It may not look like much on the outside but rest assured there's plenty to appreciate. That's high praise for a place not named Buc'ees. There is so much to process here. There is most of the basic things that come with rest stops with snacks, drinks, and (fairly clean) bathrooms. However, there's so much more: full fledged hot food restaurant serving legit Cajun specialties, souvenirs galore, multiple gas station pumps, and Tesla superchargers. The restaurant has boudin balls and cracklins like much of the surrounding area, but they've also got a few fabulous items worth getting. They close in the early evening and are not open on Sundays. During the late night hours, the hot foods become super limited with junk food pizza and hot dogs. And best of all? They're open 24 hours.

This one is definitely not one of the cleanest I've experienced in my travels but my agenda was to fuel up and get back on the interstate as quick as possible - the fumes of the spilled diesel was pretty strong and the entire big rig fuel island was dirty and most of the amenities were absent or empty (no paper towels, no hand sanitizer the windshield washer buckets were dirty and mostly empty). If I made this trip again I'd probably pick another place to fuel up and avoid this place altogether, the entrance was fairly easy access but the traffic on the front road was pretty frustrating when I went to exit. I only interacted with the staff at the fuel counter they got the job done but was less than enthusiastic to say the least...

Well, As we were…read moredriving home for Gulf Shores Alabama, we stopped for some subway in Baton Rouge. Anyway, about 30-40 minutes later a member of our car informed me, they really gotta go. And pulling over on the side of the highway wasn't gonna work ( unless you had a trash bag and 5 gallon bucket) - if you know what I mean. Anyway, this was the first Gas station we could get to in order to avoid an accident. Anyway, upon pulling up, I felt bad. Because on the outside it looked like they'd have to deal with dirty "facilities". After sometime, waiting... you know... they walk out the door all smiles and relieved. Not that they stomach didn't still bother them, but that 1) no accidents. 2) the "facilities" were super clean and they had high quality TP in charmin ultra! Anyway, folks inside were nice and it was connected to a small casino. Moral of the story, don't judge a book my the cover and if you need clean restroom outside Texas where buc'ees isn't available, well this is worth a shot.
