It became important in more recent times to show the veterans our appreciation for their heroism and patriotism. Thank you for all military personal for keeping us all safe and free! In the last two decades the United States has entered into this conflict, disagreement over what happening all over the globe. We seem to ride in on our steel birds to the rescue. It's the least we can do! Right. Personal freedom and experiences we have our ladies and gentlemen of all of the armed forces to thank. Not only in our great nation, but we have become the champions for those that get bullied or stepped over by some faction trying to take their rights away in far off lands all over the globe. When our soldiers have come home in the past and present it is organizations in the community that give them support. As a military wife for many years and daughter to a military family it's an unusual upbringing with lots of moving. You never know where you will be from one year to the next. After having the twins, and through some protest to my husband it was time for him to settle down and leave the military. I learned that you never leave the military, for the men that you fight along side become brothers in the real sense. After the death of my husband two years ago, who was there for the twins and I. The brothers that my beloved knew. Individuals I did not even know were comforting me in my time of loss. God bless each one of them. It seems these days that vets get a bad rap. They come home from seeing such atrocities all over the world; and it's hard to process these things. In America many seem to walk around with blinders on and don't realize it. That homeless man that seems broken, talking to himself after fighting for our nation is at his lowest. He's talking to himself and could even be violent. See the rage and hate for life from his point of view. Can you see the image? Boys just landing fresh out of boot camp, wanting to fight that fight for freedom. They grab that gun and go to armed car. Time to go get the bad guys. Some of our troops have taken lives more than once. Then they come home, no more guns now let's replace the gun with a cell phone. Time to start life again, many of the soldiers come back to families and children they have not even met. It's hard for them to cope. Families break up because of unlivable conditions and here comes the cycle. That homeless vet that we all have seen. Don't fear him or her? Let's do something about it. We need to help our own. Give vets a chance to live. After the loss of my husband, I did not want to continue on with life. Life was meaningless. During my college days, I wanted to do something to change life for the veteran. This organization and ones like it are the answers. There is not enough of them. We all have the be the voice for those that need our help. Let's bring about social change and justice for a simple and healthy way of life for those that have given their souls. This year's theme "Viva Las Vegas" was an ode to the appreciation of Las Vegas and to recognize the 60th anniversary of Elvis Presley and Ann-Margaret's movie Viva Las Vegas filmed on UNLV's campus. After seeing the event's kickoff speeches by UNLV's President Whitfield and Dean Uscher, we saw performances by Elvis and Ann-Margaret at the Barrick Museum of Art, we explored the school's art galleries and exhibits and walked along the malls to see live music, dance performances, film demonstrations, and theater events. We took part in an interactive exhibit from the Film Dept where their cinematographers demonstrated how a static vehicle can be made like it is moving. We saw ukulele group performing, belly dancers, light saber duelists, singers and pianists perform. Along the mall and in the exhibit buildings, there were "All You Can Taste" food tastings from favorite local restaurants, wine tastings and a beer garden. A great free event to celebrate the art and culture of Las Vegas. I hope to be back for the 8th Annual Art Walk.

During our consultation, she told me I was to expect approximately $30,000 in back pay, which influenced my decision to move forward with their fee structure and contract. However, once my rating increased from 90% to 100%, communication from Sara ceased entirely. Despite multiple emails and voicemails, I received no response, which was disheartening. Unfortunately, the VA confirmed that NO back pay was due when I called. While I am grateful for the 100% rating, I face a $7,500 invoice without the anticipated back pay to cover it. As an unemployed student on a fixed income, this lack of transparency regarding potential outcomes has created a significant financial hardship. I have no money coming from the VA, BESIDES my EARNED benefits. I would advise other Veterans to verify back pay estimates independently before committing to high service fees. Check the paperwork. A scam is all I can say, and STILL NOBODY past billing has reached out to me! The company I worked with before VBG always had back pay coming to me. So this is honestly a slap in the face. I should only have to pay $1500, since THAT WAS THE ONLY BACKPAY I GOT! Due to Sara's fuck up, I will be coming to the office to speak to a manager because I'm overall PISSED at this outcome!
