I took two very large photographs and a magazine cover in to get framed, and the very knowledgeable young man who helped me spent so much time carefully studying the images and giving me many options for each. I wound up choosing metal frames for each of the photos -- one very slimline/low profile and the other a larger/heavier brushed steel that perfectly matched the artwork -- and a lovely weathered wood frame with a bright white matte surrounding the magazine cover. About 10 days later, I picked up three beautifully framed pieces for a very reasonable price. (We're not talking buy-a-frame-at-IKEA prices, but you get what you pay for!) I know I'll be a repeat customer; go here with confidence!

Makes sense because several great paint brands come from the Netherlands. Van Beek has a framing store and design art store as well. Both are nearby. We were just visiting the city, so found some tiny canvases that were perfect for creating art while traveling. Staff was friendly and speaks English, everything was very well organized and easy to find.

I took a painting on paper to be framed here. The image on the paper was not centred but I did not…read morewant the paper cut or altered. I instructed the shop to use a large mat around to accommodate the extra paper that was blank. When I picked up the framed piece I was horrified to see they had cut the paper of the painting to what they thought was nice. This is unacceptable and shows that they know nothing about art, artists or the value of an original piece. The owner's response was "well you can sue me". He had my phone number and if there was a question he could have called before mutilating the art piece. Unbelievable!!! I have taken art pieces to this shop to be framed for the past 8 years. Never again. Avoid this place if your item to be framed is of any value.

Firstly, they treat your child as their own - I have dropped off two children there and they've always been returned in better condition than when they left me (not sure what that says for me as a caretaker :\). They come back to you sleek, refined and well framed for the future; it's like they went through their own sort of etiquette school. Good price + centre of Amsterdam = does not compute! It's worth noting that Partout does this at a significantly better price than, ahem, some other places which I have previously reviewed. I will be sending all my future children to them, perhaps directly FedExed from their previous residences - Vietnam, Thailand, Cleveland - who knows! Note: No children were harmed in the writing of this review *Use of the word 'child/ren' in this review refers to pieces of art I've acquired. I don't have a cat yet, so art will be my pride and joy for now!
