Currently building a house with Ventura. I have so far, been given three possession dates and am still not in my new home. The foreman went on holidays for three weeks, leaving no work to be done, and the house stood untouched. Since that point the house has been behind schedule. Manitoba Hydro was blamed for the hold up the first time, the second is weight restrictions...both of which the builder should have anticipated considering how long they have been building in that area. If I myself hadn't contacted the foreman to ask about the upcoming possession dates, I would have not been informed in enough time to make arrangements for living. The company is not concerned with it's clients whatsoever. I am hoping once finally living in the house, it is of good quality, however thus far the process has been long, drawn out and frustrating. The customer does not come first, and the employees are great at talking a good game about how great the build will be, that they are customer friendly and flexible, and how often they are ahead of their possession dates, but then there is no follow through, little communication, and excuses of why things haven't worked out as expected. I would be wary of building with this company. read more
