But the staff and technologist here made an annoying uncomfortable experience almost a cakewalk! When I walked into the lobby, I was promptly checked in and directed to the Women's Imaging area, where I was asked to change into a robe. The tech then took me in the back, and I was done within about 15 minutes. The tech was lovely, patient, and accommodating. She was very professional and helpful, too. And after I got home, I got my results within a few hours just by logging into the portal! I now have a clear report to discuss with my doctor, and I will return to Zwanger for the follow-up ultrasound they recommended. Thank you to all the staff at Zwanger Pesiri in Stony Brook for a wonderful experience! I will definitely continue to get all of my imaging done here, and I highly recommend this place!

Each time I've gone I have been seen and taken care of without any long waiting times. The desk clerks are efficient and are able to call up my insurance records immediately. Test results have been quick, complete, cohesive and timely. Comparisons have been made to previous tests, if any, and the reports have gone immediately to my primary care Doctors and my own MyChart website. Walking in, it was more spa like vs doctor's office, and even had spa music playing, which immediately makes you feel calmer about what you are about to do. The staff was friendly and the whole thing just seemed too easy, I was wondering if it was real. During Covid the experience may be a bit different. There were markers on the floor when you entered to ensure you didn't stand too close to someone. I should note there was only 1 other person there for an appointment when I was there. There was also a hand sanitizer dispenser by the front desk. Employees and techs wore masks. The waiting area had screens in between the chairs to ensure you were safe while you waited. I waited less than 5 minutes, which is pretty unheard of in the mammography world. If you know, you know. I was brought into a lovely changing room to put on my spa robe; no medical gown here. Then after another few minutes the tech came to get me to bring me into the test room. The room had calming nature pictures showing to keep that spa feel going. There was also another hand sanitizer dispenser by outside the testing room. I got my results in less than 2 weeks, but had to go back in for an additional screening. Appointments are easy to get, not sure if that is because of the pandemic or not, but was able to schedule something only a couple of days out which is so nice. The staff was just as wonderful the second time around and I was brought into a changing room as soon as I checked in. A new report was sent to my doctor that evening and all was good (although 2 days later and I haven't received a call from them which seems odd). Pure Mammography may not be the norm for mammograms, but it should be as it makes the experience so much more tolerable and less stressful.

So much so, last year I had to be sedated! Zwanger-Persiri radiology has state of the art equipment for all your imaging needs. And it's so convenient, so close to my home. The staff is very patient and professional and they always play on their television in the lobby educational programs. I was watching a show on Great White Sharks, I didn't want to leave! Once I'm in the MRI room, they're playing 80s music to keep calm. Not moving for 10 minutes? I'm like a shark, constantly in motion. I sat still, payed my co payment and was out the door. It's really location specific- today 1/19/26 around 3:10 pm- at the east setauket location I was…read morethere getting a cat scan with IV contrasts - the blonde person inserting the IV placed it and withdraw blood from me in a syringe at the same time and saved it on the counter - not telling me what or why she needed it and then proceeded to tell me to leave and wait in the room next door- i then asked why the blood was taken she said oh they need to check my kidney function( test my dr did before sending me for this test) she then proceeded to put some drops in a card to run in machine and saved the rest- she came back said test was ok but still didn't discard the left over one in the syringe- it was instead placed in an cut envelope ( extra unsafe step there not needed!!) and since I wouldn't leave , she attempted to discard the syringe protected in the half cut enveloped. I said no - then took the syringe out of the envelope and emptied half the blood in syringe in the red hazard disposable sharp bin next to me first before dropping into the completely in the bin. Now be careful everyone- something fishy about this be careful - be vigilant - trust no one!! I advised the technician next time to inform me of what she was doing before proceeding. Without my consent, she collected my blood to run test without my permission. Shocking! Wonder what else is going on there. Be careful yall!!! I would be careful everyone- ask questions when not sure and always trust your instinct. This is a first time I know that a radiology place would draw one's blood free of charge to run a test without one's consent- they obtain consent for everything including asking and recommending test to charge your without insurance but somehow running test on my blood without consent is done without permission and free of charge. If this has happened to you don't ignore it speak up.

Do not use this facility. The people that work there do not follow proper procedure. On 10/11/19 I…read morewas supposed to have an MRI with contrast. That requires a blood test first to determine if I am was a candidate for the contrast. That is not what happened. Instead, they asked me to drink the three pints of cleansing fluid. Get into the gown. Have the IV inserted into my arm, and get into the MRI machine. After I was in the MRI for 5 minutes, they pulled me out and said that they could not give me the test. The creatinine level was too high. I completed my paper work and indicated I was claustrophobic. I am sure they did not read it. The cleansing fluid gives you the runs. I had to suffer through that too and never got the test done. I also questioned the waiver they asked me to sign about the contrast. The waiver made it sound like the contrast will stay in your system for months and years. I asked to speak to the radiologist, but they would only let me speak to the technician. A doctor has to be on premises if contrast is given. They assured me that the rate of incidence was .01%. Who knows if the radiologist was even on the premises or if the technician knew what she was talking about.

I am extremely claustrophobic and suffer from anxiety,Kevin the MRI tech was sympathetic to me and he took his time with me. Tina the office manager went above and beyond for me she was even going to sit in the room and talk to me while I complete my exam .From the moment I walk into the place the front desk was very friendly and attentive to me .The compassion and kindness the staff of medical arts showed was unremarkable .I would like to say Thank you to all of the staff for being so patient with me and helping me .

I asked for a same-day or next-day appointment as I am trying to get pregnant, and my doctor believed I had a dangerous cyst and wanted me to get an MRI with contrast on it. Well, this woman called all these locations, got the pre-approval, and worked her magic. I was extremely impressed with the customer service. The second thing that happened was when I got there I got all setup and the NP I believe found out I was looking to get pregnant and was concerned that the cyst may not be a cyst and could be a follicle since it was over a month since not getting my period. She did a normal preg test but it was neg but it could be just that I was early. The thing that I loved was that she was so concerned and understood what my concerns were and asked that I come back a different day after my blood work came back with a negative preg test. I am so I'm[dressed that she was truly concerned and thought what was best for me. I feel so comfortable and thankful for people looking out for others and not proceeding with something that could harm a baby if this were to be done... so Kudos to that NP! I was late for my appointment, which I HATE! but is sometimes unavoidable. I called the front desk…read moreen route and they were so accommodating and said to come anyway. Guess I had no choice, surgery is T -3 days away! I was greeted by the most pleasant front desk staff there ever could be and the inside is brand spanking new with ample seating. If you come with a wheelchair it is easily accessible with automatic entrance doors, large door openings and spacious exam rooms. I bring my loved one to lots of appointments in a wheelchair so I am always hyper aware of this. This appointment was for myself but good to know if you need accessible accommodations. Anyway, I was seen by the most thorough PA, Elina, and she really went over all my medical history with a fine tooth comb to make sure there were no surprises on surgery day. I've only gone under the knife once at a different hospital, but it was nothing like this. They took blood work and did an EKG on-site which was nice, I didn't have to go running to a lab and have extra turnaround time. Having surgery is stressful enough but this was really a pleasant experience. I hope I never have to come back, but I do feel they took the time and had my best interests in mind. Kudos to Stony Brook Medicine!
