Communication: I received an email at 9:19 saying one of my appointments was canceled, but not…read morespecifying which (I was scheduled for a 10:00 massage and an 11:45 facial). No one answered the phone at the clinic (in fact the voicemail message said there was no receptionist, and referred me back to the website), so I left for my first appointment not knowing if it was canceled or not. I arrived about five minutes late, due to the time spent trying to reach someone about the cancellation message. Despite this being the spa's communication error, the massage therapist finished my session several minutes early, so I had about 50 minutes total on the table for a 60 minute session. -Treatment: the therapist used very fast strokes, often with his knuckles/fists, which I didn't find comfortable or therapeutic. When I asked if he could slow down he did so only slightly, and told me if his strokes were slower he wouldn't be able to give me a full body massage (this doesn't make sense to me, having had plenty of 60 minute full body massages with slow strokes). At some point I asked for lighter pressure in a sensitive area and he told me he was "already going light" and that I should just breathe. -product: the massage lotion was some kind of icy/hot or wintergreen which left my skin feeling chilly. I would enjoy this with a table warmer and well tucked in under covers, but neither was the case and I felt chilly through most of the session.

He stated that he doesn't do other peoples designs but would like to turn the one I gave him into his own style. I agreed and I sent him a deposit in good faith. I thought we were on the same page but when contacted him over a month ago to see his redesign, he didn't have one ready so we made an appointment for today. When I went into the shop, he and the other artists didn't even acknowledge me. I had to ask which one was the artists. Then, after making me wait another ten minutes for him to show me the redesign. And wow... He didn't even have the design done and it looked nothing like the original. I was shocked at the terrible design and then he proceeded to tell me that he never intended to work off the original and that I should find someone else if that's what I wanted. I asked for my deposit. He gave it to me and proceeded to tell me that I wasted his time... Wasted his time?!? He wasted my time! I could have already had the tattoo done had he just turned me down to start with.

You guys this place was fan-freaking-tastic!…read more My husband's family owns a beach condo in Celista. We go out there every summer and this is the first time we've ever been to the Quaaout Lodge. It was my husband's birthday today and his parents treated us to a wonderful dinner. This is also the first time we have gone to a restaurant since Covid started, and their safety protocols made us feel very safe. The staff was all wearing masks, the tables were spaced out great, there was sanitizer stations all over the place, and when we arrived they even sanitized the chairs! The service was top notch. Our drinks and food both arrived promptly and we were all very impressed with everything. Everyone ordered the fish and chips but me, but I had a taste of my husband's and it was delicious. I had the Wedge Salad and it was hands down the best salad I've ever had (I highly recommend). I also recommend the Botanical Gin and Tonic The server overheard us mention that it was my husband's birthday and they offered him a free dessert (the best creme brule ever) complete with a candle. Overall we were all thoroughly impressed and will definitely be back next summer!

The lights in the washroom and at the bed for reading are nice and bright. It is so nice to have good lighting when using the washroom and reading in bed at night. The bin they have for recycling is nicely divided into 4 sections labeled paper, plastic, metal and glass. In the bedroom they have a hassock underneath the bedside table, this provides a great seat to be used when writing or making notes. You have a little mini desk.
