Firstly because of the staff. They are good natured, funny and completely unflappable. I can throw any office/computer/printing job at them and they do it with ease and speed. I always seem to pay less than I would have imagined the cost to be. The business is always full. There are art students getting their supplies of Windsor & Eton, or Daler & Rowney, freelance designers and artists getting images printed, architects getting their blueprints copied, and myself running around in a flap about something that I can't do, so they will have to do it for me. They know me well here, I can assure you.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at the Mailbox in Surbiton today. I went in to print…read morefour documents that contained both writing and images. It was critical that the images were clear and the print quality consistent, as the documents were to be framed side by side. I chose a heavy stock paper and requested duplicate copies. Initially, one attendee assisted me but encountered issues with the printer. They managed to print two documents but suggested we switch to another printer due to the ongoing problems. The second attendee then took over and printed three test samples on the other printer, trying different settings that resulted in varying quality. After reviewing these samples, I agreed on one of the samples and clarified that I needed the rest printed as duplicates, with consistent quality. Instead of proceeding with this request, the second attendee wanted me to accept the test samples, which were not duplicates of the four documents but rather a mix--three of one, two of another, and one of the next--none meeting the required consistency. When I explained that this wouldn't work, as I needed identical duplicates, he interrupted me before I could finish my sentence. He bellowed at me to "calm down and be nice" in front of a crowded and busy store. His response was unwarranted, unprofessional, and deeply embarrassing. I was calm and polite, simply explaining what I needed. It felt like his reaction was based on harmful assumptions about me, as if being a Black woman automatically made me "angry." To make matters worse, after yelling at me, he turned to the first attendee and told them to deal with me, speaking as if I wasn't even there. His hostile and dismissive attitude made the entire experience unacceptable and unpleasant to say the least. He made no effort to understand my needs or provide adequate customer service. I preferred the quality of the first 2 documents printed on the problematic printer. It appeared the the stock was too heavy and if that was the case he could have suggested a lesser quality stock. in addition I felt like he was coercing me into accepting inconsistent and poor-quality prints to avoid wasting paper and ink. Customers should not be expected to accept sample prints if they do not meet the required quality. I strongly advise against using this Mailbox location. The customer service was appalling, and the behavior of the staff was both unprofessional and discriminatory. If you need printing services, I recommend the Kingston branch, where the staff offer much better service and respect for their customers.

This shop, which is next door to the Post Office, does what the Post Office should do but better!…read more Basically you can send anything there and they use Royal Mail and FedEx and UPS and they'll pack it for you as well. The staff all seem very knowledgeable and friendly and they also do printing. Great for handling those awkward jobs where the book of stamps in the drawer just won't do.

I used www.jaggerprint.co.uk at the beginning of the month to enlarge a photograph up to A1 mounted…read moreonto foam board and we were very pleased with the service. Initially we called around and they offered us a fair quote so we thought we'd give them a go. When we called them back they were very helpful, discussed the job and offered us various options - like the thickness of the mount board for example. They don't have an online ordering facility but they gave us an email address to use to upload the file and we used something like Mailbigfile.com to do it. Then they telephoned us back several times to update us on the progress and then to let us know that it was ready for collection. The print quality was excellent, exactly like the photograph, full of lustre, rich deep colours with a matt finish to be less reflective. It had been mounted to the board perfectly. We paid at the counter after inspecting the print, which is nicer than having to pay in advance every time you order online. They wrapped it bubble wrap, and the whole job was completed within about 3 hours from start to finish. I can recommend these printers.
