We have an old Viking range/oven and the ovens were not reaching the requested temperature by a lot. I did not hire V-Tech as my repair vendor, and here is why. I am on a tight budget. So I repaired about 3 of the ongoing problems with my refrigerator and was sure I would be able to figure out the 4th problem which was new. But it turns out the 4th was elusive, no repair manual or online video or otherwise could explain why MY freezer wouldn't freeze but my refrigerator would get cold. Plenty of other models, but not mine. So I made an extensive list of repair companies, the manufacturer recommended repair people, and all that. And I happened to call V-tech first. Victor took my call and listened to all of the work I had done already, and over the phone he was able to give me very rough price estimates over the phone of best case and worst case scenario. Best case it saved me a few hundred dollars over buying a new one. Worst case I would be spending several times more to repair it than just to buy a new one. They advised me to hire an appliance repair and offered suggestions. After an experience with another service company that left us feeling not quite right, I called the next on the list, which was V-Tech. Victor was helpful from the start. He explained his rates, which included a service fee initially, but that would be put towards the cost if you chose to move forward with him. How refreshing to hear that. In addition, when I described the issues and shared photos, he could technically diagnose the problem and offer a quote range over the phone. Victor visited my home twice regarding my washing machine. At first he wasn't sure if my machine needed repair, and gave me some tips on how to get my machine to perform correctly (for example, loading it properly).
