I wish I could give her ZERO stars. I did a walk-in with two other friends a month ago for eyebrow waxing, and Cindy did a great job; all three of us were happy with our results. I went in again yesterday with one of the same friends, and Cindy pushed me to her technician named Anne, who totally butchered my eyebrows, leaving wax and obvious, wayward hairs untweezed after she said she was done. I had to ask her to trim my eyebrows as she only waxed them, and she really didn't accomplish much. The overall look wasn't much different from before I went in. I wasted $12.00, since I still tipped. I AM NOT GOING BACK THERE, EVER. TERRIBLE SERVICE. read more

I came in to see if they could help one of my newly done nails (i had done elsewhere). Waited the time allotted, no big deal, then tried explaining what i needed done to redo a nail. I felt like I had to argue my point however allowed them to take the lead...they finished the nail then when I went to ask the total and give them my card they quoted me a price then after giving them the payment they said oh there's also an additional fee for those under $10, I was never notified before the work was done. I showed up at 6:45 and even though they closed at 7, they were more than happy to give me a manicure. I received a great mani. I wasn't at all rushed and Cindy and her husband were very friendly. I really don't like writing reviews like this, but this was really bad. My girlfriend and I went in for a relaxing pedicure. My pedicurist had an EXTREMELY soft touch while giving me a foot rub and didn't go past my ankles. My girlfriend asked if they don't give males leg/calf rubs and they responded by telling her that males don't like the lotion in their leg hair, which was definitely a first for me. Being a guy the only reason I get a pedicure is for a good deep foot and leg massage. My girlfriend brought up the wet noodle massage several times but they just kept saying no. Not to mention, my toenails are we clipped jagged (not that I care that much, but come on). Come time to pay they charged me for a full spa pedicure ($25) which to me was more than fair for what I got. When I signed, she pointed at the receipt and shrieked "$25???" to which I responded with an extra slash through the tip line. We made it very clear that I was unhappy and it was a sub-par service, and it really didn't seem like they cared one bit. Having said all this, the extra star is for Cindy. She gives a mean massage and my lady's piggies look great! :) If you must go here, request Cindy, and be female. read more

Went to get shellac on, it was not busy, and they had three people working. When I got there, there was no one else, and eventually two others came in, but left within thirty minutes. The phone rang when I was the only one left, but of the three, the person that was doing my nails had to go pick it up. Throughout the process, she kept walking around doing other stuff and then coming back. It was a waste of my time because the nails came out uneven except for one which I told them that it was uneven. It was over an hour before my nails were done, waste of my time. They charged me more than the place I gotten done last time. They offer you water or tea to make you comfortable. The more often you go the better it gets. You know when you have a gut feeling that you ignore? That is what I did when I actually got a pedicure at this place. The second I put my feet in the water, I regretted ignoring that feeling. I first noticed that all the tubs for pedicures were old and dirty. The place is literally filthy. I was staring at dead flies on the floor which then made me really look around. If they had sterilization equipment, you could not see it and they don't even use fresh towels for each pedicure, just a one paper towel on top of an old towel. The actual pedicure was marginal at best. My nails are uneven, crooked and the paint is all over my toes. I definitely would not recommend and will never go back. read more

I have been going to Nancy to get my nails done for about a month and a half now I like the way she does my nails I think they look pretty and I also work in a hardware store so I am rough on my hands all day and never had one chip or break off im very happy with the results I get from this establishment. AMAZING customer service!!! Walked in at 550; they greeted us with enthusiasm and friendliness. This is my first time here and will be my regular spot to get my nails done. I recently moved from Portland to Issaquah and after sampling several local salons, finally found Anna at Cindy Nails. Anna takes her time and meticulously applies shellac to my high standards. Even if I haven't scheduled a full manicure, she cleans up my hangnails, which I appreciate. Admittedly this is not a slick, fancy salon but that's not what I'm looking for. I especially like that they carry a huge selection of CND shellac which is my preference due to its ease of removal, very little scraping. Please don't move, Anna. Don't wanna lose you! read more

I do not even know how this place has good reviews, its the dirtiest salon I have EVER been in. I went in to have just simple french tips painted on my acrylics. She didnt even bother to remove all of my old polish, she left it all over my cuticles and the sides of my nails She then did the sloppiest french tips you have ever seen, and I had polish all over my fingers that she didnt bother to remove. The towel on her station was dirty, Im not talking just stained and clean, but dirty, fresh polish stains and who knows what else. She filed my nails with a dirty used nail file! I will never go back here and cannot recommend that anyone else go either. Very unprofessional. It might have just been the one woman doing my nails, but the place was still a wreck. If you want really good service and an amazing nail job, go to Uptown Nails across the street! I went there afterward to have my nails fixed. read more

They do not sterilize much less clean their equipment between customers. And, one of the worst manicures I've had.

This place is filthy dirty - do not go! The people are rude and they cut both my daughter and my finger doing manicures. The floor is covered with toenails and the utensils are not sanatized. I had to ask them to drain the water from the foot tub because it was so dirty. read more

Went for a mani/pedi. The nail tech who did the pedicure did a very nice job, but the other nail tech who did the manicure cut into one of my cuticles too much, causing it to bleed and to sting with pain. I know this is not unknown to happen at salons where some of the staff is not adequately trained, but the tech did not even acknowledge what happened or apologize. She pretended nothing was wrong, and applied some type of product onto the injured area several times (maybe it was supposed to stop the bleeding?). But it created an unsightly black spot at the base of the nail, so I had to remove all the polish when I got home. Then I saw that a sizable chunk had been cut from my the cuticle and was red. Horrible customer service I have ever experienced in nail salon. I did mani and don't like the result at all.

Minimal wait which was a plus. However, service for my mani/pedi were the 'roughest' I've expereinced. I obtained two skin tears from the gal during my pedi and her nails dug into my skin when she was painting my toes. The mani was also rough, resulting in time spent after filing down all the rough edges :/. I was also shocked to find out their cost is almost $10 higher than other salons. Awful! Awful! Awful! Had a fill and pedicure. They brought a tub of water for my feet as I was sitting at the manicure station. I had to twist my body to keep my feet in the tub while my nails were being done which was extremely uncomfortable. The finished product was embarrassingly bad. I went to Cindy Nails because I was unable to get in to my regular salon...Uptown Nails in Gilman Village. I will do without rather than walk thru the door of Cindy's place.
