I used the mobile Vetco clinic last night at this location for puppy vaccinations. I was extremely impressed with the knowledge of staff. The vet was so friendly and explained everything in detail. All staff were so friendly and caring and fast! I was in and out within 20/30 mins. Even the cashier was so friendly and kind! This was Great experience, inexpensive and I will be using Vetco in the future! read more

They scheduled the follow up booster appointment and when I get there it with cat in the box they tell me 18 days is too soon for the booster and it must be exactly 21-28 days. Why schedule us for 18 days if they are going to turn me away when I get there? At $200+ I may as well go to a real vet. read more

The veterinarians at 98th and Northern are absolutely wonderful but those little vet techs are rude and need to work on their customer service skills. The little girl today told me I would be charged extra for a service that I've paid for in advance because I was a week late bringing my dog in for his 3rd round of shots. She said, "You'll be charged extra because You. Are. Late.". She's very fortunate my mother raised me right. read more

we scheduled an appt 2 weeks out, confirmed by text, we received a text the morning of the appt, they had cancelled. we rescheduled, for a different location. 2 hours prior to the appt, we received a cancellation text with a 20% off our next visit....uh, thanks but no thanks!! our time is just as valuable as vetcos. we will NEVER book another appt with them and to try to reach a cs manager, forget about it. I had taken both of my dogs in today to get their rabies and parvo vaccines, and didn't realize that it would be literally in the middle of the store. My dog was obviously stressed and anxious. She is a big dog and isn't fully trained but I thought it would be okay since it was just a quick appointment for her boosters. Of course she's barking the whole time and when it comes to our turn to get shots, they ask to muzzle her which is fine. But one of the assistants is very rude to us the whole time, complaining about the barking and just furthering my anxiety as well. She wouldn't let me near my dog either which was frustrating because that causes more anxiety for her. Before they even try to give her the shots, the blonde assistant that had been rude the entire time is telling everyone "no, it's fine let's not do it". Which would be fine, I understand her being stressed due to the circumstances, but they did not even try. This was literally the worst experience I've ever had with a vet clinic and I will never recommend them. If you have a large dog with anxiety, they won't accommodate you! I will not be returning! read more

If I could give no stars I would! I am highly disappointed with how my dogs vaccine appointment went today (12.30.23). They don't know how to handle bigger dogs, they corner the dog to take Temps, they rush giving the shots and that also makes the dogs even more nervous. When you ask the Vet a question she gets very defensive and tells you to go to a vets office next time cuz they don't like to handle dogs that make them struggle. Dogs read off of everyone's energy - if your vet or the tech is scared of big dogs yes they are going to react.. I'll never take any of my dogs back to a vetco clinic. The Vet today was named Dr.Wong also... if you love your pets please avoid this clinic & Dr. I've worked at dog daycares and vets office and the way they treated/handled my dog would have not gone down at any dog place I have worked! Absolutely the worst. Got turned way 3 times due to misinformation from their staff. You would think if they all work for the same company, the message should be consistent. I was able to get my new puppy's first set of shots on april 2nd. I scheduled another visit for her second set for April 23rd because their website said shots can be administered 2-4 weeks after the last vaccination. I was turned away and told to bring her back in the 30th. Unfortunately she developed a UTI and was put on medication but no where on their website does it say they will not vaccinate dogs on medication. So we got turned away again when we went back on 4/30 when we disclosed she was on the medication and would be finished on Friday. The vet techs said bring her back Saturday 5/4. We did and were turned away again, this time they said she needed to be off the medication for a week or two. I am beyond upset at this company and will not use them again. I do not recommend this shot clinic to anyone. I understand you need to look out for the safety of the animals but the misinformation we received multiple times proves they are not a trustworthy company. read more

I was just at the vaccine clinic to check in, 11/3/2018 in Sturtevant Wisconsin Petco. The girl was VERY rude. I was second and she told me to go down an isle which I did. I explained I was disabled and could not walk and forgot my cell. ONE puppy was before me. I saw that puppy check out so I went back and she not only told me to keep walking once but did it TWICE!!! 5 other dogs went before me when I was second. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THAT STORE AGAIN and if I could, I would give it a -5 star rating. P.S. Came home and found I was alerted to be next long before she told me to keep walking. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! read more

Every 4 years we have taken our dog to Petco on Fridays to get their Rabies vaccination shots performed by VETCO. Last Friday, we attempted to get serviced while at the 6090 W Behrend Dr. Petco. Upon walking in the Petco staff informed us that the staff if running late. We were second in line. About 30 min later, the Petco staff informed us that the VETCO staff was finally coming and it would be another 45 minutes but that for our wait, Petco will give us discounts. The VETCO staff arrived ONE HOUR and 20 MINUTES late. At this time, some of the dog owners left and there were only 10 of us in line. As soon as VETCO arrived one person asked who had appts. There were 4 who had appts. We were walk ins so offered to let appts go first. But the VETCO staff ignored us. When we asked if we were able to get service they refused. NO walk ins allowed! One person kept telling us "Bye Bye", when we asked why. She would repeat BYE BYE which was condescending ESPECIALLY after them being SO LATE. My husband has refused to use VETCO EVER again. I even called the VETCO customer service when we got home and complained and gave them my name and phone # but one week later, no one has replied to offer any compensation or apology. So, we are paying a Vet walk in fee of $50 plus $25 for rabies as the $19 VETCO fee is NOT worth this service. read more

Wow... just wow. Apparently these people think they know more about your dog and what's good for it (from a behavioral perspective) than you do. On my first visit they misspelled my dogs name despite spelling it no less than three times, and they put her breed down as Husky, when I clearly stated that I know for sure her mom was a Cattle Dog, and husky was a guess for the father due to appearance and behavior. But because she looks more husky they put down husky. That's offensive! But it actually gets worse! Today I came back for a booster. This time they decided they were going to muzzle my dog, last time they did not. Okay, despite the fact that I am absolutely not okay with that, I understand they need to be safe. Here's the thing though, I offered to hold my pup for them because I know for a fact she will do better if I do it. She's not keen on new people and she's extra not keen on being touched by them much less restrained. If they had let me hold her (spent most of my adult life working with dogs) there would have been no need for a muzzle and she would have been much less difficult to give a shot to. But again, I get that they don't know how long I've worked with dogs (I actually told them) so they want to be safe. Here's my favorite part. As my dog is struggling to escape from the vet, another lady comes up and starts repeating "it's okay, it's okay" so I politely told her that she was in fact reaffirming my dogs fear, and to please stop saying that to my dog. At this point it absolutely doesn't matter if this lady agrees with me or not. I specifically asked her to stop talking to my dog like that. Literally one second after I said that (clearly) she keeps on repeating it. So I was like "I literally just said to stop that!" And still, this lady kept repeating it. If I could curse and not have my review deleted, I would use many colorful expletives to describe my feelings about this lady. You can fill in those blanks. She's my dog, I'm the one that rehabilitated her from where she was a year ago (it was a lot of work) and if I tell you to not say specific things to my dog, you need to listen. Anyone for that matter! If you're asked to not speak to a dog in a certain way, you NEED to listen to the owner. Unless it will actually harm the Dog. And in this case, there would have been zero harm. The only harm done was that neonate assuring my dog that being afraid is a praise worthy, and reinforcing her fear. and I'll say it one more time. Even if they think I'm crazy for asking them to stop saying that to my dog, they need to listen. read more

Went to a mobile clinic to get my 3 dogs heartworm tests. All came back negative, but in order to fill a heart-guard prescription from an online retailer it took 3 calls and over an hour on the phone to get it taken care of. The level of ineptitude was astonishing. The issue was that they needed "3rd party approval" to release info to the prescription to the online retailer, and that it would take 24-48 hours... WHY? You just looked me up on a computer why is this not instantaneous? Not sure why it took 3 phone calls to get this done, but it did. Rediculous. read more

I'm writing this review about the "puppy packages" and vet services offered at the Petco and Vetco mobile Clinics. These are a waste of time and money although they seem cheap at the time. Once you start going there, they expect you to use them for life. If you do not, they will not provide records or prescription refills unless you keep going back to them. Example: My puppy, Max, came with a "puppy package" purchased by the breeder when he was born which includes all shots and tests a puppy needs. There is no appointments, it is first come first serve. No matter how early you arrive, there is a line stretching into forever. If you go to a mobile clinic, you are standing in a parking lot for hours in a very long line of barking, snapping, howling miserable dogs, most with owners that think that when their out-of-control canine sticks his nose in your crotch and humps your leg that it is "cute". God forbid you say anything, they get angry and argumentative..how dare you insult their "baby"! Others have aggressive animals that are barely controlled and are not muzzled that terrorize you & your dog the entire time. Meanwhile the line crawls along at a snails pace. If you go to the store, the line will wend throughout the store and contain the same types of customers and dogs. I am handicapped and after waiting for over an hour and being nowhere near getting to the front finally gave up and went home. I went back the following week and it was the same, I asked the girls that run the clinic if this was normal and they replied that it was. Fortunately, when I explained that I could not physically stand in a line for hours, they took pity on me and allowed me to sit down and wait at the front until it was my turn. THREE HOURS later, we were finally seen. My dog was totally freaked out by then and a young girl whipped him out of his carrier, stuck a needle in his butt and pushed him back into his carrier. I was provided with a carbon copy of a form with illegible scrawling as "proof" of the services my dog was provided with (boxes were checked off that didn't apply and they didn't even get his name or DOB correct). When I called their records facility to get a clear copy, one that my vet could actually read, they wanted $25! Whenever I had to go back (the puppy pack is three months of testing and shots) it was the same. I started to believe that I was in the tenth circle of hell it was so bad. You can't ask any questions and are hustled out as the crowd starts to get angry and restless if you hold them up. After I finished the three months, I took him to a regular vet for services. A year later, I received a refill reminder card for his heartworm medication from Vetco advising to go to their website and order his medication. I placed the order and when I received no medication and no email within two weeks I called customer service. The automated line said my order had been cancelled so I spoke with a CSR who advised that "they had just taken over the online prescription filling and didn't know why the refill had been rejected by Vetco". I then called Vetco and they said that their "new" policy was that all animals had to have a full physical in order to get a refill on medications. Originally, I had been told that as long as my animal was continuously on the medication and I ordered it from Vetco no future testing would be required. Just another scheme to make more money! I called my regular vet and he gladly refilled the prescription for 25$ LESS than Vetco's "pharmacy" (which was supposed to be cheaper!) and with no exam or testing needed as my vet said it was not necessary. Please don't waste your time or money hooking up with these people, they are understaffed, poorly trained and just interested in making money..not your pets health or well being. read more

I have been going to Petco for several years now. The Vetco Mobile Clinic is unbelievably slow. The lines take forever. I have decided to not waste my time anymore and go somewhere else. To try to get your prescription filled somewhere other than Vetco is another waste of time. It took me 5 phone calls!!!!!!!!!!!!! If there medicines weren't so expensive it would be worth filling it from them. read more
