Seems there's no communication at this postal location. I saw the bad review but this post office was the closest so I called beforehand and asked if there was someone who could handle my passport application for the following day. The guy I spoke with told me to come in between 11:30 and 2:30. He didn't tell me that they were going to move the post office for whatever reason and when I got there at 1:30 there was a sign saying to go to the intersection of Colima and Otterbein. So I get there and have no idea where to go next but the nice fedex guy across the street pointed to a Korean sign and said to go there. I walk in and the guy at the counter tells me "no passports". Worst customer service ever. I had a name tag that had from and to where i was sending it and he just gave me a blank tag and said go in back of the line to rewrite my name after i waited 25 mins to get up to the counter. Older man with a piece of tape on his face. So rude of him when i first came up to the counter. I don't work at the post office and i dont know everything exactly. Really small post office with mainly mandarin speaking staff--which is great i guess, but sometimes i wonder if they know what i'm talking about (mainly when i ask for the not-so-commonly used priority shipping supplies that they don't ever seem to have). w/e thank goodness for usps going online! i can order the supplies i want, print labels, and even schedule package pickups from home. for those who are unfamiliar with the post office, it is located behind the fire station, across from rite aid. please be extremely careful when parking because of all the asian drivers and the awkward layout of the parking spaces. The other place at Colima and Otterbein is actually a print shop that serves as their mail substation where you can go to avoid lines if you just need to mail a package or buy postage. read more

USPS have FALSE ADVERTISEMENT of their Global Express Guarantee. I had the Money Back Guarantee, Guaranteed Deliver, and Merchandise Insurance and tracking system, but my sister in Korea never got her package. I sent it on July 7th. The guarantee delivery date was July 18th. They attempted delivery on the 13, 14, and 15th but they never left a note for her on how to retrieve the package. The USPS policy says "If the destination post does not deliver or attempt delivery by the guaranteed delivery date and the mailer files for a refund, the USPS may refund the postage." Ana, one of the USPS Clerk in Rowland Heights branch, was extremely rude to me and clearly did not want to help at all. She said verbatim that it " [...] was guaranteed delivery to the Korean post office and if they didn't do the job, then it is their fault." I pointed out to the policy and she rudely ripped a piece of paper in front of me and dismissed me. I asked to speak with the manager or supervisor and she referred me to La Puente Post Office Branch because they don't have manager there. I asked what was her title and she told me "it is personal." This is ridiculous. Then she rudely told me to leave. That was the most appalling and rudest thing someone ever done to me. The WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE when I was being reasonable and courteous and had followed their policy closely. I will NEVER EVER USE USPS ANYMORE. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT AND EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF. I usually go to this post office and no problems really occur to make me write a less than positive review. Now, this review isn't for the whole location in general-it's mainly for one worker. I came here to upgrade a shipping label that was First Class but was too heavy to be considered that. Considering I went there before with the same problem, I thought the solution would be quick and easy. The last time I went there needing to upgrade a label, I simply had to pay the difference between the Priority and First Class label. However, I went to a different person this time and the process was much more difficult. He suggested going back home and canceling the label, which I could not do as I was not the one who generated the label. He said there was a fee of $11 but then proceeds to tell me that there was a cheaper way to do it by putting it in a priority mail envelope. After I chose to put my stuff in the new envelope, he told me I didn't need to go back in line after I write the address. So I put my stuff in the new envelope and the line suddenly became rather long. I waited for him to finish with his customer, but when he was finished, he put up the "closed" sign and I assume went to break. I ended up having to back in line and waiting much more than I should have. All in all, I was just very displeased with that one worker's service. I would still come back here but I will probably try to get someone else. read more

package was just sitting in they post office with no updates on tracking untill i filled a claim with usps 800 number then within hours my package showed up in tracking system after a whole week with no updates. I live in California so with first class package should have recieved no later than 2 days not 2 weeks!! They prob would have stole it if i didnt file claim. This is by far the worst post office I've been to. I got there today at 4:58 and they locked the door on me. The place closed at 5. I still have two mins!!!! I think it's ridiculous that they don't give a receipt for dropping off a package. The guys excuse was that too many people drop off packages so they don't give receipts. Seriously? Created a Yelp account just because I needed to create this review concerning this particular post office/sorting facility....Called in from another state to have a package intercepted yesterday. I needed to have a package intercepted and was given the number to this location. Upon calling I was informed that having a package intercepted rarely works and that in their opinion I should have never sent the package unless I ordered COD ( I sell on Ebay, and this isn't even an option). I proceeded to let her know that it wasn't in her area yet and that I was trying to be proactive about the situation. I provided all the information needed and she turns around and tells me " we have so many packages come through, it's not like we literally touch every package so you pretty much are going to have to get used to the fact that the package will wind up at it's destination". I couldn't believe this. I understand being realistic, but telling someone how they should sell their items and then tell them what ever you try to do will be for nothing and there's absolutely no reason to try because no one can help is just beyond me. I feel awful about postal workers because most act as if they just hate their job and in turn they take it out on everyone else or feel that everyone should be miserable as well. I get it, there are crappy customers out there but there is no reason to be crappy to the few good ones who try and make your job easier. I contacted 4 other post officers before finally reaching this and was on the phone for hours at a time with each one trying to track down one package that was on the way. I finally went to USPS.com to get my package intercepted (even though the person here told me that was a lost cause). I figured I'd try again today and maybe I'll get someone less angry who has something more helpful to say. One can only hope.... For those who live near this post office, I feel for you guys, this is almost as bad as the one near where I live but at least mine doesn't feel the need to tell me how to do my job and why my choices to ship after payment was a dumb choice and that it's my fault I've lost my package.... read more

this post office is the worst post office I've been to, Seems there's no communication at this postal location, My wife and I stop by at this post office to send a package to China, I am an American and my wife is Chinese, After a long wait on line we finally one of the post office employee call next, as soon my wife and I start approaching he counter start looking us on a very unfriendly manner, I m not sure why, I put the Package on top of his counter top and I say to him on a very friendly manner, how are you today!, he completely ignore me and he start talking to my wife in Chinese on a very bossy manner, I asking him again, sir, how are you today, he keep ignoring me and keep taking to my wife very strong and very bossy, this time I say , sir I am talking to you and you are ignoring me, I am the one who is sending this Package and I would appreciate if you answer when I am talking to you, he reply very angry and loud, I am not taking to you I am talking to your wife, I say, Sir I ask you three times how are you today but you ignore me every time, It would be nice if you answer when a customer is talking to you, he say very loudly, I Am Ok.., now let me talk to your wife. Now my wife is feeling very upset because of this employee attitude, my wife told him, you need to talk to my husband he is the one who has all the information that you need to mail this Package, he told my wife in Chinese, you are the same trash is your husband, that happens when you woman's marry guys other than Chinese, why do you marry this Idiot?, what happens, Chinese are no good enough for you, My wife got so angry that she start shouting at him, I ask my wife what happens, what is he saying to you, then she told me what this Post Office Employee just told her. Now I really feel that I was losing control because now he was way out of line and I wasn't going to take his abuse any longer, just about the same time another lady Employee got very mad at him and asking to stop or go inside, he told her who are you to tell me what to do, you can't tell me to shot up. This lady was very nice, she ask my wife and I to go to her counter and ignore that guy, she help us right away and she apologize for this other Employee behavior. Once again, an ordered package has not arrived. This is the 3rd time. I went to this post office to locate it. An older Asian gentleman (with a mark on his forehead - for the sake of description since he wore no name tag), was rude when I attempted to ask a question. They referred me to another post office where a manager is. They said they would contact the carrier & call me. No call. Saw the carrier, he said he didn't retrieve the package for delivery. How he would remember my address from his entire route is beyond me. I've called before to notate on my address that I've not received packages before. Seems to make no difference. I've filed a missing package claim. Awaiting a response..... This post office is not well run. I shouldn't have to use my work address to receive personal items. This post office is horrible. I printed a package online and waited in line to drop off the package. When I got to the counter I asked the Black lady if she can take this package for me. She said READ THE POSTED SIGN, ALL PREPAID MUST GO TO THE BACK DOCK in a loud manner as if to embarrass me. What kind of service is this? Why can't she take the package? So on my way on, I saw a big pin so I dropped my package in there. She screamed out loud again that YOUR PACKAGE WILL BE DELAYED. So I was like huh? So I went back to her and requested to have my package back. She said, YOU MUST BE THE $10 for recall fee. What recall fee, the package is right behind the wall. Are you kidding me?? No wonder the post office is going down hill. Whoever in charge of this post office should get the staff together and straighten things out. This is worst experience I have ever had in my life. Will never go back here again. The next day I went online to check the status of my package, it didn't show up. She must have delayed it.
