I'm giving this office three stars only because the doctor and back-office nurse were polite, caring, and very helpful. Unfortunately, the front office experience was the complete opposite. The receptionist, Ashley, was rude and did not listen, repeatedly giving the same response despite me explaining what the physician had instructed. She seemed set on her own narrative and would not acknowledge what was being said. It took another receptionist, Aimee, stepping in for the issue to be resolved and for me to finally receive correct information. I had common concerns and questions about the reviews this place has and the nurse made me feel nothing but uncomfortable and tried to make me feel stupid for the way I was feeling. Not allowing a guest to come back with you or even sit in the waiting room is weird and sketchy if you ask me. This clinic continues to display a COVID policy sign stating that no significant other is allowed to accompany the mother, even during moments as meaningful as hearing the fetal heartbeat for the first time. Denying a partner the ability to be present for emotional support and shared joy takes away from the beauty of two parents bonding over the development of their baby. Being told that the room is "too small" and that it would be "too crowded" is not a justifiable reason to deprive families of these once-in-a-lifetime moments. This approach does not reflect family-centered care, compassion, or empathy. Instead, it prioritizes convenience over emotional well-being and meaningful patient experience-resulting in poor quality care and outcomes. No mother should be made to experience such pivotal moments alone. If you are seeking care that is supportive, compassionate, empathetic, and truly family-centered, I would strongly encourage you to consider other clinics. read more

I strongly do not recommend Dr. Syed Rizvi at Valley OB. I have been struggling with irregular periods every six weeks and unexplained weight gain for the past 6-7 months, despite eating well and exercising. During this time, I underwent extensive testing, including blood work, ultrasound, and a Pap smear--all of which came back normal except for a cyst. Despite these normal results, Dr. Rizvi performed a painful cervical biopsy to check for cancer, which I believe was unnecessary given that all other tests were normal. During the biopsy he did not tell me what he was doing as in step-by-step afterward he didn't give me anything to clean up. There was blood all over the table. I had blood all over me. I had to use a little sheet thingy to clean myself up no aftercare instructions nothing!!! The biopsy came back normal as well. Now, he is referring me to another doctor for surgery on the cyst, which he himself said could go away on its own, yet he gave no explanation for why surgery is necessary. When I asked him to explain my irregular periods and weight gain, he repeatedly told me that the other doctor he is referring me to would answer those questions. If he cannot provide basic answers about my health, why see him at all? It feels like he is more interested in pushing unnecessary procedures than helping patients understand their own bodies. I have already filed a grievance with my insurance. No woman should have to go through this kind of confusing, frustrating, and unnecessary treatment. I should've looked at the reviews before coming here. I feel bad for all the other women that had to deal with this unprofessional doctor. read more

Worst experience I had at my appointment today. I ran out in tears. The dr does not explain anything to you in detail. He just tells you what to do but doesn't explain why. I asked him what hospital do I go to if I go into labor and he walked out and told me to scan a QR code which I did. And I sat back in the room, then he came back and said "did you scan it? They will send you an email" And I asked "for what?" His response was "what do you think?" I was so stunned and I shocked I didn't even say anything back. It was so rude and I've never felt so upset and hurt that a Dr can talk to someone like that. Let alone, I am 37 weeks pregnant about to have this baby and now I don't ever want him to deliver my baby. read more

I called earlier in the day and was advised to come in for a test between 1-3. I drove over forty minutes and was not given a disclaimer before I came in that kids are not allowed in the office. The girl gave me attitude in her response and rolled her eyes stating that it's the office policy. Mind you my two children were sitting down behaved. I went back in to ask for a managers phone number and was given a number that does not answer. Very horrible place I've ever experienced. I really hope that someone sees this and doesn't make the same mistake and come here. Terrible service and tiny room. They also don't allow anyone to come with you even if they are translating. They insist on doing their own translation to not allow "guests" in. They gave my mom their own "translation" and told her she had a placenta when they really meant an infection. She's not pregnant and can't get pregnant. All of the locations suck. I've been going here since the beginning of my pregnancy and you're not allowed to have anybody with you at all, not even in the waiting room. You usually wait 2 hours to see your provider , and when you see them they do not ask you questions about how you've been doing, almost like they don't want to give you care. All of the providers I've seen are absolutely pathetic, one of them in fact was pushing me about vaccines (which I normally get anyways) but you should never push a patient out of your own beliefs. Secondly, when I had given birth you normally go 1 week after your birthdate, for a PPD screening, so you have a brand new infant, that you are NOT allowed to bring with you??? That was the biggest concern, I had with them. You are a pregnancy doctor (basically) but you don't allow the child you've been so concerned about with me to my appointment? There reasonings were "we don't allow children" yeah okay. I have not been back since. DO NOT go to this OB, there is better ones out there. And one other thing, you can't get ahold of any kind of MA or nurse or your OB on the phone, they are closed most days, one of their numbers for a medical assistant doesn't even work, so if you have anything wrong or suspect something is wrong good luck getting any care! You have to go call a third party like someone from a hospital to get any advice. This is the worst place I've ever been to in my life, and I've gone through my whole pregnancy but the instant I gave birth I was expected to come back without my newborn. I can't speak to how the care is here, I just want to give a heads up to any expectant mothers out there- they will not allow any "guests" (yes this includes your HUSBAND/individual who contributed HALF of the dna of your unborn child) in the room for ultrasounds and appointments. Not allowed.... was also told I would most likely not be able to (at LEAST) FaceTime my husband/father of my child during the ultrasound, to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time either. I asked what the reasoning was for both of those stipulations and was told "the provider just isn't comfortable with it" I made an appointment elsewhere as I am uncomfortable with my husband missing out on those things, and VERY uncomfortable with being alone in a room with someone who won't allow my husband to be present and can't even issue out a good reason for that. Front Desk ladies were very unprofessional. As soon as I walked in it was, "Do you have an appointment?" I let that slide, then they have you read a folder before you sign to pay and release information. Talk about not being up to date. Got to the back, everyone in the back was great, restroom someone had used and didn't flush.. Finished up my appointment and had a sticky note to hand over to the front desk. Sure enough young lady puts her hand out for the note, no acknowledgment. Just a hand out to hand over the sticky note. Mind blowing. Then she says, we will see you in two weeks at 2:00. So then I had to look her in the eye, say the date and time to confirm what she was talking about. Then she says yeah... I look at her and she's just staring at me. So I ask, can I leave? Or do I have a copay? Which by reading my insurance card I know I do, the other young lady states she's on the phone with my insurance that she will call me later and I can pay over the phone, or I can stay and wait. I went to this location and met with this doctor for the first time. HORRIBLE BEDSIDE MANNER. He walked in and just wanted to get the appointment over with, no time for questions nothing. As a patient who has seen many many specialty clinics and all kinds of doctors and being that i work in the medical field as an MA , I've never experience a bad encounter with the providers or doctors . This clinic when scheduling did not let me know the provider was male which personally don't feel comfortable seeing a male provider for my certain needs and issues i was seeing them for. Once i was checked in and brought back into the room i was told by MA i was due for a pap smear after i stated in my new patient packet i got done already. Doctor Syed Rizvi, came in and did his routine of questions but then he started to push the pap smear again and i declined once again due to i already got them done and can show them the results if they need them but he disregard everything i said and just said okay will send labs and do another US of my pelvis which is insane because i just told him twice that i already got one done and went over the result with him! He didnt listen to my concerns and just spoke with me for 5 mins and walked out and i was left confused and made felt unheard. I am Diabetic type 1 so good thing i have the knowledge that i have and work in a primary clinic to see that this doctor ordered me a glucose fasting test which means i would need to drink this glucose drink which is BUTTLOADED with sugar would've have spiked my blood sugar insanely and put me in the ER!!! I did mentioned this in my new patient packet and to the MA so there was no excuse for this "incident" just so unprofessional!! i would never be coming back to this or will be recommending this place to my clinics patients. read more

Don't let them charge you upfront for a procedure, make sure it goes through your insurance first before paying! This Dr made darn sure I paid $861 up front before having a medical procedure in August. As it turns out, my insurance says I only needed to pay them $215 and now I have to battle for a refund!? The front desk girl was worse. The front desk girl with long hair, and glasses seemed to always give me attitude when I arrived. She was unprofessional constantly talking about other clients and their situations while they weren't around and also went around to the other front desk girls mocking their clients situations such as their insurances or their understanding of how things work there. If I could give zero stars I would. Dr. Perrea is a shame to OBGYN community all around. His lack of compassion & kindness shows as soon as he walks through the door. This office doesn't allow a plus one or your partner to be with you during appointments. (WEIRD) Also you will always wait about an hour after your scheduled appointment time, every single time. You meet your delivery doctor at 36 weeks, if I met the man sooner I would of discontinued my care with the office right away. He is negligent as he disregarded my symptoms. I went to hospital the next day & they all questioned why labs weren't done in office due to all my symptoms which were clear in office but ignored as I was only berated for the weight I've gained during pregnancy which was normal as all pregnant bodies are DIFFERENT & none of the other physicians at this same office has ever brought up to me other than him. I was also told many other horrible things like "you'll walk out of the hospital without your baby" "If you eat another carb your baby will die" & so many other concerning, unprofessional comments as well. He is negligent, unprofessional & simply unkind. He has great physician assistants not sure how they can work with a person / doctor like that but I hope they find a new practice as they are too good for that place. 0/5 STARS I've been waiting weeks for an appointment to schedule a D&C and IUD insertion. I had a referral detailing out what I was going for and reiterated it on the phone to ensure I was going to be set with the right doctor as the one referred to me initially, recently passed. I showed up 30 mins early to my appt and scanned the QR code to get checked in. An hour passes by and I get an email stating "you missed your appt" so I approach the office staff to correct her of the mistake and she tells me I'll be seen shortly... 1.5 hrs of sitting in the office I finally get called back. The medical assistant that "checked me in" was the most incompetent personnel I've ever encountered to date. She asked me what the weight on the scale said because she didn't record it, when I tried to explain my history briefly and reiterate what I was there for she kept cutting me off and fixating on my recent pap smear results. This was frustrating because clearly you're not listening... had no understanding of PCOS and again no attention to detail because it was detailed on my intake form. She kept coming in and out of the room and at the two hour mark decided to tell me that the NP is who I would be seeing today and that they can't discuss anything I requested but I can make another appt to see the dr... apparently the NP figured that out this morning and advised staff to call me and recommend rescheduling but instead NO ONE called me and decided instead to waste 2.5 hrs of my time. They scheduled me for early next week in Oceanside but seeing the awful reviews all around here and there it might not be in my best interest to do so.... I have never been to an office that took less accountability for the actions and mistakes on their part and cared less about their patients times and needs. I was told that I might have to redo my recent imaging despite me having provided that and having done them in December. They believed I scheduled a physical regardless of the paperwork provided to them. Take responsibility for what you do or fail to do for your patients and have the decency to give a shit about your patients. Worst experience ever and would never recommend them. Do yourself a favor and spend the necessary hours on the phone with your insurance demanding to see ANYONE else. I would never trust anyone here to properly operate, let alone have the bed side manner to care for those who keep their lights on. Horrible service. They NEVER answer their phone. They performed surgery on my wife. We were told that if she has any complications to call Dr. Parea immediately. The complications do not warrant an ER visit, but do need her surgeon's attention asap. I've now spend the last 30 minutes trying to call their medical office 6 different times, back to back with no luck. I have been hung up on 3 of the 6 times. The other 3 I was sent to a voicemail. I was pushed to have a series of tests done after I said no, but was assured that my insurance covered it. I then get a bill from GenLab for $400. Ultimately Valley Obgyn tells me it's my fault for signing papers when I walked in saying I was responsible for any additional costs. I DID NOT WANT THE TESTS IN THE FIRST PLACE. The first medical assistant admitted that it had been a mistake and that I wasn't responsible for the charges. She left the office, and another assistant calls and tells me that I have to deal with it. This assistant doesn't even work with this sort of thing in the first place but since it's COVID-19 she's been given other responsibilities remotely. This is a lesson for EVERY SINGLE DOCTORS OFFICE YOU VISIT - DO NOT ACCEPT ANY REQUESTS FOR EXTRA TESTING. DOCTORS MAKE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS OFF OF INSURANCE COMPANIES BY DOING THIS. Dr. Parea is the most unprofessional OBGYN I have ever heard of. If he could get negative stars he would. We will be reporting him to the board. He told my sister(mind you, this was the first time she saw him because she has been seeing a different OB at that office) she was suicidal and she should have never gotten pregnant. She told him she was never suicidal and asked where he heard this and he cut her off and told her if she killed herself then there would be no baby and she's better off. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REACH THEM BY PHONE, and if you can reach them they will make you wait two weeks to find out if you have an infection, AND if you do they don't care that they could tell you over the phone like normal people who give a shit about your HEALTH but they want you to physically come in for swab results. I would give zero stars if I could! This is the worst medical practice I have experienced. I was sent here during my pregnancy through my insurance. When I asked questions she made me feel stupid with her response. She just brushed everything off I said. Each visit was 2+ hours long unnecessarily since the actual doctor patient time was a max of 10 minutes. The nurses were not friendly at all, very rude at times. I was consistently sent to labs or specialist outside of my insurance which resulted in bill battles between the billing business, my insurance, and I. Even after I expressed where I am allowed to go that is covered, I was told "too bad" by the nurses. Not only did I have bad experiences throughout my pregnancy here, but once my baby was born they would not let me bring my newborn to my 6week pp appointment. I have nowhere to take her so she has to come with me. They turned me away saying "it's not their problem I don't have anywhere for my baby to go for the appointment". I could not believe the audacity of the doctor saying that! I 100% do NOT recommend this place to anyone for any reason. They will waste your time and be rude while doing so! read more

If I could give this OB/GYN zero stars I would. I recently moved to California and got approved for insurance about a month ago. I needed to see a gynecologist and this was the only place that could see me until my secondary insurance went into effect. I let the receptionist know why I needed to be seen, she said because of the severity of my situation, I had to wait and be seen by a doctor. I was seen by Dr. Rizvi and he was by far the worst doctor I have ever met. I have stage 4 endometriosis, fully diagnosed. I overheard Dr. Rizvi outside of the room speaking down about women's health issues, telling his colleague in training that if you stop a women's period, her endometriosis will go away and "die off". He was extremely uneducated and disrespectful towards my situation. He told me it was absolutely impossible that I could have adenomyosis since I wasn't an older women and I haven't had any children. He also told me it was impossible to have adenomyosis diagnosed by transvaginal ultrasound. If you google how adenomyosis is diagnosed it reads "diagnosis of adenomyosis begins with clinical suspicion and is confirmed with transvaginal ultrasonography and pelvic magnetic resonance imaging." A gynecologist should know this. He also told me he had absolutely no idea what vaginismus was and to top it all off, he told me endometriosis definitely has a cure. I could go on and on about the uneducated, disrespectful and ignorant comments he made. I was having breakthrough bleeding for almost a month, Dr. Rizvi told me it wasn't breakthrough bleeding and it was just the "end of my period". I was seen on 4/18 and didn't get my period until 4/23. How could breakthrough bleeding be the end of my period when it hadn't even started yet. He told me I didn't have endometriosis, he said it was impossible for it to show up on the colonoscopy I had and he said none of my bowel issues are related to endometriosis. I told him I was having severe rectal bleeding and constipation worsening round my period and he said "you obviously have many internal problems and endometriosis isn't one of them." Please DO NOT make any appointments with this doctor. He is extremely ignorant, uneducated and doesn't respect women's health issues. read more

I wanted to share my experience with this Doctor Perrea. I went to his clinic for two of my pregnancies and I believe he likes to do surgeries just because he makes more money; hospital stay; hospital care; etc. Makes more money than just a simple vaginal birth. I believe this because I ignored his office staff calls to go in for a scheduled surgery a month early; he wanted me to go in the ending of November for a scheduled surgery. Well I said eff no your not. I said to myself I am not going to let him play God with my child again. Decide when he is born. I prayed and let God decide when it was time to give birth. I got my contractions on the 24th of December; right before noon. My baby was born on December 25th at 5:03 am. WITH NO SURGERY ALL NATURAL VAGINAL LIKE ITS SUPPOSED TO BE. As soon as I got contractions I went to the ER. Not Perrea's hospital in Hemet but Rancho springs in Murrieta. They had to take me it was an emergency I had contractions so they had to. I think it's now called something else the hospital. Well when they took me in they asked me who is your doctor? I said doctor Perrea, they said, "oh" I said " what do you mean by that. They said "he's not allowed in this hospital" I asked why even though I was glad because he just wanted to do surgery on me and play God (choose when the child is born) most likely just to bill insurance for more money. PLEASE DO NOT LET THIS MAN DO SURGERY ON YOU! Get second opinions and or wait for your contractions and go to a good hospital. If I would have listened to him he would've ruined my son's natural birth and most likely messed up my body by cutting me open just for his gain! So glad I took a stand and I didn't let him scare me into " oh your baby is like this, you need surgery"! He scared my spouse and my spouse did not want me to do this but I felt in my heart what i felt was right. Pray on it, ask God for guidance! Worked for me! read more

This doctors office deserves negative stars for their overall terrible patient care. My appointment was scheduled right when their office opened however I still waited an hour to be seen. I was so confused for the long wait that I went on Yelp reviews and read that a 1-2 hr wait time is common at this office. The dr saw me for about 10 min for my appointment. The front receptionist scheduled a tel med call to go over my appointment a few weeks later. I waited for the call at the scheduled time and received no call. When I was finally able to reach someone when I called the office they explained that they just schedule a time for a visit follow up but the Dr doesn't always call at the scheduled time. They want you to be available the entire day waiting for the call. I had 2 tel med appointments and the Dr did not call at the scheduled time both times. It is extremely frustrating to deal with this unprofessional office. Please take note of the other negative reviews and save yourself a headache and FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR that values your time!! read more

Please do not go here !!!! Never seen a DR just nurse practitioner . I'm now 5 months pregnant and There telling me I can't be seen anymore because I missed my appointment . I missed one appointment because I received a phone call saying the nurse practitioner has to leave early , second time I reschedule I called that's morning to reschedule because I felt ill I had a bad cough third time I attended my appointment but I brought my toddler with me and they told me they have a strict no visitors policy I was not aware of and because I didn't wear a face mask witch I asked for and they denied . I don't know what one is supposed to do if you don't have child care . My in laws were in vacation I let them know and still couldn't be seen so I asked if I should find a new physician. So call the day after and they told me basically I was fired as a patient and I need to find a new physician because I BROUGHT MY TODDLER , DIDNT WEAR A MASK ( witch I asked for and they refused) AND I SUPPOSEDLY STATED I WAS GOING TO FIND A NEW PHYSICIAN. it took me a month to get threw to the front desk to be able to book a appointment, and it was scheduled a month and half out and the day before my appointment i got a reminder text, then i get called right after that saying there canceling my appointment because they over booked and can't get me in until the end of december or beginning of january which was almost 2 months out. worst customer service i dealt with, mistakes happen but how it was dealt with really sucked considering it was there mess up and they didn't offer any solutions when i really needed to get in. read more

I really wish I could give zero stars. Valley OBGYN doesn't care about you. This place double books appointments so you're waiting a minimum of an hour to be seen for an appointment you already have. There is only one provider and she discredits what your fears are. For example, I had bleeding from a subchorionic hematoma and wanted to opt out of the vaginal ultrasound because of everything I had been told by my doula, my primary care doctor, the ER doctor, and just my own personal feelings about it. The provider got frustrated and not only discredited my feelings but also every other provider I spoke with because apparently she knows all. They ordered lab work and told me they'd be in by Friday after I got them done, I left numerous voicemails so I could hear if everything was okay and no one called me back I had to keep calling until someone finally answered. They then proceeded to tell me they couldn't tell me anything over the phone and that I would need to make an appointment. This is the only provider I've ever heard of doing this, and okay fine I need an appointment, but why did no one tell me this when I was in at first so I could schedule right away just for LAB RESULTS? Finally they say I can do a telemedicine appointment A WEEK OUT for LAB RESULTS, I told them okay I need an exact time because I'm constantly in meetings for work. They told me there is no exact appointment time but just morning 8-12 or 1-4, I said morning so I could know as soon as possible, she proceeded to tell me "okay that's fine this provider will typically call you at the later time". So does this provider just really not know how to manage time, her patients, or really anything at all? Very confused how Valley OB is still up and running. I've never been to such an awful place with horrible service, staff, and overall the provider who I'm supposed to trust for the next 7 months. Now fighting with insurance to switch, this place really shouldn't be open. They don't care about you, your time, or your baby. UPDATE: I had my telephone appointment on November 18th, 2021. The appointment was for me to get a referral to go be seen by perinatology because I'm high risk. Fast forward to December 1st, the referral coordinator hasn't even sent it out.
