We love Mi Ranchito!!! They have the best house margarita in town. Thin crispy restaurant style chips, yummy vegetable, packed salsa, Mexican, music, playing overhead, festive decor, delicious food and a friendly staff. You can't beat me Ranchitos prices and delicious portions. We love Mi Ranchito. It is a family staple.

The monstrous margarita tower.

Mi Ranchito now is called Vaqueros. I'm not sure what has occurred, but it is not for the better. Our service has always been good until now. I'm sure I sound like a crabby old person but first they sat us near a door that the staff uses to go outside and it was sleeting so we got a freezing blast every time the door openers. We asked to move and our waitress was very understanding and moved us. We ordered an appetizer and the chips that came were burned, which has never happened before. We didn't say anything but when other chips came, they were fine. We had a hard time getting the waitress's attention and the restaurant was not busy at all. I ordered the margarita flight, which I thought would be small glasses of each kind, but instead received a tower of margaritas. It was way too much for me to drink and I wished I had not ordered it. The food was okay- we ordered items we usually do, but the quality was somewhat diminished from the usual.

Don't judge a book by the cover!!! This place looks terrible from the outside, but it's delicious. Oh my. A very typical Texas style Mexican restaurant with bright, vibrant, colors and fake parrots hanging all over the place. Service was good and fast, I'm pretty sure our waiter refilled our chips 6 times. Addictingggggg. We started with some margs- one of the best peach marg I've ever had- then we had the cheese dip with peppers and spinach in it. It was a little too spicy for me but I sucked it up because it was too good not to. Paired with the salsa and chips- perfect. We ordered fajitas-with cheese dip included! And I ordered the chicken cream cheese enchiladas. Not only was it the best sauce, it was the best grilled chicken I've ever had. I had leftovers for 2 days

Fajita chimi smothered in queso! I get that it sucks theres an upcharge, but it's totally worth it! Just go for it!

KC Restaurant Week 2026 This was my first time visiting…read moreTrezo Mare and I'll definitely be returning, it's a great option for semi-formal dining in Braircliff. We went for later lunch and this place was crowded with diners, always a good sign. The lunch restaurant week menu really intrigued me because it was one of the 3 course options for $20. First course- luscious butternut squash soup One of my all time favorite soups and this one didn't disappoint, I love the autumnal flavors of this soup. The nuttiness shined through the silky smooth soup filled with the richness of cream. It was seasoned wonderfully balancing the inherent sweetness with the right amount of salt and herbs. I would drink this soup up by the gallon. Second course- Classic Chicken Picatta I loved how light this dish was, instead of being breaded it was tender moist chicken, yes it may look a little anemic but it wasn't lacking flavor. The bright lemon caper sauce brought like to the chicken. The abundance of capers made me so happy, they provided a tangy briny profile. The smooth as butter mashed potatoes just soaked up that succulent sauce and every bite had such a luscious mouth feel. This was an elevated comfort dish. Dessert- crème brûlée Now I'm not a dessert girl so I'm not a crème brûlée connoisseur but, it had a nice crackly sugar shell with a decadent eggy custard. The ripe berries were simple but added freshness to richness of the custard.

Odd. We appreciated the heads up however, I feel like they were really wanting us to turn around and leave as the restaurant seemed overwhelmed. We stayed as it was too late in day to go elsewhere. The kitchen was indeed backed up, no silverware provided had to ask, and our server said to order right away if we wanted to get our food. They were out of some items. Took 45 minutes for food to arrive. However, the staff was apologetic, even though it took awhile to be served the meal itself was acceptable --the pork chop, surf and turf, braised meat, and pizza were all hits. Server had to confirm with kitchen if they were still serving dessert, we were able to order. The desserts consisted of banana coconut pie which basically pudding & bananas in a bowl, tiramisu, and Keylime, all were just okay not worth $. The patio is beautiful and perfect for a nice day. It is very expensive, so we'll save it for special personal occasions not a national holiday/special day, but the food quality makes it worth a return visit.

The pick-up is so quick and easy - just order online, pop-in, and grab your order off the shelves to the left of the entry door. You can't go wrong with the food here from girl breakfast, to the plain + simple breakfast sandwich, to the pepperjack burrito, to the market bowl, lunch menu and their many many mouthwatering pastries. And don't forget about the coffee! They have both real mugs and to-go cups. I love their regular drip coffee, cold brew, cappuccinos and lattes. The cafe's interior design is modern, chic and comfortable with a mix of booth and table seating. I can usually find a seat for 2-4 people, groups larger than that may have a hard time finding a seat during peak times like weekend mornings. Seasonally, McLain's offers outdoor seating, too. Best of all, the staff makes you feel right at home - welcoming, friendly, helpful, hardworking and clean. Parking is angled street parking out front. Sometimes I have to walk a bit but never more than a block. Just writing this has me craving McLain's already.

We took advantage of the weather and sat outside. The wind was a bit much, but the ambiance was great. From the chips and salsa to start, the server was super attentive and friendly. We started with some aguas frescas and a coconut flavor margarita -- all on point! I had the birria tacos and they were so delicious. Didn't feel greasy, and that chipotle? Delicioso! We also tried the Street Tacos with carnitas and the Shrimp Fajitas Special. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the servings were great in size. Almost picture perfect, but some pictures weren't as good as the food we had. We finished with dessert. As moms out with no kids, we got both desserts offered to try them. The tres leches was good, not awesome in our opinion, but my friend who ordered it makes a mean tres leches so we're critical. The churros I think were awesome -- perfect portion too! We had a blast! It's been recommended for date night too, and I'm already planning to go back with my husband.

The food was okay overall, just not quite my personal favorite. We tried the margarita and the pepino mint; unfortunately, the drinks weren't really for me and tasted a bit like a premade mix, and the pepino mint didn't quite hit the mark. One small issue was that our utensils weren't clean at first, but the staff quickly replaced them when we asked, which we appreciated. Overall, it was a pleasant experience thanks to the great service and vibe, even though the food and drinks weren't exactly my taste. We probably won't come back but glad we tried it!
