After the first class, they were both so excited that we decided to purchase classes for a year (6 months is the longest term they had for the 4 y.o.) We have been going for about 2 months now and we LOVE K-Tiger! Our kids have mostly worked with Mr. Andrew and Mr. Colby (sp?). They have the patience of angels and their methods are highly effective. They really make the classes kid-friendly. Our 8 y.o. is very anxious, emotionally heightened, and shy by nature and takes a while to get comfortable in new environments. Last year, she played basketball and she was so anxious that she was in tears during the first four practices. Since starting Taekwondo at K-Tiger, her confidence has grown noticably. She just started soccer and went out there like a different person. She was making friends, having fun, and unafraid to learn new things. Our 4 y.o. is the polar opposite and has so much energy. He's also very young so we know it will take him longer but he's already showing signs of developing discipline. He is working hard and paying attention more and more in class. For example, if you don't take care of your belt and your stripes come off, you have to back to the first stripe. My kids are very serious about taking care of their equipment. (other reviews also mention the scarcity of adult supervision) - Movies and TV are left to mind the children, (which is fine in moderation, but my niece watched 2 netflix movies yesterday and the LSMA website says "no screentime") I did not want to leave this review - just wanted a partial refund for the 3 remaining days that we would not be sending our boys back (they already had our non-refundable registration fees), but the owner Mr Hodge (who would not give me his first name), was adamant that they don't do money back, and then hung up on me. Which makes sense, because this place is a racket.

They charged my credit card on file three times without authorization, even after I raised the issue following the second occurrence. At the time, my account was already paid in full and should have never been charged again. The gym offered a credit, which I accepted at the time since I planned to use it toward an out of town competition. I did use part of the credit to cover that expense but continue with $245.50 as credit. (imagine how much I charged/stolen) After deciding to leave the gym for personal reasons, I requested a refund for the remaining balance. Which I don't believe should be an issue since it was THEIR mistake. Despite assurances from the owner that the matter would be handled, it has now been over three months with no resolution. I was removed from the team's communication group (which I get since we are no longer in the team) and my follow-up emails have gone unanswered. This review is based on my personal experience, but I also know I am not the only parent still waiting on money owed. Thankfully, my card on file was a credit card, and I will be contacting my bank to dispute the charges and filing a complaint regarding the unauthorized transactions. To new customers, keep a close eye on your account and do not allow repeated "mistakes" to slide (there's always an excuse). Most importantly, do not accept "credit" in place of a refund. Credit is not real money! out of the gym, it becomes worthless.
