I must admit that I have been really disappointed with my last 2200 CAD order. Before leaving to Mexico on Dec. 12, I had agreed with the customer service to ship the order on January 23, so that I can begin my seedlings on time on January 27, date I was back from Mexico. Nobody followed up and I assumed I would receive the package maybe on January 28, but no. So I decided to call the customer service and I have been assured it would be shipped the same day, on Jan. 28. Yesterday, I decided to follow up on the order and I have been told there was a problem with my credit card. We fixed the problem and have been confirmed that it would be shipped on Feb. 2 (yesterday). I had not been informed anyhow when I called the week before. Today, I just received an email confirming the shipping was confirmed (Feb 3). I still dson't know if it's been shipped through express post, even though I asked that it be the case. If not, I am expecting getting the seeds on Friday or maybe next week. If I receive the seeds on Feb. 9, I will be 17 days behind my schedule. As a professionnal grower, it's a big issue, since I have to craft tomatoes that will grow in my greenhouses. I will lose 2 weeks of production at a critical moment of the season. I asked for a compensation since I will lose about 7-10 days of production and they only offered me to refund the 24 CAD shipping costs. Yup. Terrible customer support. They charged me six dollars for 20 marigold seeds and only sent 19. When I questioned them about it, they simply said that's what you get with machine counted seeds. read more

Veseys Canada knowingly and willingly sells seeds and bulbs of non-native and INVASIVE plants. Do not buy from them!

BEWARE!!!! If ordering bulbs from Vesey's!! All the tulip bulbs I received had TULIP FIRE fungal on them which would have spread in my garden to all my healthy tulips!!! the only way to deal with TULIP FIRE is to dig up the bulb and foliage and throw out!!! NO CURE ONLY SPREADS I had concerns about my order and gave them a call and told them about it they confirmed it was TULIP FIRE which is crazy that they know the issue and still are selling this product to unknowing consumers. I have been issued a full refund for good reason and will never shop with Vesey's again BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!!! read more

I began ordering from Veseys about 20 years ago and they were excellent both in quality products and customer service. They began going downhill about 4 years ago and are now at rock bottom. My last bulb order was a waste of money, the wrong bulbs or defective bulbs, either dried out, undersized or moldy. read more

Vesey's is a Canadian company that provides seeds, bulbs, plants and some garden supplies. They have a wide selection; if you want it or need it to plant in your garden, they probably either have it or have something similar. I've been buying from them for years. I've repeatedly asked them not to send me catalogues, but every time that I place an order I end up back on the mailing list. This year we hit a bit of a bobble. This is the first time that I purchased live plants, not seeds. I had a promo code for free shipping, but it didn't work when I added it while placing the order. Weeks later, I still hadn't received my order, nor any notification as to when the package would arrive. I wrote to them, told them about the promo code issues, and asked whether I would be notified when my order shipped i.e. before the package arrived. I received an email stating that they had issued a credit for the shipping costs. I wanted a refund, not a credit. The same email confirmed that I would receive a notification when the items shipped. See if you can figure out where this is going. Several weeks later a box showed up on my doorstep. The problem is that I wasn't home, so the plants were left there. I haven't had good results with these plants, possibly because they weren't planted promptly. I would still use Vesey's but would hope that they might make put more of an effort into alerting customers at the time that the order is placed that it might be weeks before it is shipped, and notifying customers in advance of the anticipated delivery date. read more

Have bought from this company for a couple of years. No issues with seed quality, but policies and service are dead awful. This year I ordered seeds, an order which came with a hefty $13.95 S&H. Some of the seeds showed up, in a letter rate envelope that cost about $4 in postage. Some good time later I was advised by e-mail that a three variety tomato pack was back-ordered. I phoned and discovered that most of the constituent varieties were still in stock. Substitution was verbally agreed, and I waited for my seeds - and waited. Today I phoned again - turns out they were never mailed, apparently waiting for another back-order. Now it's well past any reasonable date to start those seeds (in my greenhouse). So, the seeds are a waste of money, as well as a great aggravation. Enough for me - on to someone else next year. These guys need to get their act together. read more

This is my second year ordering from Veseys. In Feb./21, I placed an order for some seeds and also for 3 Haskap Berry Bushes (all items were in stock at the time of my order). Unfortunately Veseys didn't mail the seeds until May, so it was too late in the season to plant them indoors - so a waste of money. Of the 3 Haskap Berry bushes that Veseys sent to me, all 3 had already broken dormancy (they had already started growing leaves). One (1) of the Haskap buses was actually in good condition (well developed stem), and it is doing well in my garden. The other 2 Haskap Berry bushes were so spindly, fragile and under-developed (the stems were half the diamater of a toothpick), that both of the bushes died - they were too underdeveloped and fragile to survive transplanting. So... another waste of money. I e-mailed Veseys to tell them about the condition of the bushes they sent. I received an automated acknowledgement from Veseys confirming that they had received my e-mail, but they never followed up .... no one from Veseys contacted me, so looks like I won't be receiving a refund. Very disappointed in this company. Wish I had read the reviews before I placed a $300 seed order almost a month ago....that still has not even shipped!! Some of the items need to be planted soon and now local suppliers are becoming sold out of the seeds I was needing...a situation I thought I could avoid by placing my order online in January. I emailed the company a few weeks ago...no reply. I called almost 2 weeks ago and asked them to ship whatever of my order they had in stock....still has not shipped. This will be the last time I order from this company...and from reading reviews I'm not the only unsatisfied customer. read more

DO NOT buy your seeds from this company. I had two orders placed within a week of each other. 3 months later I am still waiting for one order. I spoken to customer service 3 times. I found out a month ago that they didn't ship the order as they were waiting for some seeds to come in. They did not contact me to let me know. I asked them to refund me for the non existent seeds and to ship the rest of the order. A month has gone by. I still have no seeds and no refund. I contacted them again and have been told that the seeds are being shipped and they will expedite my refund. We shall see. I don't believe them. They are not well organized. Won't be back. read more

Ordered on April 28 (first order as a new customer, and for 2 items), website indicated that items were available, got order confirmation on May 2nd, sent email requesting an order status update on May 21 (never got a reply). Received two emails indicating that neither ordered item as available on May 27. This was a waste of my time, and I missed the opportunity to buy locally due to inadequate customer service. Would not recommend this as an on-line ordering platform that is in any way customer friendly, and lacking in customer service and support. read more

They sell stringy sickly plants that don't survive and then have a no refund policy. I bought two grapevines, four blueberries, and two sugar maples. The grapevines were dead when they arrived and never grew anything, the blueberry plants were stringing and sickly and only one survived, and same with the maple trees, they sold me one dead one and then won't refund my money. what they advertise in their catalogue is not what you get. bunch of scam artists in my opinion!! read more

I placed an order in March of this year (2020) and about 2 weeks later, I received an email stating they could not charge a bank debit card from the US so I asked them to cancel my order. Fast forward 2 months later, this month (June) out of the blue, they just charged the very card they told me they couldn't. When I called asking why 2 months later this would happen, they had no explanation. I did not receive our seeds either! I requested a refund and am now still waiting 3 weeks later, I have called over 4 times and am told over and over again they will refund my card but have not. I am extremely frustrated by a company that first states they can't accept my money and then just charges the card they refused months later, seems like fraud so I reported it to my bank. I highly do not recommend working with them, they are rude on the phone too. I ended up buying some amazing seeds from True Leaf Market and even with Covid 19 going on, they shipped out 1 week after my order. read more
