I called about a doordash order that was taking long without saying anything about having been…read moreprepared. I asked if the order was ready and if doordash was sending a driver to pick it up and deliver it. The man on the phone sounded very confused and kept insisting I had to come and pick it up. I said it was a delivery order to my house and that a driver is supposed to come take it to my home. He proceeded to say "give me a moment" and then hung up on me. I waited a couple of minutes to see if the doordash order status would update. When it stayed on "preparing order" after five minutes, I called again asking for clarification wondering if there was an issue or something. The same man answered, sounding annoyed and audibly sighing before insisting I needed to come pick the order up. I told him I couldn't, and asked if he needed to confirm that the order was ready with doordash. He then began loudly saying "thank you have a nice day" over and over again, and then abruptly hung up. Ten minutes later the order came (albeit very delayed), and two people stood outside my door repeatedly calling my phone and ringing the doorbell, despite it being a drop off order. They said it said to meet at my door. I never choose the meet at my door option because I have two cats that will bolt out the front door if I have to stand there and speak to someone. I do not know who manages this Bevmo, and frankly, I fear that if I call back, the same rude employee will simply hang up on me. This is unacceptable behavior from Bevmo. I thought employees answering calls needed to be educated and respectful. Not rude and dismissive because they're too misunderstanding of doordash. This is the last time I order anything from this store that can't even handle a simple order for ice cream on time. Do better, Bevmo. Nobody wants to call the store unless necessary, and nobody wants to be met with a rude old geezer with zero understanding of delivery services. Seriously. "We don't buy for particular price points, but we like to sell wines that we enjoy, no matter the price." I bought a mixed case, and I was hooked. Every few months I would stop by, and buy a mixed case. I learned to ask, How much of this is available? If I liked it, I would call and reserve a case. Today, I stopped by to pick up a mixed case for the holidays. I had a photo on my phone of some bottles I had bought during a previous visit, hoping to buy more. I asked someone, Are any of these still available? His response, "Yes, No, Yes, and Yes." And before I could ask where they were, he said " Look out behind you. We're loading new inventory. Can you please get out of the way? " So I got out of the way. There were 2 or 3 people delivering wine, and a few more stocking and organizing. But there were no other customers in the store. Nobody bothered to ask me, "Can I help you?" I've never felt so invisible in my entire life. I wandered through the aisles, found a few bottles, paid for them, and left. I know the holidays are a busy time, but this was a Wed morning, about 10AM. And this is the last time I will shop there.

I love how they even have some of the harder to find stuff so easily accessible and at a reasonable price point. Their employees are always so friendly and knowledgeable about everything and are always so great with suggestions on what to get. He saw the penny and said "sorry I can't take this. They stopped letting us take pennies." Um, what? Okay no big deal, he'll probably just let it slide cause it's only ONE cent. No. He stood there waiting for us to give him more money like we didn't just give him the total rung up. He said "I can take a nickel if you have that." Why, so you can charge us more than the actual price? Just for reference, no, we didn't have a nickel and we're not taking a bunch of coins, hence the exact change. I worked retail when they discontinued making pennies so in this case, I just let it go cause it's pocket lint at this point. He went as far as to call the manager (with an annoyed look on his face like we're the problem). We decided not to buy it because we're not waiting around for a manager to discuss something as small as a penny. What an absolutely ridiculous policy, do better. Mind you, they could just charge it so it comes out to $10 even but it makes me feel like they add the penny so you have to pay more.
