Update 5/24/2019: We cleaned out our two storage facilities today after eight years... crazy. Things are greatly improved from my perspective. The grounds are super clean and well maintained. The grounds are under video surveillance plus fenced and/or locked. Tony is absolutely amazing to work with overall. He made the difference for me. I would now recommend this business.
Update 4/10/2017: this storage facility now requires proof of insurance in order to store here. Luckily, they have a plan to sell as well. For two units totally 10'x15' square, it will set you back about $135/month for $2K coverage.
Update 6/13/2016: After coming off two months of non-payment because of office clerical and sale transition errors, we mailed our payment again on time just as we have for the 5+ years of doing business here. Again, we received a late notice and a call. Again, the payment was misapplied. No personal touch follow up call - just email from district manager with copy/paste of office notes. I sure miss Tom. What once was easy is now hard plus continues to be mismanaged. Update 3/26/2016: The district manager contacted me about two months ago. She was professional and customer focused. She listened as I voiced my concerns and experience with the new ownership/mgmt. I know she will address any issues if they are raised within the company. She also credited us several months rent on the two units we have. I wanted to allow enough time to elapse to ensure things are now in order for us. They appear to be.
Find somewhere else if at all possible. We have had two storage units at this location for app five years. This property was sold mid-2015. We have had nothing but headaches since the purchase. Contracts were a mess to deal with long distance. Agreed upon actions were not taken. The current property manager can only say how bad the bookkeeping was before the sale. This is NOT my issue. They made the purchase. We ALWAYS paid/pay on time, and NEVER had a problem with the previous owner - EVER. We always pay on time and no insufficient funds, etc. no issues. EVER. Today, 1/31/2016, I received two letters in the mail. One said we are past due which is NOT the case. No call - just an incorrect form letter. Then, another saying we were paid in full but there is a rate increase effective March. The manager accepts no responsibility for anything being wrong. When they are out of office, your call goes to an outsourced answering center in Phoenix. If I still lived in the area, I would seek out a locally owned storage facility. I would not store my items here. Yes, I've gotten stern in my dealings with this facility and rightly so. I've never seen a more poorly managed operation in a very long time. No apology. No offer to cover one month or anything for all the inconveniences they've put us through. Only bad mouthing the previous owner. It's a shame really. What was no worry for us in the past is now something we have to watch over monthly to ensure all is well with our stored items. Go somewhere else if you can. read more
