Fiction of all shapes and sizes, non-fiction from gardening and sustainable cooking to local interest and historical accounts, and a whole children's section in the back. The staff clearly enjoy reading and keep up-to-date on the local literary scene. The store is well-stocked with all the latest award-winners and bestsellers. But they're also clearly dedicated to supplying and supporting well-written books on a variety of subjects. Due to the layout of the store, they can't host events--so they pair up with the Courtenay Public Library located 1 block away. What an awesome team supporting local literature and the reading community of the Comox Valley.

The staff at the library were friendly, helpful, and (best of all) ready for us. They'd put up posters and set up chairs and were very welcoming.

Madeira Park/Pender Harbour does not have a library so they have this reading centre and it is…read moreawesome. The books are all current. There is nothing older than ten years old, they have a great selection and if Sechelt Library has something you need, they arrange to bring it up for you. It is run by volunteers who are all so friendly and helpful. I just wish I discovered it earlier. It really is awesome.
