It's the kind of place you could and would want to be a regular at if you lived nearby. I want to be a regular, and I live 500 miles away. But you can bet when I'm heading that way, I'm stopping in again. I had skipped lunch and was really hungry, but didn't want to get something real heavy either, and I though I had "sort of" done that. I was totaly wrong. Blue Crab Ravioli in an artichoke/spinache alfredo sauce, topped with toasted/roasted mozzarella... I know what you're thinking, cream sauce and cheese? How is that light you knucklehead? Well, I was thinking that ravioli, usually served with 4-6 pieces would be just drizzled in this topping. NOPE. Scalding hot cast iron skillet loaded with ravioli, in that heavy, cheese/cream sauce. But here's how good it was. I took half to go, and had 1/4 of that when I got home 2 days later (always carry a cooler bag kids...) Then I had the remainder for lunch one day. Best ravioli I've ever had, and I want to be Italian and have had a lot of pasta in my life. I sat at the bar, and when people sat down around me, we all started talking. It's that kind of place. It's also dark, dank, gritty, and it's character shows in every space. Did I mention the great tunes? Yep... music right up my alley. Food, drinks, music, vibes... Yeah, 10 - 10 would go back again. And again.

Wow! Okay as a person visiting the town for 2 days... SKIP THIS PLACE!…read moreI'll be the first to admit the food is DELICIOUS. The service? Horrendous. 1.) Had to continuously interrupt the bartender talking with their friend at the bar. 2.) a DOG was behind the bar. Never seen that before. A public place. No pets allowed. And yet, for the 2nd day in a row a dog is running free. Cute and fluffy! But not the place. 3.) made a very specific request, and would've been fine if the answer was no but the bartender said very enthusiastically "SURE!" And then once the bill arrived I was charged double. I explained the situation "oh, my bad, I misheard you and charged you for 2." That was it. So, it's your mistake for not paying attention because your friend is sitting at the bar but now it's my problem? I think not. To make matters worse? I went to pay using the QR code printed on the receipt and she immediately states "sorry, that doesn't work!" I tried it anyways. It worked! Do not recommend. Lots of cool spots, you can skip this one.

Located across the street from Bathhouse Row, the Ohio Club has had a long history in this town, having served gangsers, famous baseball players, and other celebrities. I can see why...I mean, they like great food and good drinks just as much as everyone else! The atmosphere is off-the-charts incredible and feels as if one is stepping back in time to 1920s America. Combine this with an amazing food menu and incredible drink selection, and you've got one helluva experience! Service was stellar...friendly and prompt. She was also very helpful with menu selections and drink choices, knowing exactly where to steer two virgins of the Ohio Club experience. We chose to share the Reuben, which was a great choice because it was so big. For drinks, we opted for the Ohio Rum Sour and Berry Ohio...never looking back as they were both delicious! WE...WILL...BE...BACK!!!

What's the one thing that gives everyone apprehension about attending a dinner theater?…read more The food - right? Fear not at Hot Springs Bathhouse Theater - the food here was on point. I had two teenage boys who are BIG eaters and they said the theater buffett was their best meal of our entire trip to Hot Springs. A bunch of variety from chicken wings, to turkey to beef and chicken, plenty of awesome sides and just a ton of great food to choose from. We attended on the opening night of the Christmas Spectacular show so close to a sold-out crowd and still plenty of food - even with folks of course piling their plates to the ceiling. We thought the wait staff was fun and energetic - drinks were re-filled quickly and nice generous pours of wine. The Christmas Musical Spectacular show - was Spectacular. Beautifully acted and sung, comical and entertaining at times and poignant and heartfelt at others. Great family evening in beautiful facility and great wholesome entertainment!

A true 5 star independent underground music festival, the VoV is now in its 11th year. I first…read moreattended this ultra cool, original underground grass roots music festival in March 2009 - it was in its sixth season. The brain child of local legend Bill Solleder, what started out as an outlet for local and area talents has grown into a vibrant festival with dozens upon dozens of acts from all around the world performing over multiple days and locations and drawing venue goers of all ages in the thousands. Most shows are all ages welcome. Held at several venues now within the city, it all goes back to it's starting point - the low key arts building - a dark green industrial two story building with a red door, that sits off Arbor nestled up against the side of Hot Springs mountain. This unassuming concrete structure, for a week in the spring, becomes the hub for this eclectic and awesome event. The days always start off pretty easy and mellow, with blue grass, instrumental or chamber music for example early and builds in intensity throughout the day, the groups or acts during the evening hours are usually more rock and alternative and definitely louder! Since it's beginning it has been a volunteer driven event - where many community members have worked and helped support this amazing event every year since it's inception. And each year, it grows more adds more talent and more people find out about this awesome festival. Great independent music of all kinds, over a week in mid March (always the week of spring break there), with good food, cold beer, trail shows, cool venues to listen and enjoy said music at and lots of really nice folks for helping out - the VoV - the way an underground independent music festival should be... Well worth the effort to attend - buy your event wrist band early and make to journey to the Valley of the Vapors. 5 Starts 00179
