The…read moreentire team was professional, communicative, and truly cared about making our dream home a reality. We received regular updates, photos, and explanations throughout the build, which made us feel involved, informed, and confident every step of the way. We had several meetings along the journey where we learned about each stage of construction and were given the opportunity to make changes as needed. From day one, Randy sat down with us to review the plans and help us customize the blueprints to fit our family's needs. One of our favorite parts of the process was getting to make all of our own selections. Every contractor we worked with--from flooring, paint, and brick to lighting and finishes--was professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. Everyone involved showed genuine passion for their craft and a commitment to quality. A HUGE thank you to Randy--our amazing builder--for holding our hands, answering every single question, and keeping us sane through this entire process. He truly made this experience unforgettable. And let me tell you... this man works HARD. Randy goes above and beyond in everything he does. The details, the craftsmanship, the heart he puts into his work--it all shows in every corner of this home. Kedalo Construction adds thoughtful touches, takes the time to get things right, and always keeps the homeowner's best interest at heart. We couldn't be happier with how our home turned out. It's everything we dreamed of and more, and we are so incredibly thankful for the entire team for making this journey such a positive and memorable one.

We hired Randy to work on our Caledonia Forest property and had numerous issues with him. Delays over and over again, little to NO communication, horrible shoddy work that we had to go over and fix ourselves, and then charged us over $10,000 more than the original quote, after months of delays from the promised work. I paid him around $10,000 for tiles from Heritage tiles and he stole nearly half the tiles and refuses to pick up his phone or provide information on where these tiles are. After I called him yesterday, since he blew off my employee about the tiles and told us its "our" problem, and left a voicemail that he better refund the tiles or get it to us - he and 3 of his employees left us 1 star reviews on our Google page. THIS is how this man and his "company" treat local business owners? Months of delayed work, tens of thousands in over priced work not completed on time, steals OUR tile that we paid for, then leaves OUR business negative reviews? Unbelievable. I have an incredible builder now who is top notch. If you need anything done in Clarksville, hire Bruce with Saunders Construction. And what ever you do, don't hire a THIEF like Randy Whetsell and his company. Making up lies it took 8 months to pay. Your first original invoice was sent on 11/1. It hasn't even been 8 months. How convenient your price went up over $10K AFTER you were called out for your lack of communication and the terrible work of your team. You got YOUR money, you refuse to call/communicate about my tiles, then have the nerve to leave my company 1 star reviews after how you and your team treated us? Unbelievable. RESPONSE TO STACEY: I wrote you guys one check that my bank chose not to honor. Now I wonder if it's because you guys have a history of scamming people? Then I asked you for a way to pay via card, and I paid my balance: IN FULL. You bet I took my time paying. When you guys delayed work by months and didn't communicate EVER unless I had to send numerous messages to Randy. What your operating costs are for accepting card payments in 2022 is relevant to the customer HOW? You guys ruin your own reputation. Screwing over a small business owner, steal my money and tile, do AWFUL work that we had to pay thousands more to FIX, then deny your theft of my paid property? I hope Clarksville runs crooks straight out of this city. No more business owners need to be screwed over by your company. And material cost doesn't jump by over $10,000 within a couple of months. Funny how that extra $10,000 got conveniently tacked on to my bill the day following my message to Randy about my disappointment in how terrible the work you guys did was and how often he continued delaying finished work with NO response or communication. PAID invoice slip attached below. Including nearly $19K for the tile and labor. We paid this invoice in full and this company stole nearly half the tile work that was never completed in our shop!

This company will take your money and run! These people are equivalent to the Daddy who tells the…read morekids I'll be back getting milk and cigarettes, and then GHOSTS! Quality of work will appear to be great however as time progresses, and the materials begin to settle in, you will begin to see the defects on the sh1ty workmanship they provide. They will tell you they will cover workmanship yet, when it's time for them to do their part, they will be no where to be found. They will stall you. So if you are lucky to get a hold of them, ensure you lock in the date and time, and keep everything recorded so when the time comes you can protect yourself. They will send you a guy name Earl, he will tell you that they are working on getting things done for you that he cares for you blah blah , however when you show them how the walls look (refer to the pics I shared) they will "agree" with you and you will be told, let me check with the "boss" and see to make it right. Well that will be the story line you will get. I did however get some support from the gentlemen I just named, (not sure if it was because we were still months away from our so called workmanship contract) when I first moved here permanently, and time for us to install my washer the outlet was completely different from what it was originally with.c he did recommend me what to get and he ended up coming out to get that taken care off, again not sure if it was a front due to we still had several months left before that 1 year of new builders "warranty" . Fast track to today's date, after talking to the owner over the phone and me expressing how the people he contracted to do work on his behalf representing his name , was defected he himself said there was nothing he can do, I don't know if he even cared to see the videos I sent but as you can see in the pictures of the wall I shared, that looked like some folks from home depot did that wall who had not license to work on walls. Heck some of his own people told me that that wall was unacceptable. Anywho, not sure if I'm being petty or childish however I don't want for anyone to have to deal with what I'm dealing with. To be fair, my neighbor told me that he himself had the same issue with them trying to repair workmanship. He said it was like pulling teeth to get them to dos his stuff, what he did was opted let it go since the hassle was not worth it. When the Merrill's sent some folks to the house to repair the bathroom running boards about two weeks ago, and as of today the boards are not taken care off. I trusted their process and it appears that this company is not in the "building relationships with their customers" , how they have been in business for this long is beyond me. The companies reps they send to you will be sweet talking to you and buying time (from the experience and actions I have seen from dealing with them upon requesting the company meets their part of the bargain, maybe some other folks have had better luck but I'm expressing what has taken place in my situation showing the pics ) and will not be completing what they said they covered. Overall I would stay away from the Merrill's home improvement/building company. Had I known how they operate, I would have never trusted them. So please be careful and don't let get played by the GOOD COP BAD COP. All they are doing is buying time for themselves. They may be "affordable, but not worth the hassle!! Ensure your fellow veterans are fully aware of your in a leadership position ensure you inform Your soldiers who are looking into purchasing a home, to please ask who the builder is. When they are doing the walk through, please ensure to inform them not to take their realtors word nor the sellers realtors word that they have 1 year of warranty, if they see something wrong with the property looking into purchasing have them get it fixed immediately before they sign any contract! If You have any further questions or concerns do not hesitate to reach out. Good Bless and again this rating is for informational purpose only so you don't have to go through the hassle yourself or your soldiers.

Our experience with this builder was an absolute nightmare. Based on our experience, we would…read morestrongly advise others to think twice before trusting him with one of the largest financial investments of their lives. We were left dealing with approximately $90,000 in remediation, repairs, and additional work on our home. The problems included redoing the entire home's interior flooring and painting, correcting excavation, drainage, and landscaping issues that required 26 tri-axle loads of dirt, redoing tile shower work, rebuilding portions of the deck and stairs, redoing the porch pillars, fixing falling gutters, and repairing a hole in the roof. And this is only a partial list of the issues we had to address. As if correcting this much work weren't enough, we also had to pay to finish work that had not been completed, despite being included in the agreed-upon floor plan. We were left spending additional time and money correcting problems and completing work that we reasonably expected to be handled as part of the original construction agreement. That is an unacceptable position to put a homeowner in after paying to have a home built. The lack of professionalism was just as troubling. We found an employee sleeping inside our house, discovered cases of beer bottles around the property, and encountered cigarette smoking inside the house. These were serious concerns involving the basic standards of professionalism, supervision, and respect for someone else's property. This was not the level of care or conduct we expected from a builder entrusted with our home. The situation ultimately led to an approximately 18-month legal dispute. Instead of being able to enjoy our home with confidence, we spent an enormous amount of time, money, and energy dealing with construction problems, unfinished work, and the resulting dispute. The financial burden and stress of this experience have been substantial. What makes this experience particularly frustrating is the sheer volume of work we had to address after the fact. This was not one isolated defect or a minor disagreement over cosmetic details. It was a long list of significant problems, additional work, and concerns about professionalism that collectively turned what should have been a positive experience into an expensive and exhausting ordeal. We would not hire this builder again, and we cannot recommend him to anyone considering building a home.
