I wish I could put a zero star review. I drove 45 minutes to this location because I changed my address and needed to pick up an important package that had been delivered to my previous address. I confirmed my package for a pickup early in the morning to assure that it was still at this facility. When I arrived, the workers spent 10 minutes trying to find it to no avail and told me the driver took it for a redelivery to my old address. I now have to wait an hour and a half for the driver to return to the office. These idiots didn't read the notification that I was picking up, and sent it out for delivery instead. They told me it was my own fault and that I "definitely requested delivery, not pickup." Your own notification system says otherwise... #illiterate #incompetent read more

lives in our home for over 23 years and have had problems with the United States Postal Service since day one package is not being delivered packages being left below. The mailbox package is being left in the middle of the driveway. Postal Service almost hitting the well head yesterday the Postal Service decided to come to my home and leave my mail sitting in the rain documents at that and of course I have taken action and called filed formal complaints. I have called and spoke to managers and nothing seems to get done. I don't mail packages and was very impressed with the counter help. I think the positivity of this individual, made everyone there a bit better then when they first came in. All were impressed. I especially needed much help after doing several wrong steps in preparing my package for outward go. I was actually inspired. A rarity in these days. Please keep your staff...they are excellent! I think the Pinckney USPS is a treasure. When you go to that post office, the people are friendly and helpful. It is smaller so if there is a line, the wait may be a bit longer. But even during December the wait isn't too long. I also want to do a shout out to the mail carrier for my neighborhood. She does a great job and she always has a friendly wave when I'm outside. read more

I wish I could leave them.as many negative stars as the number of hours I have had to spend dealing with them regarding stolen packages from my PO Box with zero resolution. I've had my box there for six and a half years, and the last two years have been nothing but trouble. Customer service from a select few at the desk is terrible. They cannot properly deliver mail to boxes. They cannot properly deliver packages to boxes or parcel lockers. Items are conveniently marked as delivered, so you cannot recoup lost funds for items you've paid for but never received. Also, conveniently, the post office will not reimburse for items stolen by the post office's help. This location facilitates mail theft by their negligence and then tells you, "Everyone makes mistakes," and then accuses you of collecting the package and "forgetting." No one should have to pay that much money for a PO Box only to not be able to trust having anything sent there. Do yourself a favor and get a mailbox with UPS instead. read more

Our normal delivery lady usually does a great job, but whenever she is off and a substitute fills in we lose packages. Just happened for a 7th time in the last two years. Funny thing is our mail boxes are spread far apart, we are on a private road, and have zero crime. It shows the small package worth $70 was delivered but it wasn't. I couldn't get through by calling the Pinckney USPS so I went in to discuss. I was very nice in explaining how I didn't get the package and was pretty much told oh well or i need to contact the sender. How is it the senders fault? I paid to have USPS deliver it and they failed for a 7th time. Luckily I've been blessed and money isn't an issue so from now on I will pay more and require senders to send their product by UPS or Fedex as I've NEVER had an issue with them. read more

Consistently getting notifications that my packages have been delivered, only to have no package delivered. It might show up in a few days, it might not. When you call or go down there in person you might be greeted by someone who can help, or you might feel like you have terribly inconvenienced someone who had far better things to do than help you find your missing package. We have mail missing on a regular basis and apparently this is just how it works in this town. Maybe I'll get a PO box down at the Hamburg post office because I wind up driving down there to send out packages anyway since they seem to be able to do it with fewer problems. read more

Service is terrible. Two packages scheduled to be delivered today. Got an alert on the tracking page that they were unable to reach the destination to deliver the package. The problem is I was sitting in my front room watching the driveway and the road and traffic had no problem going down the road. They absolutely could deliver the package and did not. That is much different than being unable to deliver a package. read more

NEGATIVE 100 STARS - worst customer service I've ever had. No apologies for the inconvenience just blatant its our policy. Its our policy - my rear end!!!! I didn't check my mailbox for 1 week and they removed all my mail, taking it back to the post office. When I called to find out why, was told my mail had been piling up so it was removed to be sent back but luckily they had not sent it back. I explained that I was injured and had been in the hospital. However, I have taken vacations that were longer and never had a problem previously. I asked if it was a new person. Nope, that's just their policy. Hmmm, I've lived here in the same location for over 4 years and have never had this problem. However, I have had other issues with packages not arriving on time or when the sender states I should have received. I've had friends and family say things such as, "you just got that, I mailed it a week ago." Which I chaulked up to them being busy but the more and more I talk to others about this issue, the more I find this to be a pattern, not random acts due to being over worked. I really don't get much mail except for junk mail. I've asked to have it stopped, even filled out the form but I still get it, in doubles. When I inquire as to why it continues, was told well we can't stop it all. If it has your address listed we don't know that is junk mail. Come on!!! They never apologize or accept responsibility. Enough is enough already! LORD, I pray Pinckney can get postal workers that actually want to work and have ethics. read more

Pinckney Post Office is the worse post office I've ever had to deal with. I had 4 packages from Amazon "delivered" on Sunday Oct. 27 at 2:07. I never received any packages. I thought maybe perhaps they delivered to a neighbor. I haven't had anything from any neighbor appear. I called Monday morning shortly after they opened at 9:30am. The phone just rang and rang. Nobody ever answered. I continuously tried getting through for the next hour. Still nobody answered. Finally someone answered very abruptly. I was trying to explain to this customer service rep what happened and she cut me off in the middle and asked for the tracking number. She put me on hold for 11:45 minutes. I would've hung up but fearful of going through the same thing. She came back on the line and said the computer was down and she took my name and number and said she'd have the carrier look into this. It is 3:30 in the afternoon and still haven't heard anything. I tried calling again with the same outcome. Only this time after I let it ring for 5 minutes it ended up hanging up on me. I'm very disappointed in the post office and how unhelpful they have been!!! read more

In the two years I've lived in this delivery area, I have had constant problems. I am signed up for the delivery digest, so I know what is supposed to be delivered each day. I'm also signed up to receive tracking updates on packages being delivered to my address. I've lost count of the number of times I have a package out for delivery and it never shows up. Sometimes they will mark the location as not accessible, and sometimes they don't update the tracking at all. They've marked my house as not accessible on a sunny, dry day with temps in the 60s, so there was clearly no reason my house was not accessible. Not only do they not always deliver packages, but sometimes they won't even stop at my mailbox. I've had outgoing mail in my mailbox, with the flag up, regular mail as well as a package "out for delivery" and they never even drove past my house. But they marked my house as "not accessible". I'd love to just not do my job and put the blame on someone else. Such laziness. read more
