Worst post office ever! Very rude and unprofessional and full of Asians! Never scans my prepaid packages unless I demand them just so I know it doesn't get lost like the other ones! The lady with the glasses I can not stand, she just stood there and I had a question and I said excuse me can I ask you something and she just ignored me. Put yourself to use! If you don't mind experiencing horrible customer service, come here. Unfortunately, I had to mail a package and had to be helped by the extremely rude older Asian man. He obviously hates his job and shows it to every customer he encounters. I watched him help an elderly woman and it was sad to see how mean he was to her. I try to avoid this location if possible. Yikes. Welcome to the Happiest Place on Earth, not. People say the DMV is a nightmare but I think [any] post office is 20 times worse. There's always a line, irate customers, and a grumpy staff member who probably started off chipper but after all the angry, nasty customers, of course they'd be less enthusiastic about being there! The Rowland Heights Post Office is no exception. I was waiting to write this review but after having been 5 times, I think its safe to say that this is not somewhere I'd like to have to go back to soon. I should look into paying for shipping online and having it dropped off? Anything to not have to set foot in another post office. What's worse about this one is every time I go in, I have the unfortunate luck to have not 1 but 2 confused turned angry customer. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT COME HERE. This Post Office is located next to the parking lot of Rite Aid, not the Bank of America. However, I'd suggest you rather not know about this location because this is the worst one I have been to out of the Post Office on Lemon in Walnut and the one inside Hannam on Golden Springs. Each time I come here, there is a super long line so it takes around 20 minutes for me to actually get my turn. I buy all my postage online so the package is ready to be shipped when I go to the Post Office but I just wait in line so I can see the employees put it in the back, instead of leaving it on the counter. However, the latest time I came here, I just decided to drop off the box because the line was almost out the door and I did not have the time to wait in line. However, the next day, I received my package back at my doorstep because my package was apparently 13lbs 1oz, instead of the 13lbs I paid for... WHAT. They even stupidly wrote ON my box and said "Additional postage needed for 13lbs 1 oz". Now they made me waste a perfectly clean box and extra tape too?? I am not going to ship a box that was stupidly written on to my clients so I had to use a new box, which is around $2!! The post office charges by the pound so any additional ounce is calculated as 1 lb. So they wanted me to pay for 14lbs of postage for that measly ounce? I always weigh my boxes before I ship and I am pretty accurate, maybe around 1-2 oz off and this package was 12 lbs 4oz when I weighed it at home. This has never happened to me before when I go to the Lemon or Hannam location. Even though this Post Office is closest to me, I am never coming here again. I am assuming this Post Office makes commission or something per pound which is why they are so greedy & stingy. This Post Office is run by Chinese people and although I am Chinese, I have to begrudgingly admit that *some* Chinese people are very cheap and stingy in any possible way. Previously, I wanted Express Mail stickers and I can normally order them for free w/ free shipping from USPS's website but I needed them fast so I just asked this place. The woman said that they can't give me any (for unknown reason) even though usps.com gives them out for free! You're not losing any money lady!! UGH. read more

This place used to be a US Post Office, but at some point I believe they sold it to China Post. But don't worry, I think US Post Office has some special contract with China Post so that you can take care of your US mail needs here. It's pretty cool how the China Post employees know English (they prefer Mandarin though). Once in a while, you might run into a non-Chinese employee; US Post Office must send one of their American employees to help out. All kidding aside, be careful when buying uneven number of stamps; count them before exiting the building. I'm only giving it a star because there is no options to give 0 stars. Based on my experience here as well as my proficiency in both English & Mandarin Chinese, I think it's safe to say that this particular Post Office practices reverse discrimination against people that speaks English. I've seen the employees being extremely helpful with people speaking Chinese, but you can see the annoyance on their faces when the next guy in line is speaking English. From what I can gather their English is good enough to be polite, but they just choose to be rude. Especially that old Chinese dude everyone seems to be talking about here on Yelp. BY FAR the worst customer service ever. Save yourself from ruining the rest of your day and don't bother stepping foot into this hell hole. Like the majority of the other reviews here, this lovely review is for David, the older Chinese man with glasses who's extremely discriminatory against non-Chinese people. All hell broke loose when I asked to borrow some of his tape and -gasp- forgot to return it back to him. He raised his voice extremely loud and yelled "HEY IF YOU BORROWED MY TAPE YOU SHOULD KNOW TO GIVE IT BACK!!!!!" with the most offended look on his face. This happened in a room full of people, and was definitely unnecessary. Right after this dramatic ordeal, he was a bundle of joy with a group of Chinese customers. Lighten up, David. Extremely poor service from this angry old Asian man :( So my sweet mom, the day after Mother's Day, misses my brother, a marine stationed in Okinawa. She wants to send a package to him and has been so anxious about it since English is not her first language and she's really self conscious about it. She musters the courage to go by herself and was hoping the people at the post office could help her. When it's her turn in line, the person helping her was this old Asian man. My mom was having trouble filling out the mail forms and you could tell she was struggling. She even told him it was her first time sending anything out and she's not completely sure how to. Instead of helping her, he kept yelling at her, asking what was wrong with her. Roughly telling her to just fill it out. To hurry up. Look I get it, she was holding up the line. But couldn't you have helped her fill out the form? Maybe not idk. Fine. No problem. But you didnt have to yell at her like that in front of a room full of people making her feel humiliated and more self conscious. read more

This post office is VERY VERY RUDE!!! I arrived at 5:01PM, I know I am a little late but their attitude is out of this world!!!! I am just dropping off 3 priority mail that are all pre-paid. I saw the exit door was open, so I took a short cut. The moment I step in the staff"S" starting yelling at me. "We are closed, out!" another yelling at the same time "You can't come in from the exit, get out! we are closed" I asked nicely "These are all pre-paid, can I just drop it off?" Staff pointed his finger at the door and said "No, you cannot! We are closed, drop it off outside, there's a box" How hard is it to just answer nicely? just a simple reply of, "sorry, we are close you may drop off your package outside at the blue box" and that's it. There's no need to force me out with such attitude. By the way, there's a lot more issue with this USPS. Here's a few I had encountered. 1. Asked for a receipt for drop off package, they said no. it's not their job because my label were purchased online and they don't get credit for it. 2. 70% of my First class mail(with tracking #) never get scanned until it get to the main distribution center. The other 30% that never get scanned either went missing or don't even get scanned until it's delivered. 3. rude lady kept rejecting my first class mail, she said my package is too light and too thin. I am shipping a digital code for a ps4 game, how heavy can it get? Parking here is horrendous especially during holiday season. I was just there two days ago and the line was LONG! Lucky for me the guy that helped me was really friendly and smiled when he helped me. He asked me what was inside the present box and I just told him and followed with a "surprise!!" and he just laughed. He helped me in a timely manner and everything was done correctly the first time. As for my last experience there, not so friendly. The lady was rude, inconsiderate and wasn't very nice at all. I mean, its not that difficult to understand what I am trying to do (send a large envelope) but for some reason she held me there for a while, a much longer while than it should have. She also didn't do the transaction correctly. I left upset, hungry and late. UGHHH This place.. I hate when i forget to go to my home post office on the weekends. So previously I have had problems with the attitude of the lady workers. The old man who works there was helpful in saving me money by sending via Media Mail, but did not explain that it would take FOREVER to reach its destination. I went Monday to send a package to my mom for her birthday. I got the old man (after waiting in a crazy line that I've never seen at this location). He was a bit jolly at first and suggested I put my box in a Priority box to save money. "Look at the bottom shelf over there" i go over and the top box definitely will NOT fit my package. So I go back and tell him. He says "NO, the bottom look at the bottom" and i told him i did. He walks over in past everyone in line to pull out a box under the one I saw and starts to yell at me "IF YOU LOOK WITH MORE DETAIL YOU SEE IT." Umm. I'm sorry that i'm willing to pay the extra 5 bucks- I definitely would have paid that to spare myself from the PUBLIC HUMILIATION this old man enacted upon me. Thanks Post Office off Nogales. Be aware that they are going to rip you off when you send cards internationally. Went to the store today, and the old Asian rep was very rude and kept saying if I use a regular cushion envelop to mail a small card they are going to treat it as a parcel. This post office is so repulsively sad and poorly maintained that I drive to a different city just to handle my post office needs!! Considering I live less than 5 minutes away form this facility, and now drive 20 minutes for a post office, that says a lot! They need an automatic teller machine. Their lines are super long every time you go in. I've been in this facility about 4 times at different times of days and always waiting at LEAST 25 minutes in line. 25 minutes was my shortest visit!! If they had an automatic teller machine, I would return! Their customer service is soo poor that I'd rather speak to a machine! Speaking of their customer service, lets dig in! Their customer service lacks enthusiasm and English. Wrong to say? Maybe, but truthful! If they can't understand English they should not work the front desk! Last but not least, it's always dirty. If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. Very rude and inconsiderate staff. Was trying to mail the 2nd batch of my wedding invitations (1st batch was mailed without a hitch at a different post office) and the lady insisted that the $0.66 stamp was not enough. I calmly tried to example that the first 150 invites I sent out were accepted in Whittier and some guests already received them with no issues. She proceeded (in a loud voice for the whole building to hear ) to say how EMBARRASSED I was going to be when all my wedding invitations get returned back to me or when they withhold my invite from the recipient until THEY pay the extra $.46. SERIOUSLY?!? As an already stressed bride, I don't need this idiocy in my life right now. (or ever). And they told me that the address I was shipping to didn't exist so either the company I'm shipping to has a fake address or the post office has some outdated databases. Very terrible service! They've charged me $13 to ship an 18g package to Canada, but only $9 when I shipped the same package to England?? On top of that, when I've shipped multiple packages at the same time and request for tracking of certain packages, they've messed up the tracking twice already that's had customers biting my ass saying I've shipped it to the wrong place! Terrible post office with lousy service. I dropped off a package in the mail receptacle outside the facility last Saturday 30 minutes before they opened and somehow my package went "missing" as there's been no movement. When I alerted the postal worker about my concern this week she told me that there's been a lot of theft lately during after hours. I explained that I dropped off my package 30 minutes before they opened so it's not likely someone will attempt to steal it from the receptacle in broad daylight in public. I then asked her if you knowingly admit there's theft issues why don't you remove or seal the receptacles and add cameras? How can you not secure the mail drop container on premise when you know there's major theft issues? For god sake, do you damn job USPS. read more

Today on the day of Tuesday on the month of July of the year 2019. At around 1030am. At this location of Nogales and Colima Road in the city of West Covina/ Roland heights. I am a reseller so I do go to the post office regularly. I entered the said so establishment. I ended up coming in with a roll of postal tape. The ones they have in the main offices, my package to ship and my label as well. I go to the people at the front desks and I approach a worker. A Middle Aged Asian woman on the middle counter of the front area. She gives me a postal envelope for priority to put my package into to ship. Next thing I know she grabs the postal tape out of my hand. Tells me it's wrong to steal and where did I get that from. I told her I got it from a friend. Truly I did. I don't know how she received it. I sell at different venues on the weekends at swap meets etc. I told her the truth and have been around these products for years. She told me it was postal property and I gave it to her without a issue. She then tells me they could get into trouble etc. while she rants on I'm going to tape the label to the packaging. She continues to speak loudly but this time in her native language. I'm of Spanish decent but have Native American and Mexican blood in me as well. Obviously I'm not going to understand. Talking to another worker in this rude tone telling him what happened and what she did. I come back go to another worker of Mexican decent. He asks if I'm shipping my package. I say yes and continue to Tell him I came in and had the postal tape. I was given it and looking in her direction told her. You should believe people, some of us tell the truth and you shouldn't accuse people of anything. Not everyone is the way you see them. She tells me no I didn't accuse you of anything. I said okay well I'm just letting you know. The man scans my package and I leave. Unhappy with the visit I have had. Btw their postal tape sucks. Couldn't even get it on the package looking like I was 5 years old barley even knowing how to wrap a present for the first time. I'm surely never coming back to this location. So-so post office place. I've only come here on work errands so I haven't really experienced the crowdedness. The staff is nice I guess but not that helpful. They're pretty helpful on the phone though. Our office filed a claim for an Express Mail failing to deliver by its guaranteed date, but USPS sent a letter saying that we could only do shipping refunds at the post office. I went there and the lady seemed like she had never heard of refunding shipping. She said, "if you did it online, you can only refund it online", even after I explained myself. So does this mean I can only get refund if I did it in person? So inefficient and a waste of time. USPS agency seems to have communication problems! A couple of times I scheduled a pick-up from this office, but they never came. It was only until I called the office that someone came over right away, claiming "they never got [the request]". Really? All three times I scheduled for one? I'm sure it's true, but it can be frustrating dealing with the people here! read more

I read the bad reviews and still took my chances. Bad idea. Everyone was right. I was sending out 26 bridal shower invites, and each invite has 4 tiny, tiny little half pearls glued on it. I went to buy some stamps, and I got the Chinese guy. Didn't get his name, and not sure if there's more than one Chinese guy there, but he was the WORST. He took one of my envelopes and realized there were little pearls, and started asking his coworker in Chinese if he should charge me more because of the pearls. His coworker, a friendlier looking female with bangs, said probably not, they're so small they're negligible. However, the Chinese guy was like, "but I can feel them." and he started PICKING at the little pearls, and he picked A HOLE through one invite envelope, then picked up another invite and picked a hole through that too! At this point I got really annoyed, he was DESTROYING my invites. If the pearls had come loose from the invite I would've just lost it. I speak Chinese, so I told him to stop picking holes in my envelopes, and to just give me the stamps I asked to purchase. Then he was like, well if your guests don't get the invites, or if they get charged...etc. I told him I'd take my chances. Seriously, even after his coworker said it was fine, he picked HOLES in my envelopes just to prove that I should be charged??! Avoid mail-destroying-old-Chinese-man AT ALL COSTS. read more

I went on a saturday and there was a lot of people, but the line goes by pretty fast I guess. The people working there are pretty nice and informative. The only reason why I give it 3 stars is because of misgiven information. What I mean is that one person would say one thing and another person would say another thing. I wanted to ship a package to relatives in Venezuela and it costs a lot! The thing is that I thought we had to fit a certain weight into the given packaged back they gave us( or at least thats what the guy said). When we went over to pay and hand them the package, another lady asked if we stuffed everything into the package. We were confused, and realized it was the same price for shipping even if we stuffed the packaging back full. I got really irked because I already sealed the packet and I left out some items because I thought putting it in would cause the package to be more pricey. Well, if anything dont seal until you pay and make sure to double/triple check to make sure what the limits are read more
