He showed us pictures of some of his recent work and we were sold. Although they were busy, we got on their schedule quickly. Tommy, the crew lead, was absolutely amazing. His team had a work ethic that you rarely witness. Their attention to detail was superb. Even after a couple of months, I walk into the redone rooms and just smile. They laid paper on all the floors, the encapsulated the entire home with plastic and made sure that the work area was prepared. I found Handy Man Hunter and gave them a call. They went to her house and called me and said it was 85 degrees in her house. They finished the doors and started looking at her thermostat and after troubleshooting, found a weak circuit breaker but could not fix it. They called one of their friends whom is an HVAC guy and he would be out first thing in the morning. It was supposed to be 90 degrees the next day and they went to lowes and bought a portable AC unit and put it in the lady's room. They did not have to do that but they did. While he may be an "adequate" painter, don't hire him if you need textured ceiling touch up,…read moreextensive sheetrock finishing, or any finish trim repaired or replaced. I was assured several times that he was "skilled" and even "had the machine" to repair textured ceiling. A lie - my ceilings look awful. I assumed they had a texture sprayer but it was all dabbed on with either a brush or roller. I was assured that he could install and finish sheetrock. If I had to rate his job 1 - 5 I couldn't give him higher than a 2. Lots of very amateurish finish. I didn't even think to ask if he could replace the trim that was removed. He doesn't know what a miter cut is - I have at least 11 joints that look terrible. My advice would be to maybe consider him if paint is all you need, avoid him if you need any more than that. It's a nightmare the things I have to go back and have repaired.
