Anna is just amazing in so many ways and I'm beyond grateful to have had her guidance throughout my pregnancy, during delivery and for sleep training my 4 month old. I read all the books she recommended during pregnancy but it was lovely to also just text her any random question I had. And she always responded with evidence based research and the most objective perspective she had. During delivery, we would have been lost without her, specially my husband ;) who just forgot everything we had practiced when my contractions started. My labor was ~36hrs and I didn't feel it like a marathon because Anna broke it down into manageable sprints and I had the natural birth I wanted, even though it was a complicated delivery. Lastly, she just helped us train our 4 month old to sleep by himself and it's been barely 5 days and it's already night and day. I was soooo scared of traumatizing my child but by now, I knew that I could do it with Anna's guidance. It ended up being super smooth and most importantly, my son is the happiest now and we are all better rested and don't need nighttime help!! Anna supported my home birth with my second child. As a birth worker myself, I'm pretty picky about who and how I am supported at such a vulnerable and monumental time and Anna was perfection. She was skilled with supporting my physical comfort during labor, she stepped in to help the midwifery team throughout the birth and after. Most of all, she was AMAZING with my 4 year old. We really wanted our first to witness her sibling be born but weren't sure how she would handle the scene. Anna had only met her once before the birth but was able to bond with her quickly and make her feel safe throughout the birth. I don't think I could possibly convey just how much Anna Lyke means to me and my family. The tldr here is there's nothing to talk about. If you have the opportunity to bring Anna on at any point in your child's life, do it. And if you need further convincing, I cried the whole time I wrote this. Anna was with us from the night we came home from the hospital to sleep training our son 4 months later. I have never come across anyone more knowledgeable (really cannot overstate just how knowledgeable), compassionate, or nonjudgmental. After a very scary and emotional delivery, Anna came into our home and took care of me and my newborn baby with such grace, compassion, and utter professionalism. In the first few weeks after our son was born, Anna was our absolute lifeline, not only making sure we all felt cared for and safe, but also teaching us everything we needed to know from how to feed and bathe our son to establishing early sleep and wake best practices. Though I had avidly researched every trimester, I was completely clueless about what to do when our son actually arrived. There wasn't a single moment where I didn't feel absolute confidence in Anna's instincts and methods, I trusted her so completely that I, an otherwise pretty type A person, told her to do whatever she thought was best across the board. I'm glad I did because we have such a calm and chill baby and I know we owe that to Anna's demeanor and how effectively she built our confidence and set us all up for success. Anna was incredibly flexible from day one and knew what my needs would be before I even realized myself, let alone voiced them. I firmly believe I wouldn't have breastfed for as long as I have if I didn't have Anna supporting me as I navigated learning how to. Before hiring Anna, I had concerns about someone we didn't know being in our space during such an emotional time. If that feels like you, I have two anecdotes: 1. My husband loves to tell the story about our first night without Anna after our son was born. In the haze of postpartum, I had forgotten what night it was, and I was certain Anna was coming that night. But when my husband said it would just be the two of us that evening, I went from totally content to inconsolable in an instant. 2. By the end of our time with Anna, we would ask her to come hours early, *especially* if our son was already asleep, just so we could hang and chat about our days (related and unrelated to the baby). Now, 2.5 months later, I miss Anna every day and text her constantly because I'm in denial about her having moved on. She continues to be such a resource to us as we navigate milestones and sleep/nap schedules. I cannot recommend Anna more! She is the BEST! My husband and I had twins seven months ago and we were gifted a postpartum doula. We reached out to Anna who came highly recommended by a friend. I'll admit, I was pretty apprehensive at first. I wasn't sure if I wanted a stranger in my house but as soon as I met her, that all changed, she put my mind at ease. It was immediately evident that she knew what she was doing, and she projects totally low-key positive vibes - exactly what we were looking for in a night doula. I fully trust her with my children, and it allowed us to get some much needed sleep. ­ We had Anna three nights a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday and we ended up dreading the weekend because that meant that we would be without her for two days in a row! The only reason I don't want to write this review is because I don't want Anna to get so busy that she won't be available by the time we have our second kid! As a new mom I was very overwhelmed by the plethora of information out there around all of the different techniques, courses, consultants, and subscriptions offered to help train a baby to sleep. After having a very bad experience with a sleep consultant we were desperately searching for someone else. Anna's name came to us through a friend of a friend and after working with her I understand why her name traveled. Not only is Anna incredibly knowledgable, but she is unbelievably reliable. She doesn't push a "one size fits all" approach, but instead is very sensitive to your babies needs and how best to work with them. We have felt so incredibly supported by her as we've been navigating the difficult terrain of getting our baby to sleep and I'm happy to say that since we have been working with Anna our baby has been sleeping so well through the night AND through her naps as well! As a first-time mom, I didn't know where to start to be ready for my labor and delivery. I didn't want to spend time and money on books, videos, blogs or online classes. I've decided to hire a doula to give us a crash course on everything we needed to know for the "D-Day" and to help as needed as we don't have family in town. We interviewed 5 doulas online and Anna immediately stood out as the "one". She had the most positive energy, was the most knowledgeable and the most flexible to our needs. I particularly appreciated the fact she gave us accessories for the labor (essential oils, etc..), told us what to buy and not to buy for the baby and referred to science and not old wives' tales to advise us on some medical decisions. She was extremely helpful to design my birth plan and was always available to answer any random questions. She didn't end up coming with us to the clinic as my delivery was extremely fast and I didn't even have time to labor at home (and doulas were not allowed at my hospital during covid) but she was in touch with us via phone. More importantly, she was there AFTER my delivery. Not all doulas are post-partum doulas and I found Anna instrumental to keep my sanity after birth. She was very helpful with the sleep regression and always full of resources. Although I didn't end up breastfeeding, I loved her lactation cookies that I finished in 1 day! I warmly recommend Anna to anyone who may need the extra support, want some peace of mind and a friendly hotline in case of any baby-related questions. I would definitively trust her with my son. I very enthusiastically recommend working with Anna! She joined us as a postpartum doula when our son was just a few weeks old and we learned so much from her. I'll be forever grateful that she made me a more confident parent, but mostly that she cared for our baby with so much love, thoughtfulness, and professionalism. Anna worked with us at night and I was so nervous about that at first -- what would it be like to have a stranger in our house all night when I was looking and feeling my worst and most anxious? And shouldn't I able to take care of my own baby at night?? Anna has been such a lifesaver and we feel so fortunate that she has come into our lives! I had an unplanned c-section and came home completely unable to help to take care of my baby in the way that I had envisioned. We reached out for help and Anna has been supporting us for the past 2.5 months. She is loving and kind with our baby and we trust her completely. On top of that, she has been such a huge help around the house and with my recovery. She is very knowledgeable, but anything she doesn't know she commits to researching, reaching out to contacts, and coming back to you with answers. Anna was our birth doula and she was fantastic. My wife had a very long labor and Anna stayed with us throughout the whole thing - nearly 48 hours. The counter pressure she applied to my wife as labor intensified greatly helped my wife deliver unmedicated. For me, the birth partner, she was incredibly helpful. By taking care of so much, she allowed me to just give my wife emotional support and be present for the birth of our girl. I seriously can't say enough positive things about Anna!! She has been with us since our daughter was just 3 months old and has been a superhero from the very beginning.
