic service and compassion we received. The RSPCA is generally a fantastic organisation and i still support them 100%, however I'd strongly discourage any pet owner from bringing their pet here in an emergency.

(She is nine). In fact my usual vet wouldn't see me when I said I couldn't afford their costs. She is now on 3 kinds of tablets twice a day and running around like a puppy. All the staff I encountered at this hospital where very helpful, pleasant and kind. I highly recommend this hospital and I am extremely grateful for saving my dogs life.

I was very grateful for the animal medical centre being open on newyears day after my fourteen year old cat took a turn for the worse after being diagnosed with a brain tumor a few weeks earlier I saw a young spanish caring vet who did the job of having euthanizing my beautiful cindy. if this vets had not been opened my cat would of suffered all night! These caring vets gave up their hoilday to treat sick animals. THANKYOU so much for being open on newyears day and putting my cat out of her painfull body..

When I took my ill animal, I was shocked to see that this so called doctor was taking instructions from a senior doctor over the phone. They are not animal lovers, all they are interested in is money. I had my pet vaccinated, at night he was not feeling well. I called them if I could bring my pet to them to check as he was unwell after their vaccination. I was shocked to hear that I had to pay £90 for visit. I said it was after your vaccination and you have an obligation to see my pet. Answer was if medicine did not suit him you can complain to the company who made this vaccination but still you will have to pay £90 for revisit. Extortionist, they should not be in this profession.

The staff are beyond amazing, they are professional, loving, caring, compassionate and really CARE ABOUT THE ANIMALS. They offer a huge amount of testing facilities and have a large hospital based in Leigh Lancs. You are kept informed at every stage. This has a family feel to it. They really do care. These are without any doubt hte best vets I have ever used. I cannot recommend them highly enough. At this point I felt mild frustration at the wasted journey when, in my view, I should have been told such a test didn't exist when I booked the appointment. Could the receptionist not have checked with the vet beforehand? But then to be presented with a £25 consultation fee for the 5 minutes I was in there being told that what I'd booked in for wasn't available left me feeling this surgery is more interested in profiteering than customer satisfaction or providing value for money. Very disappointing

0 Stars, if I could!!!…read more Unfortunately (and I HATE writing bad reviews!)...I would not recommend this pet surgery. I gave it a try for the very first time, but after my experience, I do not trust the vet and receptionists. This is not a place where I want my dog to be examined, and I don't even want to go into details about what exactly happened (I don't want to get angry again)...I can only say: find another vet. Just a little glimpse (not the whole point of view): They were not able to take blood from my dog - he felt completely unwell at that practice (he's almost 12 years old and does not behave like that normally...)....but he felt the vibes...(animals have amazing instincts!)...I had to help them to take the blood and give instructions on what to do and motivate them to push through to finally get the blood (after putting already 3 times the needle inside my dog...and how to push the vein...I could not believe it! My fiancé witnessed everything...) Let's not talk about the communication before the appointment, the miscommunication when it came to the overpriced bill, the non-knowledge about Shiba Inu behaviour, and the discrimination I felt! I received the lab result (thank you for that) and definitely will find another practice. I'm also aware that this review can be removed, and the practice could comment in a defensive way (so the responsibility is taken away, instead of accepting the feedback and growing, and simply apologising.) And I am also aware that I cannot comment on the comment the practice will add to this review. I do not care anymore...I just want to share this review for the love of other pets...and maybe the practice can grow and learn. God bless
