I found the store welcoming and pleasant. It is one of the cleanest, prettiest, and well ordered grocery store I've entered. It is not as big as some of their competition, but what they do is done very well. I was offered help by more than one employee. They were friendly and helpful. Sprouts is known for offering more organic foods, allergen-free, gluten-free, and vegan options than other places. I have a family member that cannot eat gluten, so I was pleased to find her a gluten-free Dutch apple pie and some brownies she can eat for Thanksgiving. I don't have dietary restrictions- and found some delicious cookies for me, and scones for my wife. Sprouts has the most beautiful produce department I've seen. Everything looked super fresh. Their meat department offered cuts of meat, poultry, salmon and more... and they even had pre seasoned, grill-ready meats. The deli had some amazing food options, and fresh sandwiches made to order. Like most supermarkets, they have flour and the rest for baking, cereals, canned goods, etc. But what was unique is the selection, brands, the variety, and the healthy options. Their Spouts coffee section smelled heavenly. They have a good variety of coffee, both whole bean (which you can have ground right there) or already ground and packaged. Sprouts even has over-the-counter meds, hygiene and personal care products, and a small selection of floral bouquets. Another feature you don't see in most other places are bulk nuts, seeds, granolas, snacks, candies, dried fruit, and cereals sold by the pound. The prices run a tad higher than at other places, but what you get is quality and healthy options along with "designer" food brands and products. Take your own reusable bags, or be prepared to purchase reusable bags (cloth or plastic). You may still need to stop at another store to get everything on your list, but I can say the same thing about their larger competitors. It really is worth checking them out.

I forgot to ask them if they would be closing this store. I truly hope not! This way they will have two locations. Delightfully delicious!!! Purchased three juices: orange, grapefruit/orange blend and a beet juice with other vegetables. Enjoy the Heartbeet juice. Healthy and tastes good!

A McAllen local took me on a city tour, and Earth Born Market was the first on our morning start. Which was perfect because my body was craving a fresh, green juice. I walked away with a bottle of fresh RGV grapefruit juice, a green juice, honey sticks, and mango butter. Yes, mango butter. A few hours later, as I was with a friend and McAllen native (who lives down the street and had NO idea EBM existed), we dropped in so she could buy her kids some juice. Again, I walked away with some more juices for the next few days and a container of Texas pecans. They have a few sample stations - try the grapefruit juice, orange juice, tangerine juice, and orange-grapefruit blend. You can also try some of the fruit spreads. Oh, and they have grapefruit pies. Grapefruit pies. Cray, huh? Love that EBM is family owned and operated. A must see.
