Working with an experienced realtor like Janet gives you such peace of mind from the very first meeting, starting with pricing, home preparation, gorgeous staging, and her market knowledge, which is always current. Because we moved out of state before closing, the care she provided to our home during open houses and the entire time in between when we were not there, was exceptional. Most importantly, was her knowledge of the history of Pasatiempo, current market data, her marketing expertise on all the positive aspects of the community, in addition to the positioning of our own home. We always knew we were in the best hands with Janet. Finally, she earned our complete respect and awe throughout our home sale journey, and we cannot recommend her highly enough. She was right by our side every step of the way (her great sense of humor intact), and we are truly so grateful. Thank you, Janet!

Please let this be a WARNING to all future tenants. I know it's hard to find housing in this town,…read morebut please do not rent from RE 831! The owner Suzie does not think of you as a person you are just a pocketbook to her. I lived in my apartment for five years and it was so sad to see neighbors come and go so frequently due to the yearly 10% rent increase. I have plenty of stories about Suzie and her employee Lisa acting as though they are beyond superior to me and my other neighbors. Stories Including the owners coming onto my property and going inside without asking, I know a few past tenants that have had to take her to small claims. But here is my doozy of a story. Buckle up because it's a good one, I have attached screenshots of emails of proof of this happening. When I moved in one of my neighbors that I had shared a wall with were sadly using drugs heavily, and there was a lot of domestic violence going on. They eventually moved out. About a week later after them moving out , I heard and saw one of the old tenants coming and going showering and bringing people over in the middle of the night while the house was empty. I called the police and emailed Suzie about this multiple times and in her emails she states that she DOUBTS I am hearing and seeing this man coming and going in the middle of the night to an empty house and squatting. Let me tell you, I spoke to him one of the mornings when he was leaving, I have video of him coming and going, and yes, I had made two police reports about this. She still "doubted" that I was seeing and hearing him. I was concerned for my neighbors safety and myself. I was shocked at the carelessness and heartless manner that Suzie was handling the situation. I'm just beyond words that people like her even exist on this planet, so please , if you want to be treated like a human being and that your concerns and money mattertake my story as a warning and do not rent from RE 831. Edit : After posting my original review above, I decided I wanted to add the screenshots of Susie and Lisa trying to cover their steps after admitting that the owners had come into my apartment with no prior communication. Mind you, they came into my apartment while I was moving out. The screenshots for this incident are from my email with the little moon symbol so you don't get confused of the two events. Sorry if they are posting out of order! Also, my building was falling apart! The termites are running rampant in this building, and Susie was notified of this matter multiple times and nothing has been done. You can hear rodents running through the walls, my light fixture stopped working because I believe rats probably ate through the wiring in my ceiling. The only time you'll ever see Susie is when she zooms up the driveway in her Porsche Cayenne to collect change from the washer and dryer that barely even works.

I have no doubt that our agent, Ruth Bates could work for any real estate firm and help strengthen their reputation. From the day we met, to the day we moved in.... I supect this sounds like we're related to Ruth or that we knew her before our intoduction interview. Truth be told, we just got lucky and from what I've heard from others who also bought or sold property with Ruth, we're not alone in our high praise. We love our home in Aptos and welcome the opportunity to reference Ruth and work with her again.

I was selling the home on behalf of my sister who had passed away several years ago. It was not a quick or easy process for me and Heidi was compassionate and patient, but firm, clear and always professional with her recommendations and guidance. She was realistic and did not over promise and I trusted her throughout the process. What also impressed me is Heidi's knowledge of real estate and willingness to teach me along the way - I ask a lot of questions and she patiently and expertly explained all the rules and procedures. She knows the industry, the laws and has good resources and contacts. This sale was a bit more work due to probate rules and trusts, but she and the escrow company guided me through and I felt well represented throughout. Her guidance in preparing the home was invaluable - the pictures looked great and the house showed well thanks to her suggestions. We had a ton of interest right away. I started the process last year (2017) and got sidetracked with work and family, then picked it up again this spring 2018. Heidi stuck with me and never pressured me - but when it was 'go-time' she was rock steady and made everything happen right away. I am very grateful for her skills, knowledge and experience and highly recommend her as your agent.

Their expertise and guidance gave me the confidence we were in the right hands. Not only did they find the perfect home for us, but they were incredible throughout the whole search and buying process. They went above and beyond to guide us every step of the way. When we found the house we wanted, Matt and Mary knew exactly what to do to navigate the competitive buying process. There were 5 other competing offers. Matt immediately built rapport with the sellers agent, had our offer ready to submit ahead of the deadline and provided expert advice on the day the sellers were deciding which offer to accept. When we were told our offer was not the top one, Matt and Mary strategically negotiated with the sellers agent, resubmitted multiple offers and ultimately got our offer accepted. During these extremely stressful moments, Matt remained calm and confident. Once our offer was accepted, Matt and Mary walked us through each step during escrow. As a first time buyer, Matt made sure we understood the process, the documents, what was needed, etc. He was always prepared, kept us organized and made the home buying experience very smooth and seamless. ## Review for Mike Castle - Century 21 Real Estate Alliance…read more Mike was professional and friendly throughout our interactions. He replied to my messages and calls promptly and took quick action on important matters. As a tenant on Section 8 facing legal issues, Mike's expertise in real estate law was invaluable. He successfully negotiated a HAP contract with my housing authority, where three previous landlords had failed. This saved me from having to live in my car at the last minute. I found Mike's listing on Zillow.com after trying other options where landlords required separate application fees. On Zillow, I only paid a one-time $35 fee to send my background check to unlimited landlords. Mike's listing was the first one I saw, and it was for a luxury condo on the ocean. Mike went above and beyond in every aspect, drawing on his 40 years of experience in real estate and property management. He hired painters and cleaners to make the unit look new, bought a new refrigerator and stove, and even managed to repair a 40-year-old louvre window crack by finding the exact aftermarket part and hiring a mechanic to fix the internals. This allowed the county to pass the unit, saving me. As a final touch of kindness, Mike left a week's worth of breakfast food in the fridge and toiletries for me, like a luxury hotel. I feel so grateful to Mike for his integrity and for fighting for me like attorney Larry H. Parker.
