But, it is a lot to pay to have a pie that is mostly crust and very little toppings. Service was meh. Drinks were never refilled. As a medical employee in oncology, it is disappointing to walk into an establishment these days with mandates in place to see only a couple of employees wearing masks. This is solid pizza with top notch ingredients. And they gave the 3 year old in our party some pizza dough to play with - great idea. I'm a purist when it comes to pizza. Sauce, cheese, maybe some basil, that's usually all I need. We tried the Margherita and the Napoli and gotta say that the Margherita was our favorite. A slice of the Carnivora from one of our party member's pies was pretty good too, but I like to say with the tried and true (some may call boring) cheese pizza. We decided to try vpizza last night. I forgot to take a picture of my Memphis weekly special pizza and our mouse though. The Memphis special I added some pineapple to on one half to see how it enhanced it and honestly tasted like it should have pineapple to balance it out, but might just be me! My partner really enjoyed the classic margherita with prosciutto added to it though. The mousse was too sweet for me but my partner enjoyed. It did take very long for our two pizzas too as a heads up. One hour from placing until ready, but it does tell you that in checkout. Mostly the reason this was given 3 stars was the horrific sight of how non hygienic they were. Most, if not all the staff, were not wearing gloves to handle the food but the most horrific part was someone who looked like a manager, touched our pizza and topping after the oven with her bare hands. She picked up our pizza with her hands to transfer to the box, wiped her hands on her BUTT, then grabbed something else to sprinkle on top, then touched the computer screen next to her, and then placed our prosciutto on top of the pizza. All with her bare hands, touching dirty things and never washing in between. I was mortified, especially as I have worked in the industry for 12 years now and no kitchen I have worked in handles food like that. Sad as this place is so highly raved about. We loved the pizza got the classic margarita and a second classic margarita with half sausage and half pepperoni. First off, it's wood fired so expect a little char but the crust is still soft and delicious. The real star of the pies was the sauce. The kids loved it so much they said they were going to eat more pizza instead of dessert We were big fans of Tre Forni near SouthPoint and were missing the pies similar to theirs and well V's hit the mark. They do curbside pickups and have online ordering, plenty of seating indoors, and some small 2 person tables outside. Parking is no issue. Chris the owner was phenomenal he double checked the order and it wasn't perfect so he remade the pies. They have only been open a few weeks so completely expect them to get into full rhythm soon enough. We will be back soon! read more

Needed navigation to get there -- sure, it's in the Brier Creek region but away from most of the action and off in its own corner. But the altitude of its geography should have been higher, because the food and drinks both rose above the rest of the neighborhood. Using only all natural ingredients that nonna would approve, these pies are cooked in a brick oven, using a wood-burning fire, at 900 degrees (?!!) -- that's the claim, i didn't measure it... San Marzano tomatoes, bufala mozzerella, magnifico!! And another, less-authentic-but-still-not-to-be-missed entry: the rosemary, lemon and olive oil wings. With the stand-out pizza as the main attraction, ordering wings as an appetizer may perfectly capture the need/want dichotomy -- you don't need them, but you'll really, really want them... And finally, if you want to eat at the restaurant (and yes, you should, really the best way to sample that crust when it's truly fresh out of the oven), then dine at Flask, the craft cocktail bar that adjoins the pizza shop. It's casual, family friendly and a whole lot better than than the fluorescent-lit, generic-table-strewn main dining area (V, you gotta do better if you want people to have the dine-in experience). I will skip the the details regarding that visit and I will simply chalk it up to a bad day... It happens. My review has been updated to 5 stars mainly because of the timely, professional and willingness of their management to make this right. It is after 9:00 PM on a Saturday and Ryan, a member of management, just contacted me to make it right. His lightening fast contact through messaging literally minutes after I posted REALLY impressed! They did forget one topping but once they were informed, it was corrected immediately. My family and I were excited that Raleigh had a new pizza place- especially since this chain has gotten such high reviews! Frankly, it was okay, but there was not much to write home about. Allow me share some of the positives. The ingredients are good quality and fresh. We ordered a Caprese plate, Quattro Formaggi pizza, a Pizza Margherita, and a Buffalo Chicken pizza. And, true to form, this restaurant does use 00 flour (it has less gluten in it and is the standard in Europe). This makes a less dense and less chewy pizza crust. The buffala mozzarella, gorgonzola, and shaved Parmigiana Reggiano on the pies were higher quality than I have had elsewhere. The basil was also fresh. Happily, they have huge containers of oregano, parmigiana cheese, and red pepper on the tables. Added bonus, if you enjoy cocktails, there is a cocktail bar that shares the building, my old fashioned from the bar was GREAT. Otherwise, V Pizza carries a selection of canned beers and wines. Also, the owner or manager did visit everyone's table. Some negatives: The tomatoes in my salad were not quite ripe and therefore, not very flavorful. However, the mozzarella, basil, and FANTASTIC balsamic vinegar almost made up for the what should have been in season and not mealy tomatoes. My kids' pizza- Buffalo Chicken, had a mediocre flavor, and it looked like canned chicken or ground chicken was used to top it. The servers were not easily identifiable as they were not wearing a uniform or company shirt of any kind. Our pizzas were good- just not great. Our expectations may just have been too high based on the 4+ star reviews on yelp. read more

Stumbled upon this place recently and was very happy that we did. We eat in Brier Creek a lot but had no idea this place was here. There isn't really a sign and it's tucked away across the street from Ale House. The pizza is fantastic. My husband is from the south Jersey Shore so we are always looking for great pizza. He actually did an internet search otherwise not sure we would have known about this place. Servers were friendly and accommodating. I also was thrilled to find a new gelato place. They serve wonderful gelato. Would have given this place 5 Stars except wasn't happy about size of pizza. They only offer one size. One pizza wasn't enough to feed 2 adults & 1 tween but 2 pizzas would have been way too much. Our daughter likes just plain cheese pizza so wherever we go she gets a smaller one just for her. Yet they didn't offer or have a smaller option. I guess they do have the smaller option at lunchtime only. She just misses the cutoff for the child menu. But why wouldn't you serve a smaller option for dinner. I think this place is missing out on more revenue when they could be making more money if they offered another a smaller size. Besides young adults, Women can't eat an entire pizza by themselves but I know friends would come here for dinner if they could get more of a personal size made for one. Even though we loved the pizza Unfortunately not sure we could come back because we would always have the same issue for our family of 3. Two pizzas too much but one not enough. Ok so here goes. The atmosphere is wonderful but the food is just ok. The Margarita pizza had very little flavor. Certain parts of the pizza was wet and not cooked enough. Cheese came right off. They truly need to work on the sauce and flavor palette. I would go for drinks and atmosphere only at this point. We also ordered wings which once again fell flat on flavor. This was my first time visiting and I was indeed in need of pizza. V did not disappoint. I ordered the Flyin Hawaiian and it performed a luau on my taste buds. The vibe is nice with a lounge for your cocktail needs attached to the place, called Flask. The wings were good, ask for them to be made with Extra Love if you want them crispy. Who gives 5 stars to a pizza place that messes up their order and causes them to have to come BACK to get it right? I do. We became fans of the Cary V location when we happened upon it last year. It.is.delicious. So how excited were we when a location opened up in Brier Creek, a mere 10 minutes from us? Very. There goes the takeout budget. Ordered for the first time tonight, and happily drove to pick up a delicious pie. I didn't check it until I got to the car (rookie mistake) and it was dark, so I couldn't really see. Got home, and turns out, the prosciutto was missing. A veggie pizza? For three teenagers? Nope. Sad face. Stopped the fam from digging into it while I figured out a solution (no small feat - it smelled delicious!). I called and asked for a manager, feeling kind of Karen-y, but my complaint was legit, so I was comfortable with that. Manager comes online and I explain the predicament, to which he responds: "Ah, the prosciutto! We tried to catch you before you left!" They made it right, and the second pie was equally as epic.
