    I guess Mystery Guest needs to be "Mystery Guested". I have been a Mystery shopper for about 5…read moreyears. I have always given observant, fair, and well written reports. My relationship with this business has been longstanding. Previously their follow up, communication and response has been incredibly professional and concise. Since I have been in a great relationship with this business I had no problem when they called me at 3:30PM for a visit that had to be done immediately I agreed to do it. I had to rush from the Design District to Doral and finish this observation by 5PM. I did and spent a good 20 minutes in this store doing what was expected of me. The confirmation email was not as detailed as before and it said that I had to have my report in "as soon as possible". Note the quotation, that was exactly their words. I am home by almost 7PM, get home, get dinner for the family, etc etc and figure my report can be done the next day, I wake up at 4:45AM for work and really needed to go to bed. Next afternoon (I don't get home until 5PM) I realized I had forgotten my password, asked for it but since they were closed had to wait until the next day. I got it and tried to write the report the day after (Wednesday) but its not on my scheduled visits. Again I contact them and they sent me a snippy email telling me that since I hadn't done what I was supposed to, which was get the report in by TUESDAY MORNING, they had to get someone else to do the visit. MIND YOU, you HAVE to spend money in the store for which you will be reimbursed for. I observed, I spent my money, I was getting my report in "as soon as possible" so I did what I had to. I even remember the assistant manager's name at the store, Angie. I pointed out that in the confirmation email this wasn't stated and asked if my trip was in vain and the item (this is a children's store... my kids are way too old for it) wouldn't be reimbursed. They again responded and this time with a very nasty email that there are guidelines that I agreed to yadda yadda and kindly sent me the attachments to which I had agreed to in 2005 or so. Before, their communication had been very precise, on the phone they would always tell me exactly when the report was due and a reminder in the email. "As soon as possible" doesn't mean "Tuesday morning". A free meal or cheap item isn't worth the responses I got. And by the way if you think you get cash for the lunches you are mistaken. They give you a coupon for a meal at the same spot. So imagine if the food and service are sub-par and you don't want to return. Hey then you are the sucker. If after years of good Mystery Shopping they are going to respond this way I guess my days of feeling useful doing this are over. They are not professional enough for me to bother with again. So lets recap... Business response to my service? HUGE FAIL See the thing is that MG you just failed your shopper. Thumbs down.
