Yummy food - the food is awesome and the prices are aligned for the quality you get. I came here twice and had the following: Breakfast: Açai Bowl - it had so much fruit and fresh ingredients! The mango was on point. + Green juice and it was delish, fresh and made to order! Early dinner: I had the Roasted Tomato soup and the presentation was pretty and it was unbelievably good, I also shared the Chicken Baguette and it was warm, fresh, and extremely tasty. I also had as desert with coffee and a banana bread. Which was amazing, great presentation and good quality of ingredients. The decor and atmosphere of the place are great for a family brunch, coffee with your friends, a quick meal by yourself, and even a working session. The place has a downstairs and an upstairs. I will totally come back here and recommend it 100%!

The waiter did not know a word of English, so be prepared to order and understand the menu in Spanish. When we told him we were American and could only speak a tiny bit of Spanish, he walked off and muttered what sounded to me and my girlfriend like "shit!"! He didn't seem to know how to respons to anything we said in Spanish. Oh well. The bread and chimichurri sauce were delicious. I ordered the burger, which didn't have any flavor, but seemed to have lentils and therefore protein in it, which was a good thing. The salad was tasty. I would recommend trying it out at night time. PS- the coffee was excellent and strong.

Delicious Healthy and Vegetarian Restaurant in Merida!…read more I visited Savia Vegana for lunch one afternoon during my stay in Merida this November. I loved the unique décor inside the restaurant. They serve a different menu of the day every day with soup, entree and fresh juice included. You get to choose between a few different options for the soup, main meal and juice. I ordered the garbanzo bean soup and vegetarian lettuce tacos, along with a Jamaica drink. Everything tasted absolutely delicious and fresh. I paid a total of 75 pesos for my complete meal, which was very inexpensive and a great value for what you get! The restaurant serves vegetarian/vegan dishes made from fresh and organic ingredients and healthy twists on traditional Mexican foods. The service was excellent and my server was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was really chill, relaxed and peaceful, which made for a very enjoyable dining experience. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a fresh and healthy meal in Merida. I cannot wait to return here next time I find myself in Merida!

They had an entire page of their menu full of vegetarian options-- with protein! We had the stuffed squash and eggplant meshe. Both were fabulous. Then we decided to have the crepe de cajeta for dessert. Another excellent choice! It seems like it is more popular for dinner than for lunch, but we still enjoyed our meal and had great service. Oh, and a high chair with a tray for our son-- an added bonus! One caveat-- I speak enough Spanish that I had no problem ordering and interacting with our server. Not sure if they have an English menu or staff who can speak English to explain menu items. If you aren't super comfortable ordering in Spanish, use a translator on their online website before you go just in case.
