The closest used bookstore to my knowledge, has always been in Corpus;, and as much as we love…read moregoing to Corpus, nothing beats, going to The Novel Blend bookstore situated in the Heart of downtown Kingsville. I try to visit as often as possible but I definitely visit 3 to 4 times a month. They have best sellers as well as cookbooks, biographies, autobiographies, self help books, historical books, almanacs, not to mention countless other miscellaneous items. Any genre you can think of, they most likely have it, and if they don't, I'm certain they will find a way to get it.I cannot stress how affordable all these books are. I'm a David Baldacci fan and I don't mind paying full price for his books, but if I can find one with zero imperfections to the jacket or the spine or anything on the pages and it's five dollars for a new release you better believe I'm going to take my business to the Novel Blend bookstore. It also doesn't hurt that it's less than a quarter of a mile away from my house and it also helps even more than their prices, and their inventory is probably the most important of all of the charm this much needed and much adored, bookstore, holds, and that is the people who own and run this fine establishment. They have brought to Kingsville what we did not have, and I am so grateful for that, so thank you. Mr.& Mrs. DiFranchesca

Apparently this place has been in Victoria for decades, but I never heard of or seen them until…read morerecently. Guess I need to open my eyes. Ha ha! Mom and I checked out our favorite subjects. There was plenty to offer with a wide variety of subjects, but I thought the prices were a little high. Guess I'm just cheap. Anyway, this seems to be the premier place to shop for books in Victoria. The staff also seemed very friendly and helpful. Please shop here!

We had set out to check out a small independent bookstore in the area to find it closed for the…read moreweekend. Sign said it was to give employees a weekend with family before summer vacation ends. So we found this bookstore, not an independent but we never heard of this chain. It was interesting, lots of unique decorations. A couch, some tables and chairs, a separate children's reading area near the front desk. It was a decent size and had shelves of books as well as boxes everywhere with more books! Up front were both new releases and bargain or discounted books. They are mostly fiction, a huge romance section, but no texas history and the true crime section was tiny. So if you want non fiction might not be the place for you. Also if you don't like hunting and searching to find that perfect book also not the best place. Some people love that feeling and this store is for them. They had the normal romance or Sci fi sections but did have some fun offbeat sections like super cute mysteries and Alex Cross section. Another cool feature was by certain books like the Cross section or Clive Cussler they had laminated sheets showing the reading order as they had continuous character stories. Shana thought it was cool, friendly people and a cozy atmosphere. A bit of a maze as used bookstores should be according to her. The staff was friendly and again Shana had a cemetery question and one lady there had a ton to share! There is a small restroom as well. Another cool feature I saw being used was if you were a regular or member they kept track of books you read or bought. Not long after we walked in I heard them talking to a lady letting her know she had read the book she handed them. Then did a search and found she read the other books in that series as well. Neat feature. Overall I would recommend this store, more so if you live nearby and can join but if you have time to find that perfect book fly on in!!
