I honestly don't recommend this USPS. The process feels outdated and overly strict compared to other USPS locations. Tape requirements are enforced in a way that isn't consistent with other branches, which makes basic shipping more complicated than it should be. For returns selected with "no box, no label," you'd usually expect the location to provide packaging. Instead, you're required to buy a box there, which feels unnecessary and like you're paying extra for something that should already be included and paid for by the seller. That's double charge and robbery. Overall, the experience feels inefficient and not customer-friendly. read more

This is a minuscule post office Parkside Station that is not open on weekends. It sits on 101-19 Metropolitan Avenue (between Olcott Street and Continental Avenue) servicing Forest Hills, Queens, NYC. There is one minuscule workstation table with postal forms available. This post office is accessible via MTA NYC Transit buses SBS Q52, SBS Q53 and Q11 Woodhaven Boulevard at Metropolitan Avenue followed by a reasonable distance walk. read more

The amount of negative comments in here doesn't make any sense AT ALL!! City and federal employees have enough to deal with as it is. The manager at this location is so incompetent. The manager barely comes and the supervisor as well. The employees at this station never have anything to give to their customers because their management fail to provide it to them. Today was the first Tim in the Forest Hills NY Post Office and I am not happy. I was yelled at twice for asking a simple question, and told to wait for a supervisor. My question regards why I got mail with a green return receipt sides on l envelope but the actual green ticket missing? I did not sign that green return receipt card. Who did? How can this happen? Now 25 min after closing I'm still waiting for a supervisor to talk to me. Apparently, she knows a customer is waiting to ask one question. Clearly no one cares. And being yelled at for asking the question above and yelled at again trying to ask if the supervisor was actually coming to talk to me is unacceptable. Dialing back the years of my memory in an effort to seek some silver lining, averting a poor review has turned up----fruitless. My local USPS isn't better but likely worse than the other US Postal Services I have had the opportunity to transact within. The simple purchase of buying stamps is of no issue, well labeled package mailings lend no note worthy mention of difficulty. It's the other negative experiences that have left me needing to be honestly forthcoming with my reviews position, not exactly wanting to PooPoo a federal agency but someone's gotta say something, which has inadvertently become my calling card. On the cleanliness scale, USPS gets a jucy--zero star's. A noticeable film covers the glass countertop where labels and mail sending options sit below within their dirty trays. The staining on the floors is quite significant highlighting the years of foot traffic, upon floors whose beige color accentuates the black heel marks. How's about a quick wax job? Torn papers strewen about, windows so filthy dirty that they've apparently decided to forego cleaning them. Just hang an American flag in front of the caked on muck as a halfed arsed attempt to cover the grime, a poor attempt at a windows display. The entire place speaks of laziness, unwillingness to take pride in your place of work with a customer relation management that mirrors the floors quite appropriately. On two occasions, a computer failure occured rendering all systems inoperable. Barking instructions behind the thick glass of "Go to the main branch" were the only words heard, all questions dismissed. If the private sector took a level of involvement, all these folks would be replaced so fast, their heads would spin. Sad state of affairs. read more

DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU REALLY HAVE TO. The employees are extremley unpleasant and degrading. I tried to mail a package and instead I was being yelled at and made fun of as if I was a child on a playground speaking to the local bully. There is no such thing as customer service here. Being ignored and interrupted are the norm all you can do is hope to not get yelled at or personally insulted (like I did, which was the final straw). Seriously, it will ruin your day if you go here. There is a UPS down the road at Staples and there is the USPS office closer to Austin St. I would suggest both before coming here unless being ridiculed is your thing. read more

No drop off! I had an envelope just too wide for a mailbox, already labeled and ready to go. There was a line around the block and they said I had to wait in line for drop off! I've only been here twice and both experiences were great and no line. I duno what all the bad reviews are for, what do u expect it's just the PO. I too, was expecting bad service. You know, grumpy government workers but both times service was great. In the whole 10 minutes I was in there, 3 other patrons were served and they all had a report with the workers as if they'd been friends for years. It was refreshing to see. All in all, it's the PO. A service was provided and with a smile. I'd say this location is one of the better ones in the area. The one on Austin St always has a line and their workers are less friendly. read more

It's the same thing every time, the ladies behind the counter are rude and disrespectful. I usually don't ask them any questions because I pretty much know how they're going to respond, but on one occasion, I made the mistake of asking and was actually told to go on line and educate myself with the mail system. What? Isn't that their job? I will never understand employees who are in the customer service business and yet, feel it's alright to treat people this way. I feel like they almost enjoy berating people. I witnessed first hand as they kept yelling at a frail, elderly man repeatedly because he placed the boxes he wanted to mail in a location that they didn't approve of. horrible customer service. waited in line for fifteen minutes just for them to say they don't have any tape. had to run to the 7/11 across the street to get tape and wait in line again. once i got in, they turned everyone else that was on the line away because they close at 5 and it was 4:55 and they locked the doors. once i finished with my packages, myself and everyone else in the store had to wait until every person was finished for them to unlock the door and let us go. we were literally unable to leave the store because they had us locked in. i explained to them i had my car on the meter and the woman said "no one leaves". absolutely ridiculous. read more

Very unhelpful and unknowledgeable staff. I called them before going in to see if they sold big boxes and I gave them the measurements of my item and they said sure we have plenty. I go in and they say no we don't carry big boxes only small ones and employees weren't even nice. Ended up going to USPS in flushing where they were very helpful and helped me ship my item. read more

What is it about this post office? There is a culture of rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful behavior towards customers. This is not the first time that I left the place annoyed, upset, or witnessed disrespectful behavior of the employees towards other customers. Every question you ask them is answered in a rude manner or in an annoying tone of voice. They treat you as if you're a nuisance. Everything they do feels like they're doing you a favor. Meanwhile, the post office is relatively not busy, most of the time the place is empty, comparing to other post offices, which was the reason I went there in the first place. They have it very good, yet they act like they are overworked. I came to the post office on August 26th at 4:15 pm to send out a package. I asked the employee a couple of questions and every question was met with an attitude and annoyance. Here are a couple of examples of our conversation. Me: When will my package arrive at the destination? Employee: (without even looking at me) "It's in the receipt." "Two days" (with annoyance). Me: Can I track the package? Employee: (with an attitude and annoyance, without even looking at me) "It's in the receipt. " Isn't it easier just to answer the question politely? After all, isn't it part of the job to treat customers with respect? It wasn't busy. There were hardly any people in the place. I finally lost my patience and told her that she had an attitude and that I miss the good old days when the post office employees were treating customers with respect. She, in turn, kept repeating "Aha, buy, Aha, buy... She repeated the same phrase probably 5 times. read more

If I could leave a 0 star rating I definitely would. There's is always a problem with usps delivery. When you try to contact customer service you don't reach anyone only a automated voice that is not even helpful. When calling my local usps postal office it's even less helpful. You have to call on an average 9-11 times before someone finally picks up the phone and then when they finally answer they have the nastiest attitudes like they are being bothered to do their job. It's terrible I'm pretty sure 94% of the workers working for the company should not be employed. Anyway, I finally get a representative at the Conner street location in the Bronx they inform me that they aren't sure if the package is there so they will call me back in 5 minutes. 40 minutes later still no call back. So I call back again it take about 7 times calling for someone to pick up the phone this time the representative tells me that a lot of carriers have been calling out sick so they package is most likely at the post office so I should come and pick it up. Mind you its 3:49 the post office closes at 4 on Saturday. So I hop in the car go to the post office get there at 4:04 had to argue for them to finally let me in. I stay in the post office till about 4:35 while they look for package while giving me attitude the whole time, like I had asked them to misplace my package. She finally comes back and tells me they can't find the package it may be out for delivery. Long story short the package was not delivered. It was supposed to be delivered on Monday Jan. 4,2016 and attempted redelivery the next day Jan. 5,2016 none of that happened. It is now Sunday Jan. 10,2015 and it looks like again they have lost my package. read more
