My wife and I have been here a few times and found Dortoni to be delightfully delicious. Well, for the most part. On our first trip we tried a whole bunch of different baked goods (pastries, cookies, crumbs, cakes, etc.), though one thing we were excited about was their take on the Dubai chocolate sensation via the form of a cake. Unfortunately, it kind of missed the mark, but if you take that snafu aside, everything else at Dortoni is fantastic. For instance, my wife's new favorite dessert is their cheesecake waffle cone (which is exactly what it sounds like). For me, I loved the key lime bomb which was out of this world. There's just a great selection of stuff here that makes you curious as to what they'll have each time you enter. Beyond the baked goods, I will say the staff has been super friendly. Both visits they were helpful, gave suggestions, and (though it was close to closing) offered us some rolls free of charge. It doesn't take a lot to make you feel welcome and they do more than that which is nice to see. Perhaps you won't see what is nothing more than a few tables inside this small spot that you can sit at, but I wouldn't say this is a horrible turnoff. Yeah, maybe Dortoni isn't your bakery/cafe that's going to be a place you stay and enjoy your goods, but it's definitely worth some items to-go. Overall, Dortoni in Port Jeff earns a visit. There are other locations (perhaps even one closer to me) that I might have to check out, but even if I do, I'll at least know that the quality and service in PJ is top notch. I'd gladly return here in the future (and I probably will knowing my wife's new obsession) and you should too!

Here I found the lightest , and when I say that don't take that lightly, they are truly the lightest and the fluffiest donut I have ever found in my life. 100% I am a huge fan. It was their IG post inviting followers to come down and grab a free slice of their vintage meringue cake that made me come to their storefront realization. That aside, this cute little cookie shop specializing in macarons, cookies, tarts and cakes. Upon entering, it's got a very warm, welcoming vibe. The friendly owner was there creating a beautiful masterpiece and happy to chat answering my questions about their menu. Everything looked so beautiful. I was given my free slice of vintage meringue cake and I purchased two macarons. I got creme brûlée and white chocolate raspberry. They were both yummy. I'll be honest in that little treats are a bit pricey for my everyday budget, but I can see splurging for special occasions. I would also consider ordering a cake for a special occasion. The only thing that was fresh and delicious was the Rye with seeds. Great crust and soft, fresh bread. Everything is fresh every day…read more I've been coming here for many years and I've never been disappointed. This is one of those old-school bakeries that I hope never leaves this earth. They do things the way it used to be done back in the day. Cookie trays and pastries, always stocked and presented with precision and attention to detail. The staff will always make eye contact and greet you as you enter and are happy to assist. They have a few tables and chairs set up for people to pop in for a few minutes and enjoy their feel for Italy. They offer a self-serve coffee station set up, but if you really want next level, order yourself a latte.

The fam seemed to enjoy them as well. In all seriousness, this place has been here for a while, and there is a reason why they have stood through the test of time.
