When I called Best Home Improvements, Victor immediately called me back and came out to give me an estimate. He is very polite respectful and professional! I wanted a sliding glass door to be installed. Because at the time they had bigger jobs to do his workers Javier and his helper Artemic came on a weekend to install the door. They are very friendly and did a excellent job! From now on if I need anything done on my home I will definitely call Victor from Best home improvements. I highly recommend them.

Best Home Improvements, and specifically Victor, came highly recommended by a couple of friends who had work done on their homes. When it comes time to do more projects on our home we will be reaching out to them again.

Hired Peter is take over for a contractor that lacked in quality and professionalism and got the…read moresame thing from Tri-South. None of the contracted work was completed, yet he's expecting me to pay full price for work that was shoddy, not done up to code, poor craftsmanship and never inspected by Peter, the general contractor with the license to perform services. Did not get a permit as required by Hamilton County. Came out to the job site once after the work started and only because I insisted due to the poor tile installation where his idea of quality control was me sending him a video of all the tiles taped in blue where they were uneven, had joint variances outside the allotment as indicated by the tile install compliance specs, and even though they used spacers none of the spacing was consistent. That was 95% of the tiles - see pictures attached. His crew backed out of the job after I complained about the poor tile install and about the hardwood floors finishing being blotchy and having t-bar marks all over the floor. He sent the hardwoods guys out to fix the t-bar marks and he only made it worse with his sanding and then expressed that mixing the top coat with amberizing makes it very hard to apply evenly and he really needs to sand the whole 1st level and redo all the slopes to make it even, after the fact, even though as "the expert" that was the application his chose. The sheen doesn't match at all (matte) compared to the original hardwoods (gloss to semi-gloss) as he never did samples so I could approve the sheen first. See attached photos. Peter decided to quit the job as he said their work would never live up to my expectations so it was better to part ways. Great customer service! Peter won't provide me with an itemized invoice for the work he claims was complete even though I asked many many times. He sent me an invoice for all the credits back for the things he didn't get to, even claiming the pantry was done when the door hadn't even been ordered and none of the shelving installed. To top it off, his crew left hot wires hanging in the attic, switches dangling (knowing I have young kids), exposed breaker panel boxes, drywall half finished (no attention to detail on sanding or properly finishing nail holes), open sewer plumbing pipes, and etc.. Horrible experience where I feel like he just took my money and left me high and dry because I challenged the poor quality of work. What's the point of hiring a GC if they don't even oversee and inspect their crews work for quality assurance and customer satisfaction?!? I've asked him to partially refund the payment made for all the incomplete and poor quality work and he went silent...so needless to say I had no other choice but to hire an inspector who specializes in litigation and file a civil suit to recoup my money, costing me more unnecessary expenses. Definitely would not recommend hiring!

He was always updating on the process of scheduling, making sure we got the right product for our situation, and even came out to assure everything was going smoothly. Ours was a small job, but you would never know it by the care he gave. Last but certainly not least, his estimate was the cheapest of all the roofers we had out for quotes. Robby came highly recommended by several neighbors, and we couldn't appreciate their recommendation or his services more. As a Realtor in middle Tennessee, he is definitely on my vendors list to give to my clients.

He was very easy to work with, and very helpful with his suggestions and recommendations for future work. My driveway looks brand new now and I couldn't be happier. I'll definitely be using him again and can recommend him wholeheartedly.

In addition, per Metro Stormwater, needed to upgrade my culvert to RCP and remove the old corrugated steel one. The owner, Ryan, contacted me back quickly with a willingness to meet soon. After meeting up, he analyzed the property with work to be done and got back to me with a quote that same day (it took others days and weeks)! After getting fed up with other company's delays and time wasting, decided to have him do the work. During the process, he was very communicative and professional. Always called me for any questions he had and didn't mind me checking in on the site often. Job was completed to my expectations and I have no complaints! Pricing was similar to others and work was great. Would have preferred to pay on credit card but was unable to this time around unfortunately. Would absolutely recommend and will keep him in mind for future projects!

We had a clog that was impacting our bath, dishwasher and kitchen sink. We called them in seeing if they could possibly unclog. They were unable. I'll be honest in I'm unsure if this is due to them or the previous people who I suspect also did incorrect work. Instead of admitting this, they continued going forward with different actions. They couldn't fix the drain and so put a ton of silicone down it (and all over the base of the tub without cleaning up) and said "I can't tell you it won't leak" Which is, obviously, upsetting and means that the tub is still unusable. The next plumber assured us it is definitely leaking under the tub now. They then tried quoting us $3,000 to fix it. We denied this and went with a different plumber, who unclogged the line in less than 30 minutes for $250. So now we have a functional kitchen sink and dishwasher, but an unusable tub due to the pro plumbing plus service. The new plumber also quoted less than a $1000 to fix the now messed up tub. To note: They didn't charge us anything. We usually get a visit fee of "we looked at it" so I'm unsure if they knew they had messed it up or what.

They show up when they say they will, they're extremely professional, and you can tell they genuinely care about doing things the right way. What I appreciate most is how clearly everything is explained. I'm never left guessing what the problem is or what needs to be done. They walk me through what's going on, how they're going to fix it, and what it's going to cost in a way that actually makes sense. Another big plus is that they're the only authorized seller and installer of Central Boiler wood boilers in the Middle Tennessee area. That level of certification and trust doesn't happen by accident, and it definitely shows in their work. I've worked with a lot of service companies over the years, and honestly, I've never had a better experience than I've had with Reed Mechanical Services. Reliable, honest, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I recommend them without hesitation.
