We was recommended this restaurant by our hotel which made us a table booking for a late arrival (9:30pm)
There was 3 seating areas. Inddoor, semi-outdoor (roof) and outdoor in the garden.
We had a table outside and most tables was occupied, so a pretty busy saturday night.
We ordered apperetifs and a tasty seasoned gazpacho tasting was served with.
Our first course was Salade Gourmande with 3 ways prepared duck arranged on a crispy and fresh mixed salat, small balls of mozzarella and a delicious mustard/vinegard dressing.
The foie gras was light and perfect. Not to creamy and fat. The gizzards pieces and the duck leg was tender and beautifully fried. The menu said duck wings but I prefere the meaty leg so the change was great.
The other first course was 6 pieces warm oysters in shell with parsley butter. Very tasty and fresh.
Maincourse we had Cassoulet de la maison with a tender duck confit, smoked garlic pork sausage and white beans, baked to perfection with delicat crust.
The other main course was skewer of scallops with smoked cream.
The scallops were delicious fried just 10 seconds from raw....so perfect. The cream was excellent and tasty with seafood.
The portion size was'nt big though for a maincourse (and compared to the big entrees sizes), so we had to share the Cassioulet (which was big enough for two people to share for maincourse).
We had a icecream soufflé to share for dessert. The waiter poured generously Grand Marnier over the dessert. Very tasty dessert.
Overall we had a great experience and delicious food. The service was good but we had to wait for a while to pay. We didnt saw a waiter for 15 min., so we left the table and search for the staff. We waited another 3-4 min.at the bar without contact, and when another table joined us also to paid, we start looking for the staff and found all of them gatered in the front area.
The atmosphere is relaxed and service/kitchen is fast for a fully saturday night.
I would have give them 4,5 star if halfstars was possible. read more
