Quedaron en instalarlas este lunes pasado. Ese día, luego de remover la puerta vieja que tenía, comienzan a instalar la nueva y luego de poner los pases y una de las puertas se dan cuenta que la segunda puerta está defectuosa y no encaja. Las puertas viejas yo no se pueden poner, y me dejan con un boquete en la casa donde va la otra puerta, pero me dicen que vienen mañana temprano con la puerta nueva para instalarla. Miren, yo entiendo que los errores pasan, y aunque un producto tan caro como este debió haber sido inspeccionado por defectos antes de enviarlo eso no fue lo que me molestó. Lo que me molestó es que me dijeron para el martes, yo saco el tiempo para estar en el apartamento y poder recibirlos. No me llaman, yo llamo, me dicen que llame mas tarde que me dan respuesta, llamo más tarde me dicen que para el miércoles por la mañana. Saco el miércoles por la mañana para recibirlos, no llegan, llamo me dicen que verifican y me devuelven la llamada, no lo hacen, llamo me dicen que para el jueves por la tarde. Les dejo saber que me parece poco profesional que sigan posponiendo sin coordinar responsablemente. Me dicen que es que tienen muchos trabajos que tienen que hacer. Le digo, mire con todo su respeto ustedes cometieron un error, me dejaron la instalación a mitad y tengo un boquete en la casa a la intemperie donde va esa puerta, tienen que responsabilizarse y hacerme hueco o añadirme al final del día. Me dicen pues el jueves a la 1pm. Saco la tarde de jueves para recibirlos. Llamo por la mañana me dicen que si, vienen por la tarde y me van a llamar. ¿Ustedes pueden creer que me llaman ahora para decirme que NO vienen? ¡Me preguntan ahora que si puede ser mañana viernes! Esto es inaceptable, San Miguel Windows and Exports comete un error, te deja la instalación a mitad con un boquete en tu casa a la intemperie, y va una semana y todavía no han venido a arreglarlo y sellar la casa. En el mundo profesional uno pone un día y hora, y llega ese día y a esa hora, si uno hace un trabajo y comete un error, uno toma responsabilidad y lo atiende prontamente para que quede bien el trabajo. ¡Pésimo servicio!

I cannot rave enough about Keith Berry's service. I returned to a home after 30 years of tropical weathering, and thought all sliders were hopeless. He restored them all to as new condition, even custom built one screen door. He also re-screened the entire house, which is made of screens, all within the same day! A week later, he also responded quickly to a slight additional need and did a beautiful job. In St. Thomas, if you need screen or door repairs, look no further than Keith Berry.

When we moved into our new home in USVI the screen doors were in shambles or missing. To make matters worse the hubby has an OCD impulse to "air out the house" constantly and you just can't do that here, without inviting the mosquitos in. This is where Berry's Screening comes in. They are a mobile screening service that will do all repair work at your home and if they have to do a custom screen, they will take measurements for you and return to install it. So, no measuring yourself and getting blamed for your new screen not fitting. This really is the definition of hassle free. The repair guy, first of all showed up on time, which is so rare here on this island, no one does that. He repaired one screen door in 15 minutes and took measurements for the others to do custom work at the shop. He was nice and told me that he would be by later on that day to install them, and I said in my mind "yea so that means tomorrow" which is what a lot of services do out here. But in under 2 hours he returned and installed everything in 15 minutes. This process was so easy, I was a little baffled. Being fast, efficient, and following through with what you say, isn't widely practiced on this island. B.S and excuses are commonplace, so this experience was refreshing! Pricing isn't bad, our patio doors are large ( see pictures) a re-screening is $50 and a total replacement is $280. This includes labor. Our screen doors to our patio are fabulous and work so well in having cut off those pesky mosquitos from this happy hour bar!
