We were there with our family and had been looking forward to a lovely, relaxed evening with good Italian food. Sadly, our expectations were disappointed in every respect.
The food was, unfortunately, far from impressive and failed to convince us in both quality and taste. Even more disappointing, however, was the way we were treated as guests. The service was extremely unfriendly, and the warmth and hospitality one would normally expect in Italy were sadly nowhere to be found.
What shocked us most was the behaviour of one of the waiters, whose tone towards us was at times so disrespectful and insulting that we genuinely felt uncomfortable and embarrassed in front of our family.
A restaurant visit should be a pleasant experience, especially when you are travelling with your family. Unfortunately, this evening left us with little more than a very bitter aftertaste. Without a doubt, this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we have ever had.
It's a real shame, because in Forte dei Marmi we expected much more -- good food, genuine Italian hospitality, and above all, a basic level of respect towards guests.
