There's nowhere for these kids to hang out and sit. It's in the middle of an old trailer park lot, full of dirt and weeds. Their teachers are very vocal about their political stance and treat the students poorly if they don't support the same political ideology. These children are only kids for a small period of time in their life and they have nothing nice to entertain them when they have a break from the classroom.

She absolutely loves her teacher, as do we all, and shows visible glee in doing her assignments. Over the years I've seen her confidence blossom by leaps and bounds. The assignments are fun meaningful and often engage the family. Working on these science, reading, and math projects on a regular basis has been a definite bonding experience for us. I've been on a couple field trips and the kids in Krystal's class seem really nice and friendly. The parents are very open, volunteer and participate in many of the extracurricular fundraisers and activities. I feel a sense of community that we are all very invested in.
