They sell old Portuguese silver and some very nice new pieces and other antiques including Portuguese tiles. But they also repair and restore silver pieces and silver plate. I have had several silver plate pieces (like picture frames and trays and also earrings) that were becoming a dirty grey and couldn't be cleaned with polish because the silver plate was wearing off. Gil&Carvalho replated them and made them look like new. They also sell a liquid called Partex for cleaning silver plate so it doesn't get worn off.
