My favorite Japanese restaurant in Mexico. I start come back here since I found this spot last time I was in GDL. As I born & raised in Japan, I appreciate for something authentic not those weird "Asian-ish sushi" or "why con queso! Sushi?".. I don't know they might have those on the menu because of the popularity in Mexico but I don't pay attention nor order those. I prefer my food and my people are not complicated. I haven't try everything here but all I had are taste good. Sushi and combo dish(comes in a huge fan shape box contains variety of main Well known items such as sushi, sashimi, tempura, charbroiled teriyaki salmon & grilled chicken, rice ,salad, rolled eggs, few style of pickled vegges) , miso soup is done perfectly with extra green onion. That tells me they know what they doing. Me and my co-worker always order same 3 items. We will try some another menu after we get tired these and I might update my reviews. Just give us a few more months we are still craving those 3 items every week.
There is one can be minus for something they should care for their customers. I really feel bad about their Chopsticks.
Yes our dear eating tools, chopsticks.
They need to be upgraded.
They are cheap, too short and weak. Simply Uncomfortable. Once upon the time in Japan, Train stations sells old fashion lunch boxes with those cheapie chopsticks but after 21 century I don't see them anywhere anymore. But I see them in Mexico in 2015. Like vintage stuff. Restaurant owner should imagine that it's like using small plastic spoon for eating good Pozole.
I even feel sorry for local Mexican folks have to manage to use that. I can't. I'll bring my own chopsticks next time. Travelers be careful, Cash only. Parking can be tough on peek time. 4 stars! read more
