There is a very unprofessional mailman working for this post office. Last Saturday on 10th of March, I was supposed to be receiving 3 packages of kitchen supplies from Amazon, but instead of seeing my packages, I found a ripped half page of note in my mailbox saying "packages @ post office", without even the full information of my 3 packages, or any reason for not being able to deliver my packages. So basically he decided to not deliver my packages because it was too much work I'm guessing. I called the post office today, waited for an hour on the line, until 5:08pm when they closed and no one answered, so I couldn't even request a redelivery. I'm very upset with the service because I thought I paid to have my packages delivered to my door. If they refuse to deliver my packages when I request it in person tomorrow, I will ask Amazon to send me replacements until they deliver my packages. Also to that mailman who did this: please remember that delivering packages is your job, you are paid to do this. Don't be lazy because you'll still have to do it another day anyways. Being lazy for one day is just gonna cause frustration to all of us. read more

Came here for passport assistance. Worst place. Their priority is the mail. You wait in line for passport assistance but you get skipped because people who are mailing things take priority. So the end result is you will be waiting here for a long time. Doesn't help that they are not able to communicate this until you are standing there and ask why you are not being helped. Place does not have efficient way to work. And they really don't care. Not recommended for passports go somewhere else if you can! read more

I have visited twice, and both times, everyone was very efficient. I used the self service kiosk, and that was easy also. The only issue I had was that the big drum that you can drop properly posted packages in, would not open. A man (I suppose a manager) directed me back to the drum to place my package in, I told him it was not opening. He apologized and said, it must be full. This Review is specifically for the employee Nora. Nora was Rude and Condescending. While I was waiting in line, she was talking badly about her previous customers wasting her time with questions. I was hoping I would get another employee. Sure enough when it was my turn I got Nora. I went out if my way being nice to her...saying "Good morning" and " I like your glasses" just in case she was just having a bad day. It didn't help. This post office and it's employees are totally useless/Brain dead. The only thing more useless would be dog shit on your shoe. I've had several packages sent overnight special delivery that were never delivered on time. The letter carrier told they had never seen them when in fact I looked in the tray inside the mail truck and could see my registered and certified mail sitting there. Called the post office asked to speak to the manager, gave my name, address and phone number. Never received a call. Now for the third time critical medications sent to me by my pharmacy haven't been delivered. Tracking number 92001902048551100728980443 indicates it's been out for delivery for 3 , yes 3 days! I would give these worthless bastards a negative 10 stars if I could. I have recommended to my United States representative to Congress person never to vote for a pay raise or any incentives for this worthless bunch of government employees. I had mailed a package a couple days ago via the kiosk inside the offices thinking I knew what I was doing. I unfortunately got the package returned to my front door step yesterday so today I went in expecting a not so fun experience simply based on government facility reputations. While waiting in line (which went fast) I noticed how patient the employees were to the customers ahead of me and sure enough they were just as patient when I went up for assistance. Michael helped me and he explained to me what I can do in the future, what I had done wrong, carefully took off the label so I didn't have to buy a new one (which took a solid 3 minutes). I stop by to pick up my mail before the PO actually opens so much of the time I don't have to deal with the customer service. The couple times that I have I had no problem. The grass is long, the bushes aren't cut and everything is overgrown. We live in a nice community where people take pride in the neighborhood. I am surprised to see so many negative reviews for the San Dimas Post Office. I have frequented this location for 20 years and have always received excellent service. Once I spoke to the manager because I didn't receive a small package that should have fit in my mailbox. He reviewed satellite images and could tell that the mailman had delivered to my box on the day the sender emailed that the package had arrived. Two weeks later someone in my neighborhood caught a woman stealing mail from mailboxes. Anyway, the post office manager was quite patient in researching the lost package for me. Also, I travel frequently so I put my mail on hold. The post office is very efficient and diligent about holding my mail. Staff are always helpful and friendly. read more

Was there for a passport renewal right before the holidays. Even though it was holiday hours and We didn't have an appointment, Someone took the time to help my daughter processes it. Earlier we were sent away from the Pomona office since someone called in sick. We even had an appointment but was turned away in pouring rain. I really hate the San Dimas post office. Every other week or so they consistently resend my package back to the Baldwin Park distribution facility and I have to call them and get it redirected back to me, it never fails I don't know what they're doing over there but they need to get it together and improve employee management and supervision. Whatever it takes for them to get package to their designated destination and not resend it back to the distribution facility that it just arrived from. Despite they couldn't help/fulfill my request for the Priority Mail padded envelopes, I left content. I picked up some other priority mail packaging for work in the meantime. I merely needed to request the priority mail padded envelopes online. The lady who helped me was efficient and nice. I observed their activity from the line for a couple minutes before being helped. I remember thinking it was one of the nicer and more jovial of postal service employees I had come across. Just one observation during an off-season visit to the post office. Come holiday times, that might be a whole other tune. Hope they catch this note and know my visit was more pleasant because of THEIR positive vibes and energy. Thank you! read more

I have never had a problem with this post office before this week. The staff there knows how to get things done. They seem to have a new manager there though. His name is Chris and his job is to "bring the line down". To do so he shuffles people around and has them wait for him in his own little line. When I got to the front of the line, Chris moved two people in front of me (that were formerly behind me). The woman he moved off to the side had been in front of me and had been waiting for him to come help her for at least 10 minutes. After he took me out of line and then was going to shuffle me back in, I left and went to the UPS store (in San Dimas). My package got to it's destination within 2 days and was only about $11 to ship. No line...no "manager" Chris. I will for sure pay more if I receive better service. I'm so sorry for the clerks that are working under this guy; they could run circles around him. read more

At some point this week, some neighbors came by saying they thought their package had been delivered at our home. While we have received several packages or letters for others mistakenly delivered to our home, we always give them to our neighbors or return to sender if not recognized. These people lived a block away. We searched but didn't find any packages for them in our box or the normal drop-off locations and told them we'd bring it to them if it came by. The next day, we get a letter in our mailbox from the post office asking to return the package that our neighbors asked for, which wasn't delivered to our place. I've tried calling repeatedly and always either get no answer or a busy tone. I replied on the note that we haven't seen the package. A post office lady came by this morning and questioned my wife about the package that they apparently recorded as delivering to our place instead of the neighbors' where it was supposed to go, but didn't, seeming to insinuate that we were keeping the package for ourselves. I've tried calling again and still no answer and I don't appreciate them telling the neighbors that we are responsible for a package that they admittedly delivered to the wrong place to begin with and recorded as our address when we never received it either. It's very disappointing that they have been so hard to communicate with as we would like to get this figured out for the sake of our neighbors, but there's nothing else we can do since we don't have the package either. ---------- UPDATE After several more call attempts, I got ahold of a manager, who blatently accused me of stealing the package. Over the course of the conversation, she discovered it wasn't a package, but a letter, and the reason it was believed to be us is by GPS - even though our mailbox is right next to our neighbors... She then asked *us* to contact our next door neighbor on behalf of the Post Office. No apologies for telling our other neighbors that we stole the stuff that they misdelivered or for harassing my wife about it in person this morning. To make things better she advised that she was going on vacation and that she is "the only one who answers the phone around here," so I've filed a complaint with USPS. I've had generally positive experiences with our Post Office until lately. I really hope they get some better management here. read more

This place is totally inefficient!!! The passport office door said it was closed even though the hours are M-F 9am-2pm. So I wait in the regular customer service line to be helped with my passport renewal. I wait about 20 minutes then am told someone in the passport office with be there shortly to wait for them. I go into the office she helps me with my forms. Then I have to wait in the regular line one more time to pay the postage fee. Really people take your business to the Azusa office they are way faster and you get everything done at one counter in half the time!!!! read more

The staff here is really nice. I came one day when needing to buy stamps for the wedding invites. I had already been to another local post office and they didn't have any of the Love stamps left. I guess they had run out (plus it was getting close to the price increase so they probably just let them run out). I came here and asked the lady at the counter, "I hope you have what I'm looking for because another post office ran out. Do you happen to have the Love stamp?" Her response, "Which one do you need?" as she held up both the 41 cent stamp and the one for the heavier invites. I just needed the 41 cent-ers. I was so happy. Well about a month or so later I was back again needing to get some basic postage for a letter that I knew was more than the basic postage rate, but unsure as to how much it would cost me. I came here because I was in the area already running errands. The automated machine wasn't dispensing stamps but did at least tell me how much postage I needed. So I turn around to get postage out of the vending machine. It wouldn't take paper money at all, only coins. I start to put my coins in and the machine starts passing my coins directly into the return slot. No matter how much I tried, the machine didn't like my coins. I was peeved and left in disgust. I thought, what good is a place if you can't even get the level of service you need. Hopefully they've rectified the issue by now. read more

I don't EVER write reviews for anything, even if I'm unsatisfied with the service. I understand completely that people have bad days or there could be a few setbacks... but not in this case. If you are expecting a package, go ahead and tack another week on to the date. If the package is there, IN THE BUILDING, tack on a few more days. There is no sense of urgency, and the woman that "helped" me simply told me "No" because she didn't want to go look in the back for 5 minutes. Unreal. I suggest no one ask her for anything, she'll more than likely tell you "no." On the other hand though, Michael is FANTASTIC. He is extremely helpful and will go out of the way for any of your needs. 1 Star is being nice. I took 2 pre-paid flat rate boxes in with the already paid label on it and a lady with major attitude wouldn't accept them and was rambling on about why they aren't accepted. So I then drove to the post office in La Verne which accepts these exact same packages and labels I send out daily for my business. I've never had a problem at Glendora, La Verne, Arcadia, and Monrovia Post Office with these EXACT SAME boxes and labels with the same product inside! Learn your product lady!!! read more

Had to come here several times on my trip mid-August. Staff was really efficient when I had questions. They didn't freak out about my service dog (which my local post office does - EVERY TIME I WALK IN WITH HER). They have a nice BIG counters so you can spread your crap out and put packages together. Only issue I had was that a few patrons wanted my packing tape - which I brought with me. I say to them, go down the street to Dollar Tree and buy a roll - it's only $1 - THAT'S WHAT I DID! I moved to AZ and just had a conversation with two staff members. They were both helpful. I don't know who these people are who are being so negative. Maybe find another substation. I love the fact that they offer the after hours kiosk, that makes things so much easier for me at work and personally. I was informed by a staff member that I had to wait for a certain person to process my passport. I waited for the passport staff member for over 40 minutes. Neither the staff member who helped me the first time nor the passport staff informed me that passports had closed at 1pm. When the passport staff member finished with the previous customer (ordering a passport). I was next in line and she informed me that they were closed. She said "I could wait longer till the other two customers in line were finished and only then would she process my passport". This was her version of " helping me out". Helping me out would have been informing me the first time around that passports were closed for the day. This way no ones time would have been WASTED!!!!!! read more

This place has the rudest people I ever met. The men a little better but Juanita needs to be fired. She has harassed me constantly and my mother. I told her to hold a package for me because I needed it to be delivered the next day . She went ahead and sent it anyways to the Roland Heights main post office where all the mail has to be sent to first before they mail it. I had to drive all the way down to Roland Heights to get my package so I could have it mailed with another carrier. Went back to San Dimas post office to get a refund of my money since the package was not sent. this is my usual post office spot when i need to send out packages or pick up stamps. it seems bigger than other locations i've been to. the staff is friendly. the 24-hour automated post office helps me out a lot since sometimes i don't make it in time before it closes. i had to go late tonight and it was super dark and scary! not much lighting in the parking lot and the only light inside comes from the automated machine. as we left, the little one says to me..."mom! wasn't it creepy in there???" damn, it sure was.... i'm only goin in the daytime. and btw...how is my 6-year-old using the word "creepy"??? isn't that a yelp word?? read more
