My wife and I have respectively been with US Cellular for 5 years between the two of us. We have…read morehad excellent service in the past, but lately it has been frustrating. We recently moved almost 6 months ago and wanted to keep using them. The closest store to us is over an hour away. The drive is tough to make when we both work around 40 hours a week. So if we have to drive we expect help. We are considering going back to the bigger companies because of the convenience and locality. Hate to do that because their customer service seems to be lacking as well, but what are we supposed to do? Continue to hope it will get better? I am sure we are probably one of a slight few that feel this way, but as a manager at retail store chain, I do my hardest to keep customers happy and satisfied... We are not happy nor satisfied. I am planning on posting this on Yelp as well. Hopefully we will receive some resolution to our ongoing issue someday, sometime soon.

In 2018, We were moving from an apartment to a house which was only an 8 mile trip. I called and a representative came to our apartment for an assessment. We were in the middle of packing so items were not quite move ready. The gentleman asked me where I worked which was none of his business mind you, and in red flag territory, but I was focused on getting this move done, so I let that go. He also asked if the woman present ( my wife ) was my mother, yes another red flag that we chose to ignore. He stepped out of the apartment called the office I presume and came back with a quote which was a little high, and then left. But because we were in a serious time crunch, the company had favorable reviews, and I like to support local family owned businesses, I called and left a voicemail accepting the quote. I lost three valuable days waiting for a call back that never came. We called back but never spoke to a human. I don't know why we were ghosted, and it might be possible that the high quote was to scare us off instead being straight with us out of some concern that I could not pay them, or simply of telling us they were fully booked or maybe the the third floor apartment was a concern. But that is only speculation. I do hold out the possibility that perhaps something serous like a family emergency might be a factor, but I still should have received a callback. I eventually called another company (ATHENS which I already left a yelp review for), they moved us without issue and they got my money because I did have a job. They even picked up new appliances we purchased on the way to our new home. I hope my experience with Taylor is the exception and not the norm.
