The view from the room we stayed in was beautiful right on the outer wall of Orvieto. If arriving by train don't feel the need to get a rental car. You can for sure get by without a car in this town. The finicular is in the same parking lot as the train station. When you do get a car, if staying in Orvieto, Sabrina offers free parking. Wish we stayed during the Umbria Jazz fest but all in all Orvieto was a terrific, laid back, safe town to be immersed in excellent food, awesome views and an easy visit. Ripa Medici is a great Bed and breakfast to stay at. One note about the beds...my husband is 6 feet and he was a bit tall for the bed. As for me, I wished I brought my own pillow. We shall return one day for sure I hope.

Everything we needed to see was in walking distance. Sabrina was extremely helpful in navigating Orvieto & suggesting spots we shouldn't miss. She also provided a delicious breakfast for us. Fresh homemade bread, fruit, pastries, eggs & cappuccino. If we are lucky enough to make it back, we will definitely stay here again.

Maybe it is our American palette, but it is what it is. We skipped the appetizer because nothing on the menu appealed to us at the time, however, we noticed that they served another table a delicious looking appetizer that was not on our menus. I guess it pays to be a local. Seems foolish not to have prosciutto and melon listed if you are going to make it upon request though. I know our table definitely would have ordered that. All in all, a nice visit and we would stop in again if we were in Orvieto.

BEWARE: This was the worse experience of our entire month's vacation…read more Arrived to find nobody at B& B and fortunately saw the cleaning lady leaving the facility. Got in, we were given a key and she said owner would be back next day for breakfast and to get paid. The B&B is about a mile WALK from parking lot. When we left to retrieve our luggage the exterior door had a defective lock so we were afraid to leave and risk not being able to re enter. We chose to leave instead of hauling our luggage for one mile to discover that we could not get back into the building. Our other concern was that if we went out in the evening we would not be able to get back into a poorly lite building totally isolated with nobody overseeing the facility. We attempted to call the owner but got no response. This owner is obviously desperate for money and charged us for one night stay even though we left after an hour when discovering the situation. Worst experience ever!!!!!!

The room was clean, comfy, lots of windows and big bathroom. We got lots of towels, slippers and bath supplies. He also put dry chairs out for us since it rained for our breakfast on the patio. His partner brought us cappuccinos to our room. Well worth the stay and the best customer service we've experienced so far. Plus he was nice to our puppy!

Located just outside one of the entry ways into Orvieto with stunning views over the valley, this newer B&B is an incredible value for what you get. We we had a room that would have been perfect for a family but there were only two of us. There was one room with two double beds connected to another room with a huge king bed. Simple decor but elegant at the same time. Nice big bathroom, refrigerator in the room and a really nice balcony off one of the bedrooms. The outside area is where this place really shines! The view from the very large patio with tables and some nice wicker furnishings called to us at the end of a long day exploring. We would open up a bottle of wine and just gaze at the view. A very nice breakfast including eggs, cake, sereal, cake, fruit, cake, juice, cake and coffee and an assortment of teas. And did I mention cake? Seriously, they had about 6 different cakes/pies/pastries each morning! The proprietors live here as well and they aim to please. We didn't want to leave this place and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful view of Orvieto, quiet, quaint and the staff is amazing. We had a wonderful dinner with wine pairing and got a lot of great advice on wineries and restaurants throughout area. Love the Staff, made us feel like part of the Family!!!

The breakfasts and dinners were fantastic, the staff were most friendly and helpful and the grounds, just walking around was like being in a fantasy world. So quiet. And very near Orvieto which is a fascinating ancient village on top of a bluff. You will want to rent a car so that you can get around easily. There is lots to see in the nearby villages, or just hike from the Agriturismo.
