He's been in the neighborhood for a long time and clearly knows the ins and outs of both Illinois and federal tax laws. Why I Recommend Him: Responsiveness: He is great about returning calls and emails, even during the peak of tax season. You never feel like just another file on a desk. Accuracy & Insight: He doesn't just "plug in numbers." He looks for proactive ways to help you save on taxes and plan for the next year. Fair Pricing: His fees are very reasonable for the level of expertise and personal attention you receive. Pro Tip His office is conveniently located on Irving Park Road. DO NOT TRUST THIS AGENT OR HIS AGENCY!…read more When I was first approached by this agency, they cold called my phone and gave me a quote that seemed too good to be true. Well, it WAS! After only a few months my rate went up. I later found out that they had used info I didn't give them, that had auto populated in their system...they had included my EX-fiance in their quoting which drove my rate really low. Over the year that I was with them, my rate kept going up even though I didn't have any accidents. Then, the worst part is, I left State Farm to go to another company and that company sent in my cancellation info. I also called the office and informed them that I was leaving. In Illinois, you are supposed to get a refund on any premium that was not used. I was due a refund. But, not only did they NOT issue me a refund, but they charged me AGAIN! And claimed they never received my cancellation, even though I spoke to their office on the phone as well as my new agent sending in my cancellation info. When I caught the error on my bank account, I tried contacting the agent via email, phone and even their customer service line. Not one time did John Nuzzo ever call me back. The company only sent me a check for one payment when I was due a refund on two payments and they keep insisting that they never got my cancellation and that their "policy" is to only go back 30 days on a cancellation. I've spoken with two other agents at different companies and they told me that it is ILLEGAL to charge a premium when someone is covered by another company and that I'm due a refund. This is absolutely ridiculous. First they bait me into switching to their company with a fraudulently quoted rate, then they charge me when I leave and I have to go through all sorts of red tape and don't even get the refund I'm due. I would NOT trust this agent and I will NEVER be returning to State Farm.
