Do you chance running out of gas by waiting to you finish with your appointment (Option A) or pop into the nearest gasoline station to fuel up (Option B.) I went with Option B. Because I have this likely unfounded fear of running out of gas, I normally put in gas with I get to half a tank. However, unfortunately, I did not notice that I inched to one-fourth of tank of gas to on empty. The closest gasoline station was HEB Fuel Gas. I am a creature of habit when it comes to getting gas, however, I was in an emergency situation. So, I stopped to pump gasoline, so I would not be stranded along the highway. While the pump was gushing gas into my car, I proceeded to clean my windshield. Gas and windshield cleaning services...score! Immediately, I noticed that the gasoline price per gallon was $3.27, which is a lot lower than I am used to paying. So I quickly filled up and I was on my way. Yes, I made it to my appointment on time with time to spare.

They also have a full coffee bar on tap that offers a variety of flavors along with a creamer station, they have a frozen drinks slushie station, and a full kitchen offering pizzas, subs, tacos and more. I guess you can say I've been sheltered because I was amazed to see all of this. And to make it even better, the prices are reasonable and not marked up like other gas station prices. This is a Murphy in the north suburbs of Austin, and we stayed in Cedar Park a couple of times because of the cheap hotel prices for Austin, and this became our go-to gas station. We found it because I always end up looking up Murphy and that's where I always fill up, because it's usually 10 cents or even 50 cents cheaper than local prices, and this one is no different. I don't like their association with Walmart but we're poor and shop at Walmart, what can I say.

This store is arranged in standard QuikTrip fashion. Depending on which side you enter you can choose fountain drinks or coffee drinks on tap on the immediate wall. There is fresh food in an open refrigerated section and a variety of hot foods. There is also a kitchen with a kiosk screen from which ordering can take place. There are fresh donuts and related pastries in the morning, which are discounted at night. Like other convenience stores you can find candy and generic sundries and groceries. I've just come in for the drinks. The fountain drinks have the right carbonation. I also like that they offer coffee on tap; it's unique. Both the cold brews are tasty, as well as the hot coffee offerings. And, if you want to sweeten your coffee, they tend to have 6-10 flavored creamers available for this use. And of course, they have the good personal service other convenience stores don't. You are greeted and thanked. Also, one person working can handle checking out people from both sides of the register.
