I went with family and took in rides with my grandson. Ate poutine which was just soso, a red candy apple that was better than I remembered and a smokie hot dog from Skinners that was very good. Also, had a coffee that was lukewarm. Although the day was interrupted by rain periodically we made the best of it. There was good attendance and we did not have to wait long to get on rides. The whole experience brought back many memories of past exhibitions I have attended. The day was cloudy and sunny at different times. I recommend the Red River Ex for anyone to get out for a fun experience and treat it as a special experience. Not cheap but who expects to be frugal on outings at a large ride and game experience like this. Depending on your group be prepared to spend $100-500 for the day and/or evening.

Its fun to bump into people even though your not supposed to. The bumper boats are so fun and they spray relatively quick and a lot in a short amount of time. The mini golf is expensive but very fun! Jack Potts used to be one of my top childhood places. But on Sept. 17, around 12 pm, me, my friend,…read moreand younger sibling received some of the worst customer service we have ever experienced. A counter lady, with dirty blonde hair and glasses, treated us really unfairly that day. When we asked her politely to assist us with the ticket receipt machine, she spoke to us in a mocking voice and made it clear she wanted to provoke us. She proceeded to make us wait for a very long time (and it wasn't even busy) before she gave us our receipts. When it was our turn to pick out our prizes, she especially gave us an attitude. Rolling her eyes, a bored tone, or a passive-aggressive one, pressuring us to be quicker, glaring, aggressive behavior such as bending our prizes, and slamming our prizes on the counter, etc. I am truly wondering what she wished to accomplish that day other than showing us what not to be like when we're older. It annoyed us the most when we noticed that she was super nice and polite to the other kids with their parents present. It upsets me that she will probably only get a slap on the wrist, or nothing at all for this; from similar reviews I have read for this place. On top of all of this, some games were broken and made us lose coins. Never coming back.

That being said...there were a couple of instances of parents attempting ti convince the park staff to allow them to let toddlers on rides alone or accompanied. Some people just can't figure out why the rules are in place...and are content to waste everyone's time while they argue fruitlessly with staff... But I digress... We had a blast! Prices are fair and lines are reasonable. Kids wore themselves out! We were there for about 5 hours. Only reall complaint us the complete lack of Tinkertown souvenirs. The shop is instead stocked with cheap toys and...Disney stuff? Who want's a frozen doll from Tinkertown? I guess their management knows what's best... I really wanted an "old fashioned" fridge magnet fir our collection! Lol Awe well.

My friend bought a wristband for herself and for the kids and they rode every ride they wanted to. The lady at the restaurant counter (August 13, 2019 @ 1:30pm) was fantastic! She chatted a bit with my friends daughter and really made her smile. The food was what you'd expect, not spectacular but the price was very reasonable. I am really glad that I didn't have to buy a wristband to get into the park (not a huge fan of rides, makes my stomach flip to much), watching my friends kids on the rides was great, they had close to 5 hours of fun. I even bought a ticket so I could ride the train, it was very cute and they smiled the whole time!!
